The reality is that Canada's substitutes dominated Uruguay, at times Uruguay couldn't hold the ball for more than 10 seconds, the Canadians largely dominated the game, they just lacked a little experience towards the end of the game to consolidate the result. A bit like what happened to Argentina in the final against France, only that Argentina was more effective in the penalty shootout. Well done Canada, you deserved better luck.

Also Alexi you sound very hurt that Canada did so well. Canada had the harder group then the US and made it to the semis taking out 3 South American teams. Also dominated Uruguay in the 3rd place game. No matter what you think on how they did it scoring not a lot of goals doesn’t matter cause they actually did it. Give Canada the credit cause if they did not get to the semis then Concacaf would be seen as a joke. At least they represented Concacaf well unlike the others.

Agreed it was a horrible cup in terms of format, referee and turf. However disagree in keeping copa america smaller. The bigger the better. Lets make it a 32 country event including all americas lets make it more exciting and important. South American can have a Conmebol cup in addition to Copa America just like the Concacaf cup.

Moedean, LoL, you don't even seem to realize that Uruguay got dominated by Canada's B team, including their back-up goalkeeper. Coach Marsch decided to start these players in this 3rd place match, simply to give them more experience in preparation for when Canada will co-host the 2026 World cup.
Luc de Fougerolles on defence is only 18 years old & had hardly ever played for the National team before. Most of the other players were between 22 & 24 years old.
Grow up with your "stink" comments!
