I'm intrigued by the fact, in all the generations of Jews in this country, none of these fast food chains has ever had Kosher meat and chicken. But now, with the much more recent influx of Arabic cultures they are implementing Halal. To get Kosher meat you still have to go to a Kosher butcher. But to get Halal meat you can eat just about anywhere and in any fast food place. Interesting.

LOL There is a pub in Kamloops, BC called The Noble Pig, menu is almost exclusively dedicated to pork!! It is a great place to eat if you're ever in the area.

What is common with Halah food products is the Mafia like conditions that go hand in hand. Businesses are aproached by a Muslim salesman with an offer that the businesses can't refuse or if they do they could be vulnerable to theft and vandalism. This approach is not just for the fast food industry. The Halah Mafia should concern Canadians far more than the meat itself.
Several restaurants in Calgary were shut down because halal meat was unfit for consumption..they all got their halal meat from the same supplier .

Unsurprising but very disappointing that there was no discussion about Trudeau committing to another $5B of aid to Ukraine at the NATO meeting in Washington. This total package of $10B is more than half of the $19.4B that the federal government expects to raise in tax revenues because of its changes to the capital gains tax, which True North has given a lot of attention to. This episode there was an excruciating discussion of the climate change ambassador’s travel expenses, although this is a trivial issue compared to aid to Ukraine. There really is almost no daylight between the Liberals and the Conservatives on support for the Ukrainian war effort, but the People’s Party of Canada is resolutely opposed to more military aid going to Ukraine. Regardless of who is right, it should be discussed. Whether our climate change ambassador goes to New York by train or by plane isn’t going to cause anyone to die needlessly. By contrast aid to Ukraine is about as life-and-death an issue as one can imagine. True North prides itself on being an alternative to the mainstream media. Unfortunately, it isn't alternative enough, at least not yet.
Half the fast food places in the country are run or staffed by a variety of ethnicities. KFC being halal is ridiculous. I'm not a customer anyway, but this decision doesn't incent me to buy their chicken.

I've heard what makes "halal" different from regular chicken. I have not verified if it's true but if it is halal chicken is disgusting. Plus I'd like to know where the animal activists are?

When it comes to Elizabeth May's interpretation of the NSICOP report vs Jagmeet's it is hard to know who to believe for the various ulterior motives involved. Jagmeet obviously wants to get his pension at any cost so is not above using it the situation to his advantage. He would surely exaggerate the details to use against the Liberals, but also use his knowledge of it to discredit Poilievre for opting not to view it. I also heard him say the quiet part out loud in an interview that we can't have an election without knowing who is involved in this treason. That tells me he is also leveraging this situation to push for a delay in the election, which we all know he would love to do. Is Elizabeth May under-concerned? Maybe. Or, perhaps in this one circumstance, she is being more balanced and, like so many other situations recently, it is being exploited for personal gain by the politicians standing to gain the most. The Libs and the NDP. I could also be totally wrong on that. Hopefully we will actually have access to the truth one day soon.

The political system in this country has been a joke for a long time. I mean, some of the shit that's happened in our political history and you have only to laugh. Guess who pays it, From a ridiculous amount of lawsuits brought because of the policies around covid, charging longtime +active military men with sexual assault , just to have them removed. Not just once, either. Many times, to many officers looking at retirement or advancement. Taking this person and forcing them to peddle a vaccine or be charged with a career ending , false charge. Then using 20 govt funded lawyers to fight back, then big piles of money and a non disclosure agreement.
