HELL YEAH! I gotta tell ya... I'm so glad our little band from San Diego is being liked so much! One day, we're gonna git our ass on over there and make a little noise! From all The Sickstring Outlaws... thanks Del!
Thanks so much Doc, your music is awesome, and as you can see, everyone loves a little rock country..! keep in touch buddy.. really appreciate your very kind support.. Del.
I wanna thank Delboy's Garage for playing our music on his awesome show. Hope to come play over in your neck of the woods someday soon. You rock Delboy !!!!
I remember reading a comment on one of your videos where someone said "I can't believe you don't have a million subscribers" and I whole heartedly agree. Love your taste in music as well.
Thanks so much Paul, you're very kind mate.. we see a steady increase in subs every day.. but it'll take decades to get to a million if the rate stays the same, maybe things will pick up and we'll get there some day... just grateful for what we have at this point.. 55k is a heck of a lot of people..lol
Really enjoying your broadcasts.......even at 48, I'm still learning......keep it up, buddy! (Couldn't help smile when I saw the 'Sickstring Outlaws’, being an Outlaw meself!).....👊🏾👊🏾
Great video Del mate. Every time I see the tank & belly pan together I'm liking the flow of the two of them more & more. Can't wait to see where you're going with the tail piece as well. The Black & White segments are a cool touch. Cheers for your example & inspiration buddy. Ride safe, Al.
Love the way that your modification of the bracket was so matter of fact. I think I'd have had a whole video series on it! Great job and I'm loving it.
love the filming, great style! love the bike too, an inspiration to get the tools out and think, what can I do. Thanks Del and Penny, I love watching your videos.
I've been watching you for a few weeks now after your fibreglassing of the tank episode and I'm thoroughly enjoy them mate, i wanted to have a crack at making a DAKAR style fairing for my bike and watching this series really spurs me on to do it. Love everything you're doing mate, keep it up.
Thanks for the kind words! Be sure and check out our website (www.sickstringoutlaws.com) & facebook page! I gotta keep thanking Del for adding us to the arsenal of songs he plays.
Looking fantastic I really like the belly pan, and when you said about boxing in the rad mount ends that was exactly what was running through my mind! Excellent work
Thanks buddy.. yeah, i have the next two videos probably just thrashing on that bracket....and boxing it in is just obvious right..! Thanks for your encouragement.. Del.
I've watched all your videos/projects but this bike has taken it to the next level Del! Very impressed. The picture of the bike in the thumb nail for vid #31 looks F@king SWEET!
Thank buddy, just a glimpse of the future shape maybe.. it will change a lot by the time the paint guy comes over.. but it starting to look like a fighter now..!
ive really enjoyed this build Del, ive been living in Thailand for the last 18 years and now have a yerning to get my hands dirty and build somthing myself...THANK YOU for the insperation!!!
Hi David, how great to hear from you, glad we have been able to inspire you, and good luck with your future projects, always feel free to drop us a line if we can ever help with anything, all the best, D&P!
When you started with the Harley Davidson tank I thought you had lost the plot Del but wow looking awesome now like a peace of art mate. Please when you get to the back end no big humps for the battery like on the bandit. But just want to say thank you for your amazing chanel. Everything I have done to my bandit is from watching you I mean everything! Please keep up the good work and again thank you.
You know I was just thinking it amazes me how much time you and Penny commit to this. You have your normal life stuff and then the YT life stuff man you two must be going full speed most of the time. Hats off to ya...Hey YT folks maybe a Hats off to them is due here.
Thanks LDV... you forgot organising and preparing a weekend party and rideout for 120 bikes this weekend.... you'd be surprised what you can fit in when you dont watch TV or have kids...lol
I'm playing around with the idea of flushing the belly pan seamlessly into a rad guard in my imaginary version of your build... :P It is shaping up beautifully, Del. I love the use of "something" in place of "something else" - that's the way I tend to think. :)
Thanks mate, Appreciate your regard and kind thoughts, im just rolling along with it and making it look the best it can.. there are always a million ways to do a design, and im sure it will hang together right at the end.. great fun journey so far..!
