We feed directly in our rack (we have a couple quarantine racks) when we have animals in quarantine that are being treated with provent-a-mite. If you are feeding frozen/thawed just make sure the rat is dry before feeding if you thaw in warm water.

Unfortunately we are not familiar with mite treatment on bearded dragons. The best advice we can give is contact the breeder you bought your bearded dragon from. They would probably be the most knowledge on how to treat them.
I know you said this is for a rack system, but why couldn't this work in a PVC enclosure spray the inside of the enclosure and paper towels and wait the 24 hrs?

Unfortunately we do not have experience with mite treatment on bearded dragons. We dont want to speak to something we are not knowledgeable on and give you bad advice. As far as mites spreading, yes they can spread to other enclosures. They are fast movers and can travel a surprisingly long distance in a short time.

Yes this will still work. You can spray the paper and the the tub at the same time but you need to spray the paper outside of the tub. Then wait 24 hours and put the paper in your tub and your animal in the tub.
You could spray all of these things but keep in mind that the spray in the air is what is most harmful to your animals. So you would need to do this with no animals present and in a well ventilated area. Then everything would need ample time to dry and air out before animals could be added back. It's not something we would recommend in a reptile room as it is more risk then we would be willing to take. You can always treat the tubs of all your animals if you find mites on one animal. That would effectively prevent the spread

I ended up waiting the 24 hours as recomended and im happy i did i still cleaned the quarantine room with Ivermectin spray and gave her a little soak, added some dawn soap. I also accidently sprayed some extra paper towels and its perfect because now when she or any of my other 3 goes to the bathroom i just pull one out and replace the dirty one with a clean one. I also put a little paper plate under my baby while she eats for the bigger ones i just flip one of their hides over and feed them in those just to try and limit the exposure ad much as i can. I am so greatful i saw this video i have yet to see this technique anywhere else and i have searched and continue to, this definatly was a huge huge help and took alot of added worry away. Still only have 1 whos infected my other 2 remain clean and my 1 who is is doing already alot better. Using mineral oil to help try and relieve her by releasing some of the mites esp on her eyes, anyways i wanted to thank you guys again and again and hopefully anything i mentioned can help someone out there dealing with or preventing snake mites.

We wouldn't recommend it. You do not want your animal to drink water with Prevent-a-mite in it. Also, we dont know how effective the spray is once the paper is wet.
@@ExquisiteExotics he's in a 6ft cage and 3 other 6ft cages is stacked on top. So I'll have to remove all 60 snakes just to spray that one cage than right
We have used this method on hatchlings we have bought from other people with no issue. Though we have never tried this with freshly hatched hatchlings.

We keep extra paper ready that has already been sprayed. We do replace the paper every time it has been soiled. If the tub itself needs cleaned then we will use a new pre sprayed tub as well.
@@ExquisiteExotics thank you. It was b4 I found your video. Your video was extremely helpful. The only thing I would add is if you have an infestation it might take more than 3 treatments. You should continue treating every 2 weeks until you see no more mites then do one last treatment to be safe.

How do you treat the dirt and all the new stuff going into a pet set up decorations dirt anything else
We would not use substrate or decorations when treating for mites. Only paper substrate and possibly a plastic hide if needed

We use humidifiers to keep the entire room at the correct humidity

We recommend waiting 24 hours after spraying. There is always a risk but this method has worked for us.

Once the tub and paper (i use paper towels) are dry, can I spritz with water for humidity?
We wouldn't recommend it. You do not want your animal to drink water with Prevent-a-mite in it. Also, we dont know how effective the spray is once the paper is wet.

Are you trying to follow our 24 hour method? If so then yes, you will need to remove that cage, spray it and wait 24 hours to put the snake back in.
What paper do you use?
We use newsprint sheets from Uline.
Is this safe for hatchlings?

This may sound obvious but DO NOT spray directly on animals. We sadly made that mistake and lost both treated snakes within an hr.
