Of her entire backlog of tracks I personally wouldn't had this on my top list for her, but it was a massive hit in the states.
Kylie was 19 there. The original is from 1987. Kylie makes everything 🎉🎉🎉 she's pure joy
Confide in Me is EPIC!
She’s still got a likability, she’s the pop princess 👸
"The 80s was the peak of music video entertainment." Truer words...
This is actually her highest peaking song in the US (#3), which is why I put it on the list. I thought you might've heard her version before. :)
My Top 5 would've looked like this:
#1 - Can't Get You Out Of My Head
#2 - Padam Padam
#3 - Slow
#4 - Better The Devil You Know
#5 - I Should Be So Lucky
What will be the #3-#1 on your list?
@@naturecheck That's a great list! We have the same #1 and #2. I have Love At First Sight at #3. My thought was to have Kylie's biggest US hits + her most recent UK hit.

@@heekamalokilo7194 Thank you so much for this Kylie week! I've been dying for those guys to react to Kylie ❤️ Let's fight for Kylie Week #2 😆
I remember this album.
This was the original Australian footage (July 1987) with the UK mix ('88) synced over it, so Kylie was 19 when this video was shot ✌️
Oh bless her heart...she must have gotten a dance coach after the first album
LOL exactly! She is dancing like Pinocchio here..
Kylie’s version of The Locomotion is the highest selling single of 80’s in Australia BUT it’s a different version to this. They re-recorded it after Lucky became a hit. So the version in Australia is different production.
I was wondering what in gods hell this was 😂
Wasn't the 1st one in '87? I like the 1st one better.
@@SomeGuy-mg5jy Yeah first one was 1987. I prefer the first one also. But I’m from Australia and that is the version we know better. It was number one on the charts for 7 weeks.
When you have such a looooong career such as hers, with sooo many bangers, I guess it’s hard to choose. I personally wouldn’t have picked this, but it’s the one that kickstarted her career, so it’s an essential.
Please watch “Confide In Me” after watching I Should Be So Lucky & The Locomotion. “Confide In Me” is such a contrast creatively to what you’ve seen of Kylie so far & it’s an incredible standout track in her music catalogue! 😎
My Favourite Kylie Video/Song is
IN MY ARMS !!!
Kylie Minogue....... SLOW and Padam Padam!!!!!!!
Very surprised this was in a top 5 - she's done some great tracks but I would not personally consider this to be in her top 30 let alone top 5 😀
It's also not my favourite, but it's her highest peaking song is the States, which is why I thought to include it in Week 1.
@@heekamalokilo7194 Fair enough and I know a lot of people love the song, it's just not one I particularly like but I understand why it's been chosen
@@heekamalokilo7194 U did good. I love your list even though it def wouldn't be my list cos Chocolate would have to be on it. I hope u ignore the people hating on your list ppl do that almost every week here, but none of the complainers request anything.. funny huh?
@@Sultans-World Thanks, man! I appreciate it. 🙂
@@heekamalokilo7194 I never saw u in the live steams do u ever show up?
We need top 5 from each decade, 80's, 90's, 00's, 10's, 20's.
Rename this week - Kylie the early years. 😊
It's not just the early years
Guys, she had actually just turned 19 when this single was first released in Australia (July 13, 1987). She was 19 when she filmed her first three videos, of which I Should Be So Lucky was one (also released in 1987, not 1988 as mentioned in your reaction).
I highly recommend watching the Top of The Pops 1988 performance of this. It's excellent. And as a side salad I recommend "Hand On Your Heart" & "Better the Devil You Know" they are fabulous tunes, 1989 & 1990 respectively. To be honest there are so many to choose from.
This was actually her very first single. She recorded the Locomotion first but just for Australia. It was a hit there, but after I should be so lucky became huge, Stock/Aitken/Waterman re-recorded the Locomotion and it got released worldwide. Number 3 in the US?
This video was filmed for the Australian release in 1987. So she was only about 18/19 in this video. Also, the Australian version was even more 80's, a much better version. It's on RUclips
Now, what about Kylie's little sister Dannii? TOP 5?