Man, it's really starting to come together! Final product will be awesome! I wasn't sold on the tank molding/design at first, but i think it works really well now that shell is starting to take shape
Thanks buddy... it wont look conventional when its finished, and thats the aim, i want a bike with a very new and edge look.. but still very much a traditional fighter.. !
Hi Del, here is an idea regarding the front part of the belly pan - just cut out that part next to radiator, turn it 180 degrees and weld it back! You won't have to bend it three ways and you'll get a neat form which will actually repeat the curv of the radiator it self. You're welcome, mate :)
It wont follow the curve of the radiator, its way more acute.....It'll hit the pipes if its any wider than 4"... as the curve increases with width....and a three and a half inch 'dent inwards' in the middle will not only trash the front line...it'll look weird... already measured it up buddy..!b i have an idea..!! :-)
Thanks buddy... Sickstring Outlaws, what a cool band aye... check out thier facebook page, they have lots of other cool tracks.. Thanks for your support buddy.. much appreciated. Del.
Thanks buddy... Sickstring Outlaws, what a cool band aye... check out thier facebook page, they have lots of other cool tracks.. Thanks for your support buddy.. much appreciated. Del.
(P) Looking neat! Is it possible to use the captive nut tab that u cut off the rad mount & turn it downwards & weld on then use a button head Allen bolt for the 2 front mounts?
Pretty much exactly that plan..but cant use the old scrap tabs as the captive nuts in them are tiny 4mm threads for just holding the old plastic side panel in place.. it needs a beefier fixing.. so ill do more of less what you said.. but ill make some new, fat beefy mounts with bigger captive nuts so i can fit it with bigger bolts... and yeah, just like the front nose cone.! Cheers buddy.. see you soon.. Del.
Del, for that space between the belly pan and the radiatior, I imagine a metal mesh with some curvature could do the trick (it also keeps the "airy" feel of the radiator and blends it into the pan). Then, you could use it somewhere else to make it work as a whole (for example as a heel guard, idiot lights faceplate, or over the hole in the pan you're going to make for the pipe). Project is coming up great, ride safe.
Can't wait to see what you've got planned for the tail...You should modify a draining colander to fit in that gap at the radiator, the holes will help cool it down too...
Thanks buddy.. like i said in the video.. the pipes dont need any cooling, and its more for looksm just to finish that top line which looks a bit sudden... i have an idea, just got to let it brew for a bit to see if its a good one, or a dud..
G'day Del, been away in the sun for a couple of weeks & the fighter build is coming along nicely. Great job with the tank/cowling 👍 Saw no nice bikes over in Fuertaventura only horrible little scooters. I tell a lie I saw a lovely K1 Honda 750. All the best 😎
I'm really liking the black gold and bare metal look of it at the minute. But I think it will be even cooler when your mate gets hold of it to paint it bud !
The wheels wont stay gold Matt, its a bit garish.. as are the silly gold screws all over it... but the final paint of the frame engine and wheels will be subtle to allow the custom paint to show up best.. !
I know mate I've just got this strange fetish for bare metal and copper and brass at the moment the industrial look haha. That moonshine track is awesome by the way.
Another excellent video! You might want to consider welding a metal grid ,if i say it correct, in the gap between the radiator an the fender. When its painted it might look nice and it will help the cooling of the pipes :)
Thanks buddy.. we have a great weekend meet and rideout coming this weekend, and we're loading up TWO Q&A videos while we're away..!! time to put the tools down and play.
Looking great as always , can't wait to see the seat/tail section? I doubt very much you are going to put the standard seat on it - whatever you do I know it will be crazy, original and brilliant!
