As in the Beginning and End of the Bible, The Woman mentioned is our Blessed Mother, she will crush the serpent. We just have to patiently pray and ask her assistance because human beings are just weak while our Mother is so full of Grace. I praise this brave woman and think it’s sad that a) she had to leave the convent and that b) she’s struggling to get support and belief about the testimonies of abuse, that she’s championing. More power to her elbow and God help the oppressed! The Catholic Church, of which I am a member, needs to get a grip!!

I was discouraged about 10 yrs ago when I was late to mass on Sunday and witnessed the priest fighting another church member over an affair the priest had with the mans wife. I started to realize that things aren’t always so holy at the church. The church needs to take on accountability for allowing this to continue for too long!

Ongoing abuse is the worse form of unusual and cruel punishment. The People who are committing the repeated crimes are not being removed away from the victims for the victims to restore their lives whole again. No one should have to speak to repeated offenders of abuse no matter who they are, who they know, what someone else has done, what they do as long as it doesn't hurt anyone, or how they look. That is absurd and the lowest form of human decency.

I could tell horror stories of the abuse I received and witnessed at the hands of nuns (sisters of Mercy). Luckily for me the priests I knew as a kid were honest and respectful. Glad I became atheist.

In this case, the institution needs to change. The Bible warns about those who forbid to marry. It's wrong. If an institution has a consistent track record of a high percentage of any crime, SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE. Homosexuality is horrifically high among priests.

As a Catholic I'm appalled at the scandals in the church and saddened for the victims. Thanks be to God though that this is being brought into the light. That way healing and reform can take place. While this is a tradgedy there is nothing that would make me leave the church founded by Jesus. It saddens me and Our Lord when ppl leave His church because of the bad choices priests have made. We put our faith in God not man.

Such cases happen in almost all the churches but the cases are never revealed to the public and the only punishment given to the priest is that he is transferred somewhere else where he continues with his cruel acts of sexually abusing the nuns as well as children.