Confide in me? All the lovers? WILD ROSES? Chocolate? Get outta my
Way? So many
Got this on 7" vinyl. The 1960s sound and cover versions were big in the late 80s.
This is a bit of an odd one to feature (its US chart status not withstanding). There are sooo many songs to choose from in her repertoire, but if I were to showcase five Kylie songs, they would be: 'I Should Be So Lucky', 'Confide In Me', 'Love At First Sight', 'Slow', and 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head'... they're not necessarily all my absolute favourites, but they show a great evolution of styles up to a point ('All The Lovers' is hard not to include though).
You realise you probaby HAVE heard Kylie' version? It was ubiquitous, even in the States, in the late 80s. Also used in the soundtrack of a Hollywood film.
Stylewise, the video reminds me of Whitney Houston, I want to dance with somebody
We need a Kylie Minogue, week 2:
#5 - Never Too Late (1989) - ruclips.net/video/jWDNMmzvNB4/видео.htmlsi=flGrPOv3UqyJBckv
#4 - Better the Devil You Know (1990) - ruclips.net/video/tto_nmsND_o/видео.htmlsi=LOqYbhuOyAZNMWAD
#3 - Confide In Me (1994) - ruclips.net/video/PxZkjq9z5wg/видео.htmlsi=ooJ_tbMNygN_7HfN
#2 - Spinning Around (2000) - ruclips.net/video/t1DWBKk5xHQ/видео.htmlsi=_1W81uibzoSEuhJE
#1 - Slow (2003) - ruclips.net/video/Omrp4QR_Rpo/видео.htmlsi=-lhHhnybMbcIIkHb
When she performs this now, she adds a bit off Donna Summer Hot Stuff
Please react to in your eyes by Kylie it's one of her best songs ever
If you want to hear a classic Aussie accent from the early 80s, check out ‘Your Car’ by The Dugites. There’s a mid-song talking part that is the epitome of an 80s Aussie accent. Then listen to any Chris Hemsworth or Margot Robbie interview to hear the difference.
Or listen to Kylie herself in the mid-80s in Neighbours and then listen to her now in a recent interview. Kylie's accent though has evolved largely as a result of living over half her life in London.
You must do a TOP 5 of the iconic British Singer S A M A N T H A. F O X ❤
5 - Nothing,s gonna stop me now
4 - I wanna have some fun
3- Naughty Girls
2 - Do ya Do Ya
1 - Touch Me ( I want your body)
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
😎👍
LOVE Kylie Minogue! But boys, Stacey Q's Two of Hearts is the superior jam! It came out a few years earlier and has the carnal/campy/sex appeal this song desperately lacks. Check it out! ;)
I love how non-committal she is to her facial expressions in the the two videos so far
Don’t think I would’ve picked 2 eighties songs at the expense of some of her other amazing work, but Hey Ho 🤷🏼♂️
🚂
We used " Like " alot in the 80s
There's only 1 Kylie song that I need to hear - - So I'll be back when they do "Love At First Sight" - - Which is great either Live or the official video.
who picked this top 5? only 5 songs to showcase Kylie and we get the first 2 singles lol
Of ALL the Kylie songs to pick who TF chose The Loco-Motion! Sacrilege! Some of her best work is going to be missed because of this.
Was this version in a movie
I think so cos I have defenitely heard it before.
Who choose these songs? These are not Kylies best...LOL
mind your business
@@aIiahspirituaIity very spiritual dear, LOL
@@santacruz7455 Imagine how the person that chose these songs feels about your hateful comment...
@@aIiahspirituaIity hateful? Snowflakes keep falling on their head....
I like her 80s music but I didn't like her videos until 2000.
Some of her 90s videos are gems, tho. Once she started getting more control of her visuals and music, that’s when things really got interesting!
This is very much bottom tier Kylie
I’m sorry but who suggested this? I mean it’s a classic but if ur going to cut a back catalogue like hers into 5 songs, this is not one of them!
Lame in every sense of the word.