Hi Jonathan.. thank you for your very kind endorsement.. and i sold the entire tail section, including the seats, precisely so i cannot use it.. its just too easy.. and easy is boring right.?
Coming along nicely Del. In stead of the hole for the pipe could you work in a couple symmetrical say tear drop shaped vents? It's probably a daft idea but that is what you get when amateurs start making suggestions! Good luck with the big ride this weekend and raise a pint for me. Keep a close eye on that Michigan hooligan lol
Hey Scott... We made the Q&A video.. and you need to put your brew down when your question comes up.. The big guy did his best...but don't think Guy Richie will be casting him in Lock Stock 2... I have a plan for the pipe hole.. i may cover it with a kind 'power bulge' deal, the kind you see on super car hoods... but as with all this.. ill make it up as i get there.. what ever looks right.! take care buddy.
Can't wait to see what you come up with. Looking forward to the Q and A. You can take the boy out of the midwest but you can't take the midwest out of the boy lol
I think mesh might be the best way to close the gap between the belly pan and the radiator. You still want some airflow to stop the pipes getting wayyyy too hot, so a tight black metal mesh might be the way to go. Mesh should also flex how you like, which should let you keep a nice organic curve.
Yep, its certainly an option mate... once i get it mounted strongly on all four corners, i can go back to making it look cool.. It will get some vent for sure, maybe mesh, maybe louvers, maybe just holes... ill get there once it mounted.
Nice to see it coming on a lot further, only video's I look forward to these days. Think I have an idea what you're gonna do for the tail section, as I thought the same myself as i was watching this one. Won't spoil anyone's enjoyment by saying though. Keep them coming buddy, RSM8
Fair enough bud, I was thinking use another bike tank for the seat unit/cowl, dunno if there's one that would work but with a bit of (your)expert fettling I'm sure something could work!
love watching you work on this Del. The great original ideas is why I used to like OCC. Is there any chance you can get a hairy bald man to come in to shout at you every now and again!!!
Another very enjoyable video bud, belly pan looks superb on the bike, good look with the mountings, maybe you cold use the bits you cut of the bracket, might save you a job, roll on next video, regards Stu 👍👍🔧🔧
Hi Stu, they are a bit small, they have 4mm captive nuts, and a bit winpy for the weight of this belly pan.. to ill make some beefier and use bigger nuts so i can mount it with 8mm bolts.. and reinforce the sheet metal on the belly pan at the same time to it doesn crack in the future.. Getting there a bit at a time aye. take care mate. Del.
looks brilliant Del, i was thinking about that gap in front of the rad, what about welding some sheet metal from where your belly pan stop up in front of the radiator, following the curve of the belly pan, with holes cut in the metal to let the rad breath. maybe use some mesh over the holes? like on the triumph exhaust? not sure if it is feasible, youre the man to know! also i have had some complications with my back, not gonna be able to rid for a bit, they think that the vertibrae may have curved slightly, which they are concerned about. ill keep you informed take care ryan
Hi Ryan, that is exactly the kind of direction im thinking of for the front edge..the curve would lend itself well to forming a 'bib' to not only finish the front elegantly, but also to protect the central strip of the radiator that always gets sand blasted.... in fact, if its not too wide, its convex curve would mean that rather than stop air flow getting to the rad, it would direct any air sideways onto the rad each side.....and possibly even produce better air cooling than if it had mesh in it... as mesh would defuse the air flow and slow it down..!!? and i like that kind of thinking.. if i did that, the comments box would light up with people telling me it'll overheat.... lol Sorry to hear about your back... never nice is back pain.. i hope gets sorted out without too much grief buddy.. keep us posted. god speed mate.. Del.
You could keep the petrol filler hole in the belly pan and make a small scoop to force some air onto the pipes. As its under the bike you wouldnt really notice it. Downside you loose a little bit of ground clearance
Hi Alex, you dont just lose ground clearance with that... if you had a 'scoop' facing forward...it catch like a hook and rip the belly pan off... bit dangerous really..the underside is better smooth so it slides if it does touch..!
