    Christian, Thank you very much for your brilliant presentation on split toning. The global and luminance enhancement has made the waters glowing beautifully. You have inspired me a lot.
    Today I drove to Gothenburg 120km from home to get som photos and videos, because it is a very shiny sunny day after a few months snow and frozen rain weather. So it is late to catch up your extraordinary update on time, I am sorry. I also shot by the waters today, it is very helpful to try this split toning method on my phots. I am grateful for your presentation and help!

    Excellent tutorial Christian, thank you, I have been following your work for some time. I would have liked to see you complete the process of cleanup in Photoshop, perhaps you could finish that in the next video. Thanks again.

    Fabulous editing, however I found it distracting thst the reflection of the sky in the water no longer matched the sky.

    • @ThePhlogPhotography
      @ThePhlogPhotography  5 месяцев назад

      Thanks a lot! I usually change the reflection in a way its not accurately matching the sky thats true, to me it just looks better, but thats a personal preference!

    Always enjoy your videos. A question at 4:50 you add a linear gradient to the sky, then subtract the sky. You indicate this is to remove the building, but it looks more like the opposite happened. do you need to invert the subtraction?? I might not have followed it correctly so I could be wrong. Thanks

      Agree, when following along I saw the same thing.

    • @i.m.5621
      @i.m.5621 5 месяцев назад

      I think it should be "intersecting" the linear gradient with the sky instead of "subtracting" the sky from the linear gradient. The darkening was mistakenly applied to the tops of the towers.

    Wonderful. How do you address the white line edges that can sometimes be present on buildings against the sky? Can’t find a good fix…

    • @ThePhlogPhotography
      @ThePhlogPhotography  2 месяца назад

      These white lines are the worst. If I really want to get rid of them, I usually go into Photoshop and use the min / max filter (to target edges around things like this). I havent figured out a way to do this properly in Lightroom sadly

    Why bringing down the global luminance in the color grading tab instead of just the exposure overall?
    Or is it working differently like the brightness vs exposure in c1?

    • @ThePhlogPhotography
      @ThePhlogPhotography  6 дней назад +1

      You can do both, There might be a tiny difference between the outcome of those two, but in the end it dont think it matters much.

    The tutorial as such is great, but to my taste the building colors became slightly too warm.

    • @ThePhlogPhotography
      @ThePhlogPhotography  5 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the comment! Thats fine, I love the colors more intense, but you can dial it down a bit in the HSL Panel :-)

    Why is this type of sharpening better than Noise reduction by AI?
