So long as ammo is impossible, mags are not a bad buy. Some firearms (some, mind you) are down to good prices as well (particularly some of the pocket pistols). If ammo stays dry, there will be ever more mags and guns entering the market with no one to buy them because no one can feed them EXCEPT for those (of us) who stocked ammo for years. I snagged some good 33 round Glock mags (green instead of black, but that lets me color code which have range ammo and which have bump in the night party favors) at a steal. Sure, it is odd that I'm putting $25 into them (when it should be $7), but I could fill 100 more, so no worries. I'm looking for two spare pocket 9's that match my EDC to put in the cars and replace the off caliber pocket guns that currently live in them. I'm hoping to catch some deals if they start to fill the shelves since no one else can feed them.

So that just happened, and you're by yourself. You have a sucking chest wound, and any moment your lung is gonna collapse. What do you do? Those books answer all sorts of questions like that. Amazing to think a bit of tape and a sandwich bag can save your life in that scenario, used to create a one way valve (cut bag into square, place over wound, and tape up 3 sides). Prevents air from being sucked in through the wound, but will allow air to escape the wound. The information in those books, especially the medical one, is damn near priceless in an emergency. Also reminds you not all knife blades will spark on fire steel, a real bummer of a thing to find out in the field if that was your plan to start a fire, lol.

My brother works at the Daniel Defense factory over there in Georgia. He has been ordering us the 12 pack DD 32 round mags each month for a year. I'm going on over 200 mags... LOADED... Had the ammo from when I worked at Palmetto State Armory in 2018 and 2019

This. I also bought some body armor this year, and I am also looking into other support gear. Food stores are all over the place right now, because of 2020/2021, but you can still find some deals. I think you got it balanced about as well as can be, when you have a little extra, buy a little extra. When one thing is in high demand and/or low supply, look to the other things on your list to invest in.
I recently bought a Russian parts kit build AK for $1000 even, spent about $22 each for polish surplus steel 7.62x39 mags in two batches, and at the same time as the mags I bought 200 rounds of Red Army Standard for $77 shipped to fill the mags I bought so I had something on hand until I could buy a whole case at a decent price. I'm also about to pull the trigger on buying an Armi Galesi .25 for pocket carry thst the guy wants $100 for, and I'm also buying a vintage .32 acp surplused police pistol my buddy scored in a trade for my mom as a gift. There's deals to be had as long as you don't panic and you shop around for the best price like you normally would.
Training is huge. I would encourage everyone even if they're not gun owners to be trained and equipped to deal with traumatic injuries and basic first aid. During the riots which is assume we will see some this summer, medical response in many areas of city and even suburbs EMS could not or would not be able to get to you in normal times. In urban AOs 1-3 hours for EMS was not uncommon. Having the skills and equipment to treat serious injuries is extremely important and those kits are worth thier weight in gold if you need them. Just like a firearm, when you need it, you REALLY need it. I think general preparedness and getting that squared away, upgrade supplies or gear if you need to bug in for a little bit is wise. Seeing the panic buying during the 15 days in March it was a relief for me knowing I was only topping off some basics and this wasn't my only food, TP or whatever unlike most other people. Same during the riots, when stores closed at 6pm or others had been looted, knowing you are prepared if you are looking at those issue is smart. Gardening is huge, that can be done almost every place someone lives even if it is a plant or 2. Anything you can do that will allow you to learn that skill is great thing and it is a learning experience for me every single year
7.62x39 still plentiful and cheap, $7/20rds all day where I'm at. I've been hearing rumors of people ditching ARs for AKs because of ammo availability, causing prices of rifles to rise significantly.
@@ScarredCitizen absolutely, i would not spend more than $700 for a WASR brand new. I've been reccomending 7.62x39 AR uppers to friends, you can get one from BCA complete for around $400. Good advice. I’ve got friends who prior to covid never owned f**erams. I help guide them on quality models. Them tell them, gotta go after Ammo, mags, optics, sling, lights, etc… they end up with safe full of aluminum and steel with no force multipliers. 😖 So much inventory of quality kit out there for little or no price increases. Double up!!!