Make sure you make a hole for the oil drain bolt, so you don't have to take the belly off. Maybe clear a hole for the cooling liquid too, depending on where it is. Maybe think about the front sprocket and see if you can get to it without taking the belly off. Also you'd be surprised about how little space you actually have for the gear shifter, It may be to your advantage to bring the bike down, have a seat and see if you clear or not.
It clear buddy... trust me, i have size nine feet, ride with my toes on the pegs, and only hook under to shift... there is almost 4 inches clear in front of the shifter... exactly the same as the factory fairing.... and i have sat in it too... The belly pan will be held on with 4 bolts... so it will take a minute to drop it off for any maintenance.. easy. !
Love all the videos mate been watching for years and only just noticed i wasn't subscribed, Keep up the amazing work, If i sent your a quid for every tenner you have saved me you would be a rich man. Ride safe
Thanks buddy... there are many people who say just the same as you.. its all about saving a few bob... and thats why we opened the Patreon account so now we have the viewer funding we can make videos like this and get better as we go.. ! thanks mate,, appreciate the sub, you'll get notifications now..! Del.
Good shout using the rad bracket, I think the edges of the radiator stick out a bit too much at the front but I would presume the only way to get out of that is to fit a different rad... I'm now also wondering what make and model fuel tank you will add to the rear! Keep it up, another great video!
A few things on top of my mind. 1. For the bit between the radiator and the bellypan, would it be any useful to do some kind of an air intake that would feed fresh air towards the inside of the pan, to cool down the exhaust manifold? 2. For the tail piece, another fuel tank, her name would then be obsiously "supertanker" Keep up the great work.
del i regard you as a master at what you do and respect you alot but please oh please unplug your grinder when changeing the blade id hate for you to get hurt then we would have no videos for a long time
When your in the grove, sometimes you just forget.... In my opinion, if he is going to be turning it back on within literally ten to fifteen seconds, I don't see a need to unplug it, unless he's leaning over it in an unsafe manner. When your a gear head things happen. Besides you could get just as hurt if not more riding his motorcycles. We can't ask him to wear a full body armor suit just to be 1000% every second. Live life on the edge, leave your grinder plugged in every so often.. Rock on! 🎤 lol jk stay safe as much as you can help it. Best we humans can do. 🍀
Why does everyone think that exhaust pipes need cooling..? they can glow bright red with no ill effects..!!!! and why ruin the wonderful organic curve of that front by wedging some meshg in its place..!!!! no mate.. i have a plan ,and it'll be in keeping wiht the unique theme of the build.. thanks for your input.. Del.
Let me guess for the tail is going to be a tiny teardrop tank cut in half and put on the side of the subframe with a fair bit of fab to get it looking lovely :D
I´ll suggest you close the gap with sheet metal, slightly rising against the radiator, ending with the same curve as the radiator. I´d put, lets say 3 smal air scoops in it to provide air intake and cooling for the pipes.
We need to decide on the name for the bike, Del! I named my XJR the other day, Poppy! Because she pops on deceleration when I let go of the throttle. (Exhaust is leaking so too much air.. blahblah)
you could cut out that front section and turn it around so that it scoops. Then the top line of the bottom bikini fairing would match up to the curve of the bottom of the rad and the side profile (should) match the curve of the front tire .... lot of messing about though and it already looks epic!
The curve of the front is a but too tight for that...it only gives me a 4" wide cut otherwise it'll be too deep and hit the pipes.. i have a plan.. and nothing is too much work, thats what a project is about aye..lol
Thinking about the gap at the front of belly pan in front of the radiator. I'm wondering if some vertical fins coming up from the pan giving it a sort of jet plane air intake look might look good. Maybe not, just thinking out loud.
Hey Del, I've been wondering if you have any plans for the wheels? Just out of interest as it's something you've not mentioned! Love the series and the bike looks stunning. Every week it gets better and better. Loads of respect!
