Congrats on getting healthier! And great idea to get in shape before 40. I'm approaching 45 and wished i had been able to do that, but had 1 baby at 40 and the other at 42. One recommendation from an elder...start lifting weights. Women lose a lot of muscle mass in their 40s. That's what I'm working on now. More lifting and more protein.

Great job! I like how you prioritized this as a health issue. I feel so much of the diet culture is geared toward looks. Almost seven years ago, I went on a similar journey. I didn't use weight watchers or anything, but how I eat is almost identical to you. I also like how you didn't label any of the food as bad. So much of my weight loss journey involved my mindset around food. Putting foods in categories like good and bad wasn't healthy for me. I still eat treats, and when I do I can enjoy them instead of feeling like everything is lost. I would love to see some cooking videos! I'm always looking for new recipes 🙂

I’m a Lifetime member of Weight Watchers. When I followed their plan I lost weight but as soon as I lost within months I started eating what I wanted. In other words I continuously fell off the Weight Watchers wagon.
But it does work when you follow it.
Many years later and during Covid Pandemic I was eating my feelings with so much junk food!
I got the biggest I ever have been.
What I did was start following my Diabetic diet. By the way when I first joined Weight Watchers that was their diet plan. They were promoting the Diabetic diet and referred to them as exchanges.
    This was in the 80’s
I started counting my carbs not calories and I stayed away from junk.
    I’m 5 foot 2 too. I was around 174 lbs.
I have lost over 50lbs starting in 2021 and now weigh 122 lbs and this time I kept it off.
Congratulations on your weight loss journey. I know and understand how changing your eating can really make a difference in your weight and life.❤

    Random thoughts about weight management:
    For breakfast I love:
    Half cup rolled oats
Half cup unsweetened oat or almond milk
Two Tablespoons PB2 powdered peanut butter
    Raisins
Stir together and refrigerate overnight. I think it's great for breakfast, very filling.
By lunchtime I just want a small meal, like salad with cottage cheese. I LOVE the brand of cottage cheese called Nancy's. It's tangy and not bland-tasting.
Dinner doesn't vary much. Fish or chicken with 2 plain vegetables. Fruit for dessert, which I usually save for a nighttime snack.
My home-health nurse for rehab after my accident told me about the overight oatmeal + PB2 breakfast.

Congratulations on achieving goals 🎉. It feels so good to put effort in and get results out. Bravo!!
Weight watchers was my first step after having kids, and it was SO helpful. I did it after both of my kids. Now, my youngest is going to be 7 and I’m deeper into a focus on living longer, which connects to metabolic health. I follow Dr. Andrew Huberman, Dr. Peter Attia, and Dr. Gabrielle Lyon. In a nutshell, it’s eating enough protein and weight training.
I hope you have a great day! Thank you for always sharing so beautifully here on RUclips.

Hi Marion! Congratulations on your weight loss and thank you for sharing your meal plans! I am about nine years older than you and have not have children, but I am currently heavier than I have ever been. (As a child, I was skinny and could not seem to gain wait, to the point I was teased about it). So, admittedly, this is a new issue for me in middle age and know I need to change my diet (my vice is sugary drinks like lattes). I recently started following a social media influencer who creates less sugary versions of favorite Starbucks drinks (I have tried some and they still taste good!). Overall, though, I need to meet healthier meal options and so I am reading labels and trying to limit sugar. Your video came at a perfect time for me, and I wish you continued success on your health journey (you look great, by the way!).

We are the same age and I definitely have that mentality of "eating what I want as an F to diet culture" but Ive also gained 25lbs I'd like to lose. This was very motivational.

I have hashimoto’s and I do notice if I cut out gluten and non-fermented dairy I do feel better (suggested by endocrinologist). Easy tortilla recipe: mix equal amounts of almond/rice/potato flour, add pinch of salt and enough water to get crepe batter consistency, pan fry in ghee (or even without if in a non-stick pan). add eggs and you have gluten-free crepes. 💕 congrats on your progress! 😊

You are doing good. I had to change my diet too. I had a problem with my blood sugar so I started a keto diet low in carbs. Then I have an ibs problem and was afraid to eat fruit because I have been loading up on low carb veggies but I decided to go with low carb fruits anyway. I still consider calories as well.

Good for you for getting healthy. My daughter came down with hyperthyroidism age 25 and was so ill she had to quit her dream job. She was able to completely put her Graves in remission by completely changing her diet. And information for you, she is a very habit eater. Again, I am so proud of you!!!

    I wish u started a weightloss/meal sharing group.
Also question: just started eating Kosher... we installed a new kitchen. If it has never been cooked it, is it kosher or do we need to kasher it?

This might be getting too personal, but may I ask if you've had any decrease in bust size with this diet change? (Asking because I'm having a particularly hard time with weight loss when it comes to the size of my breasts (30H), because the back/neck pain keeps me from doing a lot of rigorous exercises).

Amazing vidoe thank you for inspiring. I’m also 5.2 and i also went up to 197 with my last pregnancy. Right now I’m 170 lol, but I don’t look at all. What do you think would be a good number to get too? I used to be 128 pound and looked great . Realistically I don’t think I can do this again. What do you think would be realistic goal for us both lol
