  • Make a bit of progress getting 2 of the stringers glassed in to the hull and tied in to the transom. Also get the duck board / swim platforms formed up and ready to go.

With the fracturing using cabosil I find dropping the ratio from 2% to 1.5% with the catalyst helps, filler tends to heat up more and cure a bit fast causing fracture. Good idea using the milled fibre or chopped fibre though for the bigger gaps, I would have done the same.

What supplier did you get your supplies from and what board are you using for your stringers?

Hey mate, I use Trojan fibreglass for all the consumable fibreglass stuff like glass mat and resin. it's in NSW so takes about a week to get to me. And I'm using 19mm thermolite for the stringers, 38mm for the transom, and I get that locally in townsville from a place called FibreFinish. but I believe it is imported from the states.

Thanks legend, I was already looking at Trojan so I’ll jump on that!
I’m Gold Coast based so will look locally for the boards too, delivery is huge on the shit.

Tape your low sides, then fillet with putty on the low ,pour resin on the highside and tape will wet then come back down the high with a fillet of putty then is time for 1708.

Hey mate, thanks heaps for the feedback. It's probably very obvious that I'm learning each stage as I go. I'm guessing the doing the low side first makes filling and filleting the high side easier?
      Thanks again
