- Salam! We are a Muslim couple from China and this is my wife and I's first trip to Indonesia. We set off from Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, to Jakarta.
Before this, we knew nothing about Indonesia, I didn’t even know it was the country with the largest Muslim population in the world.
We spent nearly ten days of Ramadan here. During these ten days, we visited Istiklal, the largest mosque in Indonesia, experienced the suhoor and Iftar here, cut off my hair, and went to the streets. Ate a lot of food (I'm totally in love with nasi goreng).
Unfortunately, by the time this video was posted, we were already back in China and we didn't have much time to continue exploring Indonesia. We also wanted to go to Bandung and Mount Bromo before, but due to fasting, we were worried that it would be difficult, so we decided to come to Indonesia next time (maybe a few months later).
I hope everyone watching this video can stay healthy and be happy every day!

Assalamualaikum! The instant noodle was the soup version, not dry. Maybe that's why the taste is not what you expected hahaha. Make sure to leave some water from the boiling so that seasonings can dilute, insyaAllah it should taste better. Hope you guys enjoy it!

I am an Indonesian Muslim. Of course, I'd love to welcome them. I am their subscriber. If they have visited my hometown I would like to offer them my hometown food and fruits too. My hometown is famous for seafood products. And will cook special food for them. But I'm poor, just think of them. My hometown is far away from Jakarta and needs to take a train or a bus for 13 or 14 hours from Jakarta. 😔🙏🙏

You should add water to the noodles because it tastes like chicken curry, but if it says "mie goreng", you don't need to add water.
It's better to get used to reading the instructions on the back of the packaging, so that you get the real taste.

Finally. Welcome to Indonesia. The first food you eat called soto. You should eat that together (the soto, the rice, and the additional). And the noodle for sahoor, you should add the water, its not fried noodle, it must be very salty without the broth guys, anytime use the water to make the broth then just add the spice. Just to explain, majority of Muslims in this region belongs to the School of Shafii, hence the raising of 3 hands in prayer. Whereas in China, the dominant school of thought belongs to the Hanafi. Hence, Hanafi school of thought do not practise similar raising of hands. Hope that's explains.

Welcome to Indonesia. The first Indonesian dish that you had was called soto ayam Lamongan. It's an Indonesian traditional chicken soup from a city called Lamongan in East Java. Soto Lamongan is served with koya which is made from crushed prawn crackers and garlic. Koya is the crumbles that you got at the food stall. You should add it to the soup and squeeze the lemon into the soup. The noodle that you had in China was the fried noodle. But the one that you had in the AirBnB was a soupy noodle. You should not drain the water from the noodle.

The place is quite far from Jakarta, around Jakarta there are many interesting places such as the Old City area(kawasan kota tua), Mini Park(taman mini indonesia indah), Thousand Islands (kepulauan seribu),ragunan zoo(kebun binatang ragunan) , the Bogor Botanical Gardens(kebun raya bogor) or safari fark(taman safari).but they may have returned to their country.

The noodles you ate are boiled noodles, not supposed to be "fried noodles" adding water will make it taste better because the taste of the spice is to "thick"

Be careful when buying food. Not all halal although the seller may be wearing hijab does not mean she is muslim. Ask around or look out for halal certification.
Non halal foods isn't easily to be found in Indonesia unlike in Malaysia where pork being sold openly all over the streets, you can only find non halal foods around chinese neighborhoods in Indonesia

@@berandatki2022 in Bali they literally sell rendang babi, and a lot of Malaysians got misled cause they see the server wearing a hijab working in the restaurant @ at the stall.
In Malaysia the kedai cina if it's not stated it's halal Chinese food, we don't go cause we know for sure they sell babi. Even if they don't sell babi, we are skeptical of their halal-ness, so we don't go.
Lard is from pork too becarefull when u eats there, make sure find halal food btother

Nooo you eat the noodle wrong, it's a soup noodle you need to add the hot water in the plate/bowl after boiling it and eat it together. And the lime you see earlier is for the chicken soup 😂 not for the fried rice
1. Makanan pertama namanya SOTO, cara makan soto seharusnya dicampur antara nasi dan sotonya, dan jeruk nipis diperas di sotonya, bukan dinasinya.
2. Makanan kedua Mie Instant, makanan ini sangat populer di indonesia. Dan itu Mie Rebus, bukan Mie Goreng, kalau Mie rebus itu harus ada Kuahnya, jika tanpa kuah rasanya pasti asin.
