Your high mount won’t be a problem, but was wondering how you’d do your cut to fit the yosh loop. Also sucks, cause now everyone is gonna order this pan. Lol. I was waiting to order the endurance one, good to know about this other brand.
Yeh, I think the highmount exhaust will fit perfectly, I gave away my other exhaust though so don't have it handy to see how it would fit, you'd probably have to trim a bit of material right under the right rearset but since it's fiberglass, it's very easy to work with. I trimmed a bit where my rearset was rubbing and using a large sanding cylinder in my Dremel tool it came out looking great.
eastcoastish I was still very torn on the duals. I was back and forth for a while, but ultimately decided not to get them. I did however, finally pull the trigger on this cowl/belly pan. I’ve wanted this one since I first saw it. I’m just hoping where I think I’m going cut for the loop, it doesn’t interfere with mounting points.
@@eastcoastish i most definitely will! should be about 2-3 months. i was really torn on getting it because of the amount of curb-hoppery and such that i do, lol...i feel like most people are buying the snb one, and prolly most dont know these are out there. hell, i didnt know about the mdesings one, and was gonna get the endurance. so far im running stock bore,(hcp, and basically same mods as you) but 28mm head/tb/mani, and shes pulling pretty solid.
Apparently the exhaust is NOT shipping this week. Here’s the update I got one minute ago. “We are waiting for more Titanium tubing to arrive here to complete the 2022 GROM dual system. It is on a container ship in Long Beach harbor.” We are another month out. Typical on this cluster. They have been issuing materials from the Grom exhaust to make exhaust for more important bikes. “As soon as the material arrives, it should take a couple of weeks to finish the systems, and then get them shipped out. Sorry I do not have a better answer for you on this. Thank you,”
haha, I got a response today that it's a week out and that they're just waiting on one small part - if it's really the tubing, that's a pretty important part :) thanks for your update though, here's to hoping!
@@eastcoastish They used our tubing to make CRF250 Exhausts. It’s for the collector. I knew they were using our material for other exhausts and they confirmed it today.
@eastcoastish will this belly pan fit directly on a stock 2022 grom I have one on order I will be upgrading the exhaust I’ll worried about the foot pegs and rear brake after ordering I see you and the hrc groms have different foot pegs and brake setup I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed to make it fit
Hey Kent, quick question... did yours come with instructions? I’m not sure where the washers go. I’m assuming the plastic ones go against the fiberglass of the belly pan,
Not sure if mine came with instructions or not - my washers are metal, but if you have plastic ones then I’d use those against the fiberglass. If you have questions about the bracket orientation email me at kent@eastcoastish.com
That belly cowling turned out amazing, bro! How long shipping? What paint did you use? Does webike sell an already matte black oem matching belly cowling or does it only come in white (and needs to be painted regsrdless)? Really wished you made a vid on all the steps and paint process when you did that cowlin,g! Thanks for your videos and i definitely look forward to more grom vids! Cheers!
DHL shipping is like 2 days. I seriously get stuff from Japan quicker than I do from across the country. It only comes in the gel coated FRP white color so you have to finish it yourself. I ended up working on it over the course of a couple of weeks (notice how long my roots grew out from the beginning to the end of the video, lol). Main steps were to rough up the finish with 320 sandpaper, a few coats of Rustoleum filler primer with 600 grit wetsanding, then finished it with Krylon Fusion satin black. I learned the hard way that if you don't recoat immediately, you need to wait about 4 days (even though the can says 24 hours) or else recoating before then will attack the paint and you'll have to start over. On my last coat I also ended up with a few runs so had to wetsand again, wait another few days and then apply the final coat. I hate painting but the final product turned out really nice.

Dude thanks for taking the time to do these videos! What tire sizes do you have on that Grom? Also, do you know if anyone makes an oil cooler and clutch cover like the kitaco kit for the 2022 monkey?
120 front / 140 rear. For the cooler, check this out: japan.webike.net/products/24840653.html I haven't ordered this one yet but I bet we start seeing different options like this where they pull the oil feed off of the filter cap.

You'll probably need to make some modifications to the side, it's fiberglass though so pretty easy to work with.
