In this video I show you how to sign the phrases BE CAREFUL and TAKE CARE.
Both signs use the same handshapes and similar placement but the movement is different.

I’m nearly deaf and have been trying to find a way my fam can learn sign language for me easily. This is perfect for them (and me since I only know a small handful) to learn from! Thank you for doing this for us! It’s hard to find someone on here who doesn’t rush into so much signing at once to the point no one learns from it.

I love how u take ur time and show the sign multiple times and in different positions before I found ur channel I tried multiple videos to learn ASL but they go to fast or don’t explain what to do very well and I end up getting frustrated. Thanks so much for creating the videos about 2 months ago I found out I need it hearing aids which is not a bad thing but within 2 weeks came down with a very loud tinnitus buzzing that makes hearing very hard at time… I love how you show everything 3 times and with the worlds…. Your channel is the best I found.

Hi and thanks for watching. In all honesty, I would sign "be careful" in place of "be safe." Depending on the situation you could also sign WARN or WARNING followed by CAREFUL.
Isn't that the sign for "keep" as well?
Great question! The sign for "keep" is very similar to "take care" but you use a single movement for "keep."
I see people raise the top hand up and back down to the bottom hand..is that right as well ? When I see one thing then see another I get confused and wonder which is right and wrong
Hello, and thanks for checking out my page! Are you referring to the sign for “take care?” If so, I can see how it may be confusing. My dominant hand is primarily doing the movement (with the base hand reacting). If you have seen someone sign it in a slightly different manner, I don’t think it is the difference between right and wrong as much as it is signing style.

does "take care" also apply to a phrase like "you need to 'take care' of your pets" or is it different for that sort of context?
