- The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince follows the tale of two lonely hearts brought together through a mutual misunderstanding. In it, you control the wolf, transformed to the guise of a princess who guides the blind prince through a perilous forest in search of a witch capable of returning his sight. The forest is home to a number of hostile beasts intent on ending your journey prematurely, as well as hazardous traps that put the prince in danger. Transform into the wolf to dispatch your foes and guide the prince carefully as a princess to ensure his safety, in search of a fairytale ending.

Wonder if this game did well because I've literally seen nothing about it since the release, even when I was doing a lot of research for games to buy when I got my switch this year.

I preordered it. It’s already out in the U.S.; both in store & digitally check the eshop. It’s a solid game. Yeah, pretty to look at & good story. Not sure about branching paths & the other deets. I’ve been playing blind.
FYI, I think you had to preorder the physical, as it only comes in a box set with book. $30. I got it from GameStop on the 12th.

The ost was wonderful and fit each scene perfectly. The art throughout the game had me feel like I was reading and experiencing a nostalgic children's book. While the puzzles and platforming may be considered average to most, the story was where this game truly shined. I loved every minute of it.
The prince's eyes were scratched. And now blood goes everywhere.

@Dr Judgement Seems to be a puzzle escort quest kinda game. They showed some gameplay of the Liar Princess slashing the cage and attacking baddies. Maybe stronger baddies will show up and you have to protect the prince?

@@timwoods2852 Quite the contrary, we play indie games all the time. While "dark chibi" has been done many times, this particular pax south featured many overly bubbly and colorful games on display. In that sense, it had a unique atmosphere.
I loved this game, the price was a little to high and the game is pretty short but besides that, this was one of my favorites and I played a lot of indie games.
This looks exactly like the kind of game that is guaranteed to make me cry-

I love this game! I am so glad that it was released on the day when a lot of relationships begin, end, and are tested to their limits, as the relationship between the prince and the "princess" is all based on a lie. I look forward to hearing people's reactions to this story that is reminiscent of " The Little Mermaid", "Little Red Riding Hood", "The Crane Wife", and "Iron Hans" rolled into one game.
So in other words: ALL ABOARD THE FEELS TRAIN! YOU AIN'T GETTIN OFF ONCE IT STARTS!

Everytime I see a story of a blind boy and an "ugly" girl it reminds me of the book MARIANELA, the story is very similar: a girl who is ugly and has a sad life that takes care of a blind boy from a wealthy family.
I recommend reading it, it's a good book

I just love how Nintendo is welcoming indie game titles onto their consoles. It’s so refreshing and it makes me so proud to see them branching out to new genres!
