I was snooping on FB marketplace this week and tripped across the boat! Recognized the gray awesomeness. Didn’t want to comment until you posted, but that was random. lol
This was a great build, thank you for sharing. I just watched both your 1436 and 1437 builds in the last couple days, and I really appreciate your attention to detail and how clean your builds are. That's how I build things. Funny enough it wasn't until the last episode that I realized that you are in Ohio, I'm originally from Dayton but I live south east of Columbus currently. So howdy neighbor, keep up the fantastic content. I just picked up a 1985 12s alumacraft v hull yesterday. It's pretty un molested by previous owners, and is in great shape, so I will have a perfect blank slate to work with. It didn't come with a lot of extras, but the hull is very solid and not beat up and has a great trailer and it came with a 55lb minn kota and a nice 85 mercury 4.5hp 2 stroke, so I'm happy with it.
@@mvboutdoors Thanks we are already enjoying it! I got into it today, pressure washed with just water and started removing the rotted adhesived on carpet on the benches and put new lights on the trailer. I have a feeling I just found a new hobby to be obsessed with.
Pretty good, the adhesive that it came with was pretty week so I had to use some spray adhesive on the edges to keep it down in some places. Other than that it wasn't bad. If I were to use it again, I would probably spray all the edges with adhesive first. It's no where near the quality of hydro-turf, if you have the budget I'd recommend it 100x over the cheap amazon stuff but for a super budget build on a boat that you only plan to use for a couple seasons it's fine enough.

Haha, that's awesome

Hi neighbor! -- Those are my favorite kind of finds, boats that haven't been "modded" yet! Enjoy your new build.

Epic, these boat building vids are gold
Awesome job
Nice clean build, bro!
Thanks man
I'd love to see what you could do to a plastic boat like an ole Coleman Crawdad. Excellent work!
You must have read my mind, I've been seriously considering getting a 10' pond prowler or bass raider next!
Do you still have the 16’ bass boat you built?

Did you ever fill the benches with anything?
Stacked foam board
Would it be hard to put a hatch on each side of the seats for more storage?
Not at all, would be a good way to access the benches
Any idea how the Amazon EVA foam is holding up?

$1500 !!!! this would go for $5k+ in my area !!
wood needs more than just epoxy. A small layer of glass would have been way better in the epoxy
