If you're too lazy to watch the whole video just use the slow down button on the right corner of the play screen so you can see what he's doing in slow motion when he slaps at the beginning! I'm just watching the whole thing so I can hear the explanation and tips since I'm watching from my phone and it doesn't have the slow down tool.

Went ahead and subscribed since it helps you out. You're helping me out so its only right haha. Switching from a primarily metal bassist to a funk/r&b bassist is proving to be a lot of work especially with working on double thumbing. My thumb is raw and my nail is scratched to bits haha

After you hit the A with your thumb, it looks like your resting it on the D, is this true? and or good method?

Feel and personality are vital of course, but to my ears the fastest, and attractive ‘decorative’ slap component which is taught here, is in fact 16note triplets, not 32nd notes.
