    Lovely soap - my only challenge is the slow motion, you’re even slower than real time. We will learn, and keep up with you if you go a little less hynoptic, promise you. However, thank you.

      You're welcome. There's really no set shelf life for proper soaps. A lot depends on the oils used. Avoid using rancid oils, aim for fresh ones. In fact, cold process soaps, become better, with improved lather, as they cure. Make sure to properly store the soaps, in cool, dry conditions.

    Also, is your cocoa powder raw or roasted and can I use either, does it make a difference in the process, thank you 🙂

      The cocoa bean was roasted to get the powder. I don't know about any sourced without roasting. If you eventually use the one not roasted, please, let us know the outcome, happy soaping!

    Can we use Cadbury's unsweetened cocoa powder for this recipe?

      If it's pure, raw cocoa powder, then you're good to go.

    Could I substitute the palm and soy oil for rice bran oil?

    • @soothingsoapbubbles
      @soothingsoapbubbles  Год назад +2

      Hi, you can substitute the soy oil for rice bran but not the palm kernel oil. For the palm kernel oil, coconut or babassu oil would be a better substitute. You know, different oils have different saponification values, so, you'll need a slightly different recipe. If you'll be substituting, just let me know so that I can help you with a recipe according to your available oils.

      Lye is sodium hydroxide, the alkaline used to make soap. Some people call it caustic soda too
