Perfect timing. I was editing a photo last week and needed to do this very thing but had no idea of how to do it. Now I do! Thanks for sharing this technique.
Thats awesome, hope this video helped you, thank you!
So obvious - but it never occurred to me to do this! Thank you
Excellent Christian. Thank you once again.
Hallo Danke wieder was Neues dazugelernt. LG aus der
Vielen lieben Dank!! :-)

Nice trick and workaround!
Very nice technique; I learned a lot. Thanks for the tutorial, Christian.
Thats great to hear, thank you!
wonderful work
Awesome!
Great video!
Thank you!
Thanks Christian..... Am learning a lot from you.
Thats great to hear, thank you!
Really nice and usefull workaround. I always wanted to use HSL locally but I have never considered doing this and I believe most of users have not too. It's quite simple but is really a good idea. Thanks for sharing!
Thats great to hear, thank you so much! :-)
Thanks Christian, I really enjoy your videos. I've used this technique for quite a while after seeing Dave Morrow doing this in one of his videos. Like him, I make each layer a smart object so I can tweak Camera Raw Filters adjustments further if needed. Instead of using the brush for your sky adjustjments with the Photoshop mask, you could use Select|Sky and save the selection as a mask. All the best - Dave
Good idea to convert to smart object. Thanks❤
Thank you Dave for pointing this out, thats very clever and useful to know!
Was also instantly thinking about Smart Objects ;-) But great tutorial
Amazing work. Thx for sharing it. BTW which drone was used for this shot ?
Thank you! I use the DJI Air 2s
Hey Christian can we use R,G,B Curves in masking tool for split toning/color grading effect ?
Hey, that is infact possible, might be harder to get the same results though!
@@ThePhlogPhotography ya I agree. For that your curve game should point. 😂
wow.🔥 How long have you been editing photos?
Thank you! Photo Editing specifically since around 2008, Photoshop in general since 2004 :-)
LG Wilfried
Vielen lieben Dank Wilfried!
@@ThePhlogPhotography Vielen Dank. Hab schon ausprobiert, funktioniert prima👍
Hi Christian. Why not do the whole image and editing in Photoshop? I would think you could have a lower file size, but that’s the only advantage that I would see. Thanks!
Hey, if you prefer using only photoshop thats totally viable. Sometimes I personally like to use adjustments like split toning for example locally which works great via the camera raw editor as an example
