These Are The Richest Self-Made Female Billionaires In America

A rout in the U.S. stock market this spring pushed down the combined net worth of the nation’s 100 richest self-made women to $111 billion, a 6% drop from last year; it also helped lower the admission cutoff to Forbes’ eighth annual list of these trailblazers to $215 million, down from $225 million a year ago.
Still, 51 women on this year's list are richer than they were in 2021. And there are 24 billionaires on the list, including Spanx founder Sara Blakely and aerospace firm Sierra Nevada cofounder Eren Ozmen.
