I'm sorry I don't hate Kylie but Riri is the example of what self made is. Kylie grew up in a wealthy family and had more resources. Riri had to figure everything out on her own without help or having resources to start. That's what self made is. No hate they are both amazing and successful business women regardless.
And Taylor is also a good example.
By self made, they mean that the person did all the work themselves. While I do definitely agree with you that she had a household name to rest on when starting her makeup brand, unlike all her other sisters, she started her business on her own with no help or input from her mother. All of the other girls definitely had a hand up by their mom and they all also had a lot of companies come and go before finally creating brands that made real money and will be around for a good amount of time and can continue to be profitable regardless of their celebrity status. The only other “company” Kylie had before her makeup was her clothing line she had with her sister kendall, but that was started when she was still a minor.
Who cares if your self made or have a wealthy family to help guide you… Women need to support women! Kylie did the work and made great products. Rihanna also amazing woman who worked her a$$ off. We need to be positive and congratulate WOMEN who break out of the normal role of what society has deemed acceptable to women. I am proud of all of those women!

I don't hate Kylie but I don't think she is a self made woman and she was born just a wealthy family so you don't need to label her as a self made. If you label, every self made woman laugh at you or her.