Hi David... ill certainly paint the wheels, dont like the gold..and i may even change the back wheel yet.. but that a long way off yet buddy... thanks for your kind support.. Del.
At 5:17 I can see the tank has a natural curve inward. I think it could be a cool look if all or most of the tank was bent inward the same way. Just a thought.
I think I explained wrong. Sry. I meant to say, "flair" the edges inward a tiny tiny bit. But, Putting the steel wire in and welding that seems a much simpler way to get the same effect I was trying to explain. I'm kinda bad at explaining things most of the time. Hope I didn't offend you m8
Oh right, ok i get it.. great minds think alike.. the edge needs visual thickness to make the part look substantial, i did it with the Harley tank at the front (the thing you describe) of bending or rolling the edge inwards.. and please dont think you ever offend buddy, i dont take things that way.. all suggestions are useful, even if they dont work out... take care aye.. Cheers, del.
HELL YEAH! I gotta tell ya... I'm so glad our little band from San Diego is being liked so much! One day, we're gonna git our ass on over there and make a little noise! From all The Sickstring Outlaws... thanks Del!

Ha ha, thanks Dave, so much to do still that its just a small thing.. you know how it is, taking off any fairing leave lots of ugliness to rectify..!
its looking like a beast already! gonna be a stunner!!
Thanks Luke.
Thanks Becky... good to hear from you..
this build is so cool, Del. seriously. I can't wait for every new video. liking the new music too.
Thanks Paul.. just keeping the music changing, we have lots to use now days and it helps for a bit of variety.. glad you're enjoying the build.. Del.

loving this project del. I'm not into streetfighter style as a whole but this bike is turning my opinion on them. fantastic mate!!! great vids!!!
Thanks David.. its easy preaching to the converted, but to turn a skeptic is a triumph... .thanks for watching buddy.
The bike is beginning to look very futuristic & mean, it's going to look great when finished mate.
Thanks Mark.
Great job on the videos, I look forward to every new episode, I'm enjoying the fighter build, cheers Steve
Thanks Steve, much appreciated buddy.
Love the idea with the wire on the edges . Clever .. Have a good one both of you
Cheers Sean... gonna miss you this weekend fellah... you know that right.?

Looking good so far! Thanks for sharing & Keep on Rocking :-D
Nice work on the bracket mate, I must get my eyes sorted though you kept going black and white. Looking forward to seeing you guys on Sunday.
Ha ham Thanks Tony, dont know what you mean, the video is all colour.. better check the glasses buddy.. lol!

Getting there. Looking great. Think you and Penn deserve a drive out somewhere. Lol
Thanks buddy.. we have a great weekend meet and rideout coming this weekend, and we're loading up TWO Q&A videos while we're away..!! time to put the tools down and play.
15:05 The bike looks absolutely savage with just the bare aluminium look.
Thanks buddy.. i think all bikes look cool in bare metal..

Got two Q&A videos for you coming this weekend, then back on the build next week.. Thanks for your kind support.. have a good weekend.. Del.
Another awesome video 👍🏼 Soon have a regular place on tv 😀
Blimey, that'd be one serious dream come true aye.... not sure that the guys at Discovery really want stuff on bikes... its all about cars aye..!
Na who'd wanna be on there, I was thinking maybe itv's Motorbike Show with Henry Cole. Hey we all gotta dream
Oh now yer talkin, i Love that show.. what a cool gig that would be.. maybe we should write to Henry and see if he fancies coming over to do a Q&A..?
Be worth a go 👍🏼
awesome build
My dog usually gives nothing about music. But when it played your intro tune he started whining hahaha
Ha ha, he's obviously a Blues dog..!!
Freaken looks great buddy👍👍
Hi Del, all looking good.Did my first ride to the Ace Café today :)Martin / Wiltshire
Nice one Martin.. how did you enjoy the Ace..?
