This is a really nice video! You offer so much value and clarity, thank you for that. I now know better what it takes to own a BMW M car, just about $1000 per month. Thanks!
Thanks for making this video! I love your channel and my dream car is the OG M2. This will help a lot once its the right moment for me to pull the trigger! How do you like the G80 in comparison? I cant imagine selling the beautiful F87 for it.
I appreciate the comment. The G80 M3 is totally different to be honest. It’s faster, but feels safer by having better control with the 4WD. The M2 had to be sold due to the mileage. It was a sweet spot before the value starts to drop.
very good and informative video!!! Make more videos like this about your m3. also I wanted to ask how does the selling car and bank thing works. Did you fully pay for your car to the bank and after you sold it you did not have to pay anything to the bank or did you sell your car and had to pay the remaining amount of money to the bank of the lease? How does this thing work?
I knew stepping into a BMW M2 that tires would be the most frequently replaced part. It is the tough line between an awesome performance tire that wears down quickly and a tire that won't wear down, but won't stick to the road the way you need it to for a high performance car.
Nice comprehensive analyzis, but would have been really nice to add the VAT at the end calculation / ownership or km cost etc. For example, in EST do you get fuel without VAT for any company car? Your car held its value exceptionally well, I think mainly because of the car market, you bought and sold it at the "prime time". Here in Finland these M2's did cost 55-60ke after the Covid (early 2021), but now even the highest mileage early production ones are around 57ke.
My absolute dream car. Sadly not buyable here in Holland. These things went to the moon with their prices due to EU regulations and the latest M2 being ugly as hell. An average M2 (not even with options and/or comp) will cost around 50k - 55k EUR€. Too much money :(
Thanks for the detailed sharieyour experiences! Maybe I missed it, but where is the car now, back to the leasing company?! Would be interesting to know the remaing value to compare leasing vs buying.
The car got sold to another person. Obviously not to the leasing company. I just found a buyer, he paid the bank I leased at, bank deducted whatever was unpaid and I got the rest.
As a UK watcher what weirded me out is that you were able to put an aftermarket down pipe and exhaust on a leased vehicle through your business and the modifications did not void your extended warranty? Im assuming these are different in Estonia
Absolutely no problem with doing that. As long as I do only visual or exhaust tuning. If I tune the ECU or modifiy the engine parts, then it would be a problem.
Word of caution for anyone wanting to replicate the same tax loophole: in many countries you could get in big trouble for not paying VAT if you use a "company car" for personal use. Do it at your own risk.
@@miguelpinedo8782 Yep, I know. But S55 apart from crank hub issues (which could happen on N55 too, correct?) should be stronger, sturdier built engine. Or I'm dreaming?

realy good video. thx for explaning that good, love from Denmark
nice transparency. owning a m car is not cheap. I spent over $1,000 alone just on rear cosmetic changes on my m2
That's an optional "expense" my friend who owned an M2 comp for two years and over 20k miles had no issues with just oil changes and tires/brakes.

Great video. Can I ask what warranty company you went with?
I spend around £10,000 a year on my 2018 LCI M2. Not cheap but worth every penny.

Not a focused sports car by any means, just a compact sport sedan.
Not the cost of owning a sports car. The cost of owning a poorly built BMW. None of this would have happened with a more reliable vehicle.