I’ve spent the last 2 years on gear. Finally put some toward an incredibly sweet sounding Taylor Acoustic 314ce v-class. This will be my first “expensive” guitar. But I fell in love with the sound.
I've got several pistols, glock mags are easy and decent price, but i have a walther ppq m2, and can't find any mags that aren't 50 dollars or more, and usually out of stock.
Where i live( next to the bluegrass army depot) having gas masks is common! Also a full shelter in place kit with 6 mil plastic sheeting and duct tape as well as a secondary heavy vinyl tape. The destruction of those weapons is iffy and its a hot topic here.
Just made a mag purchase from sportsman's guide at a fair price. I am also investing in weights and am picking up a 45 degree leg press next week. Being strong and fit is invaluable and you can set up a great home gym fro Facebook marketplace, Titan fitness, and other places for cheap.
Man Glock mags are just now starting to become available around where I live in Missouri. Ammo is slowly coming back too. At decent prices. I was worried for a while lol.

If you look you can still find deals. I bought a 12 gauge bullpup for $270 from PSA when everyone else had the same gun for over $500.
Just commenting because I appreciate your channel. Algorithm stuff. I'm excited to see you as a part of the Warrior Poet Society Network!
Got 30 round AR 2A mags from a local store, they were 9.00 each. Limit was 20 per customer.
Almost summer!.... time to go by my winter gear for next winter, you can find a lot of stuff on sale for cheap that didn't sell this last winter.
The gun shop near me still has a big stockpile of Gen 2 5.56 Pmags for $9 each. I always pick one up whenever I pop in there. So I currently have several unopened Pmags. No point in opening the package, as I don't have the ammo to fill them. :(
A good pocket knife as well.
Yes the Heritage Rough Rider .22 single action revolver is about 130 bucks.
Awesome video guys! Thanks for keeping it up!!
Always griping, but quote Sgt Rock, 'It's not good to hear a solider not gripe'.
Silence is the sound of surrender.
It all depends on your definition of affordable. Lol
Ikr? Most of the stuff chad showed i got the feelin he was just flexin his stuff for the camera. Lol. Not hatin. Im literally not in the market for any of that stuff. I went thru a phase buyin stuff like that but realized i never use it. Nice to have i guess, but it mostly just collects dust. A decent chest rig and a few mags is all you really need
It's funny to me that you posted this the same day I bought NODS and a PEQ-15 for pretty cheap
First, I want to thank you both for you're honest and valuable information. God Bless you guys and you're families. Stay safe
Hell, anything is affordable if you have a job, determination, and are motivated. If you can dream it...you can live it. It’s one thing to talk about things that don’t exist vs things being affordable.
Same people that ask ATF questions about every little thing are the same ones that are buying all at CRAZY PRICES . JUST SAY NO !👍
Yes, Milsurp gear (other than guns) I just picked up a super awesome swiss m70 load-bearing jacket, totally gonna be my new hunting jacket and I won't even need a pack except for extended outings!
I’m still confused WHERE 22 mag...17 hmr....17 wsm..... ( not exactly self defense stuff ) has gone? And why am I seeing BRANDS of ammo lately not the normal Federal, ect.?
The truth is distributors are sitting on most of it driving up prices. Just like they did with 22lr from 2015-2017.
Went to the local gun show two months ago. Left the house thinking Turkish Mauser for $250 would be a good day. I found a 1903 model and a Yugo m48a at the same table. Negotiated $425 for both. In my opinion, it was a great day.
Looking into doing up a 14.7" pinned m4 clone, going back to nostalgia and learning to do something new..
My brother works at the Daniel Defense factory over there in Georgia. He has been ordering us the 12 pack DD 32 round mags each month for a year. I'm going on over 200 mags... LOADED... Had the ammo from when I worked at Palmetto State Armory in 2018 and 2019
🍪
i got a Ruger PC charger for a decent price. $700 after delivery to my ffl. plenty of mags for that already from my 9e. my new neighbor reloads so i have a new friend too!
Ammo and Optics. We need em' in the Infrastructure Bill.
I feel bad for the folks limited to 10rd mags. Just bought a few more 30 for my AR, and noticed the magpul 10rd was the same price as the 20 Pmag.
I scored a 3M breathe easy PAPR for like $35 on ebay to go with my FM12 a few weeks ago, deals are out there
This is why I got a airforce Texan lss and a lead smelter and bullet cast and lead is easy to get
Ruger wrangler and S&w shield (NOT the newest one) are still at pre pandemic prices.
I just got an AR loaded out the way I want finally. Night sights and a flashlight with a tape switch. Accessories are available and affordable.
When people are selling and buying WASR's at $1500-2000 ak's aren't worth it right now.
@@ScarredCitizen absolutely, i would not spend more than $700 for a WASR brand new. I've been reccomending 7.62x39 AR uppers to friends, you can get one from BCA complete for around $400.