Good food & great a atmosphere & a New sticker for the wind shield ;-)
Said that right..lol
Yea yea.... ;-) lol
Hi Ian.. just say, its no problem.. many suggestions abound.. and i haven't decided yet anyway..!
Fair enough bud, I was thinking use another bike tank for the seat unit/cowl, dunno if there's one that would work but with a bit of (your)expert fettling I'm sure something could work!
Del - Tanks for another great video.....I'll fetch my coat!!
love watching you work on this Del. The great original ideas is why I used to like OCC. Is there any chance you can get a hairy bald man to come in to shout at you every now and again!!!
Ha ha... ill organise that if you can get Mikey to make the tea..!
Del.
Im loving this series just as much as i did project bandit
Thanks Ryan.
I think a cafe racer style rear seat unit , but with a twist , like the same curves on the tank but reversed
Keep up the cracking work
Hi Kev.. i like yer thinking buddy...
OUTSTANDING
it's looking better and better every day. this is going to be one sexy bike when it's Finnished 😂😂
Thanks Mitch..
luv belly pan episodes but have to say GREAT music from the sick string outlaws hated the other music you have been playing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Alan... we have a really wide audience, all over the world in fact.. so have to vary it a bit... glad you like the latest crew.. take care, Del.
fully understand del but have to say sick string outlaws fantastic.
Yeah, aint they... my kinda music buddy.... check out Brantley Gilbert.. "Kick it in the Sticks"..!
Check out our FB page and hit "like"! Thanks for the kind words!

looks brilliant Del, i was thinking about that gap in front of the rad, what about welding some sheet metal from where your belly pan stop up in front of the radiator, following the curve of the belly pan, with holes cut in the metal to let the rad breath. maybe use some mesh over the holes? like on the triumph exhaust?
not sure if it is feasible, youre the man to know!
also i have had some complications with my back, not gonna be able to rid for a bit, they think that the vertibrae may have curved slightly, which they are concerned about.
ill keep you informed
take care
ryan
Hi Ryan, that is exactly the kind of direction im thinking of for the front edge..the curve would lend itself well to forming a 'bib' to not only finish the front elegantly, but also to protect the central strip of the radiator that always gets sand blasted.... in fact, if its not too wide, its convex curve would mean that rather than stop air flow getting to the rad, it would direct any air sideways onto the rad each side.....and possibly even produce better air cooling than if it had mesh in it... as mesh would defuse the air flow and slow it down..!!? and i like that kind of thinking.. if i did that, the comments box would light up with people telling me it'll overheat.... lol
Sorry to hear about your back... never nice is back pain.. i hope gets sorted out without too much grief buddy.. keep us posted. god speed mate.. Del.
Brilliant. Again
Thanks Ricky.
Also to address the heat problem you could cut some gills on the sides towards the front, it would look cool too
I like the idea of reversed 'gills' along the flat sections of the pan..!!
those brackets were just made for that pan...excellent m8
Easy fix hah?..
Bonus 👍
Wait, wait I am sure what you need for the tail - another fuel tank with bits of your magics will look lovely! Aside from joking, great job so far!
Looking better every video.
Thanks David
Hi Del with all that Dremel work I bet the neighbours thought a Dentist had moved in.
Ha ha, yeah, i recon..lol
I personally would go for some sort of mesh cover for the whole front of the rad, the bottom of which could be bent and shaped into the belly pan.
The belly pan will be held on with 4 bolts... so it will take a minute to drop it off for any maintenance.. easy. !
Looking good so far dell
Thanks Jack, much appreciated buddy !
No problems mate, looks ah mean machine and looks like it's sort of natural looking from kawasaki 😆 should look a minter when some color gets there 😊
Love all the videos mate been watching for years and only just noticed i wasn't subscribed, Keep up the amazing work, If i sent your a quid for every tenner you have saved me you would be a rich man. Ride safe
Thanks buddy... there are many people who say just the same as you.. its all about saving a few bob... and thats why we opened the Patreon account so now we have the viewer funding we can make videos like this and get better as we go.. ! thanks mate,, appreciate the sub, you'll get notifications now..! Del.
