Impulse with improvements | Eli Wu's Inertia AEB

  • A few months ago, Eli visited OOD HQ in preparation for the launch of Momentum. While in town, he brought along the latest iteration of his electric springer design: Inertia.
    At a little over half the weight and size of his previous AEB, Inertia uses much the same mechanism and smart features in a much more compact and manageable form factor, allowing Eli and Team Smog to take home the silver at the Maryland Foam Tournament.

      We just need more community designed blasters and/or companies like DZ to make Pro AEBs … but they are difficult to design, Silly has been working on them for a long while.

    • @Queldonus

      Little chance, due to the added complexity and cost… but we certainly need them to have a presence.

      Things are moving in that direction. Lately with blasters like the LN01 high spec and Sweetheart storm 2.0, we're starting to see AEB platforms emerge that are dependable on a consumer level. Still pricy, but that may change down the road.

    • @Castdeath
      @Castdeath 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@daniellacasse7800 The problem with is that they aren’t distributed in the traditional way springers are in the community. A new springer (say the Cynthia) would be released with hardware parts easily purchasable and printable files, making it easy to make. A lot of these AEBs however are niche manufactured blasters typically sold in few regions and difficult to obtain due to importation and customs shenanigans.

He was just showing it off because it was cool.

If he made a Kickstarter to get these things delivered still serviceable but injection molded and with all the typical mass production changes necessary, I'd put up 250 maybe 350 for a nice rugged thing like this. Especially if it was still moddable and took chunky normal xt60 batteries so it could last all day and another.
    This thing is so awesome and all the various fire modes and operational modes it can have are amazing. From realistic to hyper utility this thing is literally the starting blue print for "best" foam finger period.
    I totally believe this Kickstarter would be viable as long as there was no feature creep, and it looks pretty feature complete.
