She has been signed by republic and opened for the Jonas Brothers. She has created her own company and she is singing with some of the top singers now. She is doing great things. This song went viral 100 million views and now She is a star shooting up.

I think she's got a way better tone than Nicks, with a fuller silkyness to her voice. Definitely put her own stamp on this one, which is rare with young singers, they usually try to replicate the original vocals, not here I think. Also, she's carrying it completely by herself, no backing vocals or dubbed harmonies like the original, that's gotta be worth a mention, it's very special vocal

Just heard her for the first time about a week ago myself. Totally agree her voice is stunning. I love the choices she makes on the song as well. Since watching this one -three times now - Ive seen two more covers that she's done. Another Fleetwood Mac song and a different one I can't remember this early in the morning. Both were excellent.

I was so in love with her in high school when Rumours came out. Every teenage boy I knew was, and probably a lot of the girls as well.

She has a few more you should do that are covers of Fleetwood Mac and one that is a great rendition of “Cry me a River”, she has a great voice and much different from the Dreams cover. Lanie is 23 now that video is about a year old so she was 22 then. She has a lot original music that she wrote in High School believe it or not. She now has a record deal and is writing more original music. Lanie is the real deal and she's going to go places in the music industry.

First heard of Lanie around 7 years back (around the same time as The Warning),and she was a young girl with a brilliant voice,and then,like The Warning,I could tell she had the talent.Unlike The Warning who have gone from strength to strength,Lanie was still posting videos on You Tube,usually solo covers,but also done several duets as well,and her potential wasn't fully realised until last year when she posted this. If Fleetwood Mac ever lost Stevie Nicks - Lanie would be the only female I could think of who could step up. Beautiful tone indeed,she has been doing some of her own originals,and this girl certainly has talent - worth looking out.

Danny listen to Stevie Nicks recordings, yes Stevie is the original artists name of this song, I'm shocked that you don't remember her or the Fleetwood Mac Band. Lanie is awesome if you listen to both ladies side by side there is only very slight difference with this song. Lanie changed the timing but it did her justice, Lanie is amazing. I'm so glad and happy for Lanie that she was signed within 10 days of putting this recording on TikTok, amazing! whatever song she sings it's ... awesome!!

@@nprbiz you know all this how exactly? Granted his video went viral, but that doesn't mean she got her recording contract as a direct result of him! She has been singing before he made that video. In fact, she started singing over 10 or 12 years, as a young girl. She is almost 22 now.

Lanie's great, she sounds just like the original Stevie Nicks (one of my favourites) version, in fact some thought she's lip-syncing, but she's not!
Have you come across Emily Linge? She's only 14, but very pretty and has a mature voice, plays piano, guitar and writes her own songs! Well worth a visit to her YT channel where you'll find over 100 covers and own compositions any of which are well worth the visit!
May I recommend 'Procol Harum's' "Whiter Shade of Pale" or 'Eric Carmen's' "All B Myself"? Enjoy

Love this song and her voice Danny. Have listened to other songs from you so here is my question for you regarding the very extensive recording equipment here (I think). Is there a lot of mixing and auto tune going on here? Other songs by her just do not sound this "polished"... just wondering as I have listened to you talk about auto tune and such before.
Cool. Well, it sounds very polished and more polished than I’d expect from sitting on a bed in a room singing.. I was wondering if it was recorded first and then shot the video over it but the timing of the vocals looked pretty spot on so I’m not sure. As far as AT use it’s not obvious to me if it was used.
Reverb for sure and a vocal coach in another reaction video suggested compression as well. I’ve listened to just about everything she’s posted on YT and this is a more polished production. I think she sounds great on all of them.