Looking good Del, I'm just trying to think what fuel tank your going to use for the tail! Haha. Loving the new bands by the way.
Thanks buddy... getting there a bit at a time aye.
Good shout using the rad bracket, I think the edges of the radiator stick out a bit too much at the front but I would presume the only way to get out of that is to fit a different rad... I'm now also wondering what make and model fuel tank you will add to the rear! Keep it up, another great video!
Hey buddy.. i may not use a tank at the back.. maybe parts of one to utilize the curves.. but not a whole one.. not got to that yet anyway..lol
I think it works quite nicely. Also think you should box that rad bracket in otherwise it will collect dirt.
It'll probably never get wet, or dirty.. but i think i will box it just for the beefy look.!
"Nice" I like your idea of a gauze / grill.
A few things on top of my mind.
1. For the bit between the radiator and the bellypan, would it be any useful to do some kind of an air intake that would feed fresh air towards the inside of the pan, to cool down the exhaust manifold?
2. For the tail piece, another fuel tank, her name would then be obsiously "supertanker"
Keep up the great work.
Thanks buddy...
Got to make that ass slick
amazing work
Thank Pennie and del
The back will be designed to look right with the overall design of the bike... thanks for your kind comments.. del.
I think now you should call it Tank! looking mega though!
Really starting to look the biz
Thanks buddy.
del i regard you as a master at what you do and respect you alot but please oh please unplug your grinder when changeing the blade id hate for you to get hurt then we would have no videos for a long time
When your in the grove, sometimes you just forget.... 🍀
Ill go with that...! lol
It's looking sweet as.
should put mesh at the front to fill the gap so air can cool the exhaust pipes of so it will get air from the front and out the back
Why does everyone think that exhaust pipes need cooling..? they can glow bright red with no ill effects..!!!! and why ruin the wonderful organic curve of that front by wedging some meshg in its place..!!!! no mate.. i have a plan ,and it'll be in keeping wiht the unique theme of the build.. thanks for your input.. Del.
Let me guess for the tail is going to be a tiny teardrop tank cut in half and put on the side of the subframe with a fair bit of fab to get it looking lovely :D
Maybe... or maybe something else... haven't put any thought into the tail yet.!
I´ll suggest you close the gap with sheet metal, slightly rising against the radiator, ending with the same curve as the radiator. I´d put, lets say 3 smal air scoops in it to provide air intake and cooling for the pipes.
Thanks Lasse.
How about a steel/aluminium woven mesh, to fill the belly pan's gap at the front? Would look pretty damn sweet!
Hi James.. i have a cunning plan for the front... you'll see once i get this thing mounted.. got 4 mounts so make first.!
We need to decide on the name for the bike, Del!
I named my XJR the other day, Poppy! Because she pops on deceleration when I let go of the throttle. (Exhaust is leaking so too much air.. blahblah)
Name is a long way off....but i will open it to the viewers.. oh, and "Tank" will be off limits..lol
Why's that? haha
you could cut out that front section and turn it around so that it scoops.
Like yer thinking, its got to be unique or its boring aye.!
Del.
Idea for the tail piece...... a huge sissy bar like the Captain America one. lol.
At 5:17 I can see the tank has a natural curve inward. I think it could be a cool look if all or most of the tank was bent inward the same way. Just a thought.
Not sure what you're getting at buddy.. the tank is the shape it is.. can't change the shame of steel curves !
Question and you have probably have thought of this , are you going to put drain holes in the pan? This is so cool to watch.
The belly pan has a naffin great 6" wide hole where the filler cap used to be... i think that will let any water out..lol Thanks for watching buddy.
