Hi Pablo. It is not clickbait. I would not do that. I actually talk about the potential payment ranges of each of the websites I mention in the video. The $3,400 is a reference from one of the companies’ website. Good luck!
Hi Laura, first I am a big fan of you, you rock. You are very knowledgeable, so generous in sharing valuable information and super direct. Thanks you so much for all your great videos. I have a question for you if you do not mind, how can I start my own translation/interpretation company? I live in Texas and I would like your guidance on what kind of licenses and/or permits I need to have to start making assignment directly with customers ( a business on a very small scale 1-2 interpreters company only for now). Many thanks.
Thank you. That is so kind of you. It is my pleasure to serve you all. As far as starting a company, I would recommend you talk to a lawyer in Texas. He or she would be the best to advise you. What I would suggest though, would be to start freelancing first on your own and build a customer base.
@SuperHumans Life I agree with you, I would have to do my own research on what legal structure I would like to start with, but without customers, I do not think it will worth investing in anyway. I would rather start as a freelancer. The problem is that all those portals/big companies pay very little for an experienced Interpreter. they do not care if the interpreter is highly qualified or not, I am working with one now and get paid literally on the clock $0.28 per minutes. That is how much we freelancer get paid unfortuantely. It is frustrating.
@@SuperHumansLife Thank you so much for the prompt response. Can a freelancer do direct assignment/contract with customers without forming any company or legal entity?

You have mentioned so many wonderful platforms... and I feel I need a little more advice from my new RUclips guru!!!! 😊🥰💙 blessings from Miami, Fl. Georgina
This video is sending the message that anybody who can speak more than one language can translate. WRONG! Knowing two languages doesn’t make you a translator, any more than having 10 fingers makes you a pianist. Translation is not just about knowing languages: it requires skills and knowledge that come with specific education and training (and experience further down the line). Let's please stop giving the impression that anybody can do anything as long as they create an online account and have a basic skill of some sort. Let's instead send the message that most jobs - if not all - can be performed if we put some effort into developing the right skills. Let's promote a culture of education and professionalism instead of a culture of improvisation for "easy" money.
Dear Martina, I love your comment and I could not agree more. If you’ve watched any of my other videos you’d know that I am the last person to promote any “get rich fast” schemes or any “make money online overnight” jobs. I totally agree that skills and practice of said skills are key to being successful in any job. That said, there are many people out there that are native speakers of multiple languages AND have the skills to translate. Also, the quality of the services they deliver will ALWAYS determine how many jobs they get and how successful they are. So while I see your point, I would not go as far as to make such comparisons as you are suggesting.
Thank u so much for this video. I speak 5 languages , i'm a student and i have a lot of needs , i didn't find a good job that's why i want yo work from home

Hi I am looking to become a phone interpreter between the languages English and Dari. I have a certificate from a 60 hour training I did. I applied to many jobs but I am not geting any responds. My question is the websites you provided are these also for interpreters to apply.
I work from home now, but would love the freedom to travel and work. Also there are so many times is really rather not take calls. I wouldn't mind working on others stuff without have to talking to anyone.
Hello there! I came across your video to know how freelancer actually works. Im trying to figure out my future career and not sure if I should maybe work as a freelancer or something with translating? I speak norwegian, danish, vietnamese, english and working on my german :) (I have a culture background if you wonder how) I want to hear you opinion of what I should do and is freelancing much easier then workers with translating?
hi there. my personal advice is to figure out and get clarity on WHAT you want to do and then decide if you do that as an employee or freelancer. That clarity is key. Because even if you have great skills, if you are missing your intrinsic motivation to keep going and push through in times of struggle, you will end up disliking what you do and give up probably. Hope this helps.

Grazie in anticipo e buon lavoro :)

Thank you. That is so kind of you. It is my pleasure to serve you all. As far as starting a company, I would recommend you talk to a lawyer in Texas. He or she would be the best to advise you. What I would suggest though, would be to start freelancing first on your own and build a customer base.
Drop me an email if you think I can help you more
@SuperHumans Life I agree with you, I would have to do my own research on what legal structure I would like to start with, but without customers, I do not think it will worth investing in anyway.
In many places yes. But you’d need to check with your tax office
Hi I am looking to become a phone interpreter between the languages English and Dari.

You are very welcome. Thank you for stopping by!
I'm trying to break into the biz. I speak over 40 languages, not fluent in all of course. But lately, I've been running into brick walls, be it native speaker requirements or sheister customers sending me bad checks. Any leads?
Can somebody explain to me why on Lionbridge and Rev I can only find jobs in which u have to physically be in remote places of the world?
Italian, russian, english, french, spanish, portoguese , sign language(learning) and I'm learning arabic
I live in the cold climate, winter is long and I prefer to work from home. My native language is Russian. I m already working as a freelancer interpreter for Can Talk Canada. I want to apply for other jobs too to get more work.
Thank you for all your information! You have a gift 💙 I love your accent and the peace you transmit as you are explaining everything... feel so blessed I found you! I have been a Mathematics teacher all my life (I just retired at 62) - loving taking care of my 88 year old wonderful father ... but I need an extra income to pay my monthly bills ... I speak Spanish & English fluently - which platforms do you recommend I start looking into? I will probably have 5 hours a day to work on the job. Can you please guide me? You have mentioned so many wonderful platforms... and I feel I need a little more advice from my new RUclips guru!!!! 😊🥰💙 blessings from Miami, Fl. Georgina
Georgina, this totally made my day! I am so blessed to be followed and watched by wonderful people like you
This video is sending the message that anybody who can speak more than one language can translate.

@@SuperHumansLife Hi again and thank you for replying! It definitely helped, and made me realize what I felt was missing in order to know what I want. :)) Thank you very much, and hope you had a good day ^^

hello i was born in ny from parents from dominican republic so i grew up speaking , reading , writing , translating spanish and english. i would read english letters for mom and translate them simultaneously so translating is easy for me. and im looking to work from home because i run an animal rescue from home and it would be nice to not have to leave and work from home.
I speak Spanish and I want to have a beagle so I don't want to leave it alone for hours and translators make good money.
I know Turkish, French, English, Dutch and German and am learning Spanish
Wow. That is impressive! Well done!
Ciao Laura,
Grazie in anticipo e buon lavoro :)
I speak English and Spanish 😊🙌
BTW I have a question, If I am 17 years old, can I use any of these platforms?
I can speak English,Arabic and French so I think that translating will be a good deal
Same goes for me
which one would work for Europe /Italy thanks for your content!!
There are always new jobs being posted and some can be done from Europe. Just make sure you monitor and apply to the ones that fit your profile
I speak, read and write in Russian as a 2nd language. I want to work from home because I can't wear a mask for long at work.
I get you ;) Hope you are finding ways to leverage this skills and hope this video gave you some ideas.