I just recently burned out the barrel on one of their uppers after 10k-ish rounds, got a new one free on warranty.
When you run 7.62 do the barrels get hot on the ar? Hotter then mostm
@@napiermail3592 no. But you need a lower to take 30 cal mags
Shhhh 7.62 is just finally starting to creep back down don’t spoil it
Good advice. I’ve got friends who prior to covid never owned f**erams. I help guide them on quality models. Them tell them, gotta go after Ammo, mags, optics, sling, lights, etc… they end up with safe full of aluminum and steel with no force multipliers. 😖
So much inventory of quality kit out there for little or no price increases.
Double up!!!
Sig Romeo 5 has gone up. Used to go for typical $99, now its $130...
I highly recommend companies like spiritus systems, crye precision, velocity systems, or trex arms if y’all are looking for plate carriers, chest rigs, and belts. All are very similar in price from $100-300.
Im.glad I started 'esrly'...while I was stationed in Germany in the early 70s. I Still have my RCBS Rockchucker..
The firearms are long gone...I started collecting and buying in the mid late 80s...C&R, 1911, ARs...I bought most of my stuff after my 2002 stroke...replaced the stuff I hadda sell post stroke...bought ammo when it was cheap...there isn't any inexpensive C&R any more..
Sportsmans Guide has a fair quantity of milsurp vests and belts again, along with mag pouches. You may have to piece it together, but it can be done.
I walked into wally world this week and got a brick of 22 and a brick of trap loads for 2019 prices. I about clicked my heels on the way out
I’ve spent the last 2 years on gear. Finally put some toward an incredibly sweet sounding Taylor Acoustic 314ce v-class.
This will be my first “expensive” guitar. But I fell in love with the sound.
Nicceee. Make her sing, brother
I've got several pistols, glock mags are easy and decent price, but i have a walther ppq m2, and can't find any mags that aren't 50 dollars or more, and usually out of stock.
That’s beautiful he have a soldier free kit hope he make millions
I've had to use ets mags, for my glock. They are around 20 dollars or more depending on capacity.
@@wrenchracer86cl also dumham sports has Glock mags that are pretty generic, no holes to see your rounds. But they’re 22 rd mags for 12 bucks. They work. I’ve tested two of them so far.
CCI rep was replacing some ammo I had problems with. I asked if I could buy another case of mini mags. He said back order was 3 yrs.
Yall have enough red dots laying around to put one on the spotting scope! Lol! Sounds like me with cheap rifle scopes
I love you guys and thank you Eric for your service
Man its almost like the dollar is on its way to being worthless🤔🤣
You buy the heck out of the rigs at $80 a pop... how many rigs do you have? 20-40 and why?
Ridiculous
Here in Canada I bought the Mossberg 590 Shockwave and it was $600...wasn't to long ago it was $350.
far as plate carriers go, British surplus Osprey vests are surprisingly cheap, like $60 at some places, they're pretty nice.
I sold ar mags and some ammo for a good profit. One good thing about stockpiling is having enough to sell to people
Considering this scarcity,i was planning on finally getting into flintlock and black powder firearms.
Also,i remember a guy creating an air machinegun with easily found materials, and he released that video so that people from around the world could arm themselves. Caselman i think.Might be good to join that side too.
Also, wasn't there a prototype coil gun some years ago?
After that,i can only think of crossbows.
If things really get bleak there are always polearms, Cold Steel make some good ones.
If push comes to stove, better learn from Adam Celadin or similar how to throw knives.
You know you are in an episode of "The Twilight Zone" when you can buy a Carcano rifle at a gun show for around 200$,but the ammo is 40 $ a box if you can even find it.
No kidding. I inherited one of those. Then I looked up how much the ammo is. Yeah. Nope. Wall hanger it is.
Maybe I'll join the rest of the gougers and flip it on GunBroker for some ridiculous price. 😆
@@M81_WOODLAND Picked up 2 boxes from AIM surplus for 22$ a box a couple of weeks ago. What boggles my mind is that PPU Partizan in Serbia told me in an email that they were gonna run a bunch of 6.5 Carcano in February or March and then...well I guess everybody still had Covid and didn't make it to work those months ...so here we are waiting for scraps to be thrown our way.
Never knew about that collimating device for a standard pvs14! Awesome.
Larry's Pistol & Pawn in Huntsville, Ala
A good shop and friend of shooters.
Short answer, absolutely! Cmmg 22 conversion bolts with 3 mags is $100 less than this time last year. Even ammo where I live is still very affordable. But the availability is.poor
Where they really get you is on the accessories. That’s where they make the high profit margins
ended up getting a securit wall to put all the stuf here up. saved the best for last. i see ur wall got larger xD
