I'm strongly considering top surgery because my chest makes me hella dysphoric but so does binding (most days), and I did not expect to laugh this much. Like, dude. A lot of other videos I've watched on this subject made it all sound so grim and bad and shit, but I laughed out loud like 3 times during this video. Talk to trans friends about their experience, and remember everyone's experience is different. This is YOUR journey, and only you know what you are. Also remember theres more than male and female. You could always be nonbinary or genderfluid c: I'm nonbinary and started slowly coming out about a year ago (I'm also nearly 14). I just had top surgery 3 days ago. I had the keyhole surgery done! For 3 days post op I have no pain on my chest anymore. The only soreness I feel is from this compression garment you have to wear. I’m allowed to shower and all that so it’s been pretty nice! Super happy with my results too. I may need a revision in the future but so far I think everything looks great. It’s honestly really flat as well disregarding any swelling thats still there, I’m very impressed! This was a good video thank you for sharing, I’ve always been confused on the difference between peri and keyhole

Wow, I was really surprised you provided accurate information. I can't tell you how many trans guys, even post op, dont know the differences! Let alone what actually happened during their own surgery. They dont really know the specifics, or what procedures the surgeon actually did. For example, one guy said he got lipo done as well, I asked where exactly at, he said he didnt know... thats just what they told him, DI with lipo. And A LOT of guys think keyhole and peri are exactly the same. Or barely interchangeable, when they are VERY different. Even transbucket has them listed together, which doesnt help when you are looking for peri specifically. Theres also many other types of top surgeries, and an extended peri technique. Buttonhole, keeps the pedicle, so no need for grafts, but also gives you DI scars avail for bigger guys with sensation in mind. Ive called many guys out for spreading the wrong information, one even said well thats what the surgeon told them... sorry to burst your bubble, but if thats the case, the surgeon is misinformed. How can you get a surgery without doing ANY research or asking the surgeon/facility ANY questions beforehand, and/or solely relying on information from the surgeon and not doing your own research on the side??? Its your body they are cutting open. This is something to be taken more seriously than just 'go ahead do whatever you want, im completely in your hands with 100% trust' to most who just see you as another dollar sign. But remember you are the boss, you are paying them for a service to provide to you, they need you to get paid. Ask as many questions as you want, get second and third opinions, speak up for yourself and be well informed. They should want to do what they can to build your trust because you get to choose(for the most part), and you could always say no to them and move on to another surgeon. Thanks for this. I hope many who get surgery watch it and become more informed. Then I can finally stop seeing other trans guys ask why someone doesnt have scars.

Wow, I was really surprised you provided accurate information. I can't tell you how many trans guys, even post op, dont know the differences! Let alone what actually happened during their own surgery. They dont really know the specifics, or what procedures the surgeon actually did. For example, one guy said he got lipo done as well, I asked where exactly at, he said he didnt know... thats just what they told him, DI with lipo.
And A LOT of guys think keyhole and peri are exactly the same. Or barely interchangeable, when they are VERY different. Even transbucket has them listed together, which doesnt help when you are looking for peri specifically. Theres also many other types of top surgeries, and an extended peri technique. Buttonhole, keeps the pedicle, so no need for grafts, but also gives you DI scars avail for bigger guys with sensation in mind.
Ive called many guys out for spreading the wrong information, one even said well thats what the surgeon told them... sorry to burst your bubble, but if thats the case, the surgeon is misinformed. How can you get a surgery without doing ANY research or asking the surgeon/facility ANY questions beforehand, and/or solely relying on information from the surgeon and not doing your own research on the side??? Its your body they are cutting open. This is something to be taken more seriously than just 'go ahead do whatever you want, im completely in your hands with 100% trust' to most who just see you as another dollar sign. But remember you are the boss, you are paying them for a service to provide to you, they need you to get paid. Ask as many questions as you want, get second and third opinions, speak up for yourself and be well informed. They should want to do what they can to build your trust because you get to choose(for the most part), and you could always say no to them and move on to another surgeon.

look at the bright side! You actually have the opportunity to get top surgery, the only thing holding you back is time. 3 years will go by before you know it, trust me. If I was told in 3 years I would be getting top surgery, I'd be so happy lmao. But thanks to my country having barely any trans support, I'm going to have to wait until I have the funds to fly out of the country to get surgery. I'm nearly 18 so that's probably gonna be a while
