I went through the same. I had a moment last year when I was very low as I tried to work it all out. It's hard to understand when you fit one or other binary but if you're out of that it's confusing. I know who I am internally but expressing that to others was hard for a long time and I'm still not fully out. Take your time to work it out and be yourself with yourself first and foremost. The times I had it easiest was when I was just by myself and didn't have to play up any one thing for other people. :) Stay strong. Working this out is possible.

I hate feeling like an attention seeker but I’m at a point where when I’m keeping this to myself it ends destructive and I don’t want that. @@julius6674 Self destructing is not great. It's s tricky thing. My housemates were great for me and I hope you can find someone it's safe to work through it with. If not you've got a community here and there's loads about that might be able to help. It's not attention seeking it's a call for help. Helping where we can is important. These things come up later for some than others. I'm considering whether I might want surgery at some point but I'm scared of it so I've got things to work through still.

My reveal was kind of unusual. I had keyhole almost exactly a year ago and I got to see my results virtually right away. Either the day of surgery or the day after I got to unwrap my chest at home and see it for the first time in my bathroom mirror (don’t do this unless your surgeon specifically tells you that it’s okay-everyone is different). It was one of the best and most surreal moments of my life. Nearly a year later and I’m extremely happy with the results. Like Noah said, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made and I’d happily do it all again. I’ll probably be getting a small revision at some point, but that’s pretty common for keyhole and it would just be to take a little bit of residual tissue from my right side. I wish I could have had peri instead of keyhole, but my surgeon didn’t offer peri and I can always have the excess skin removed at another time. I’m just blabbing about the details of my surgery now lol but yeah it’s so fun to see other people’s reactions to seeing their chests for the first time :,) Reminds me of when I was pre-op and would watch videos like this when I was feeling particularly dysphoric. If you’re in that situation right now, just hang in there. It is so worth it.
