Such a great interview. I’m a single lady who’s r in retirement is on my horizon. I’m seriously thinking of moving to Cuenca but I don’t want to leave the states alone. So informative! My family is in Mexico and that too is an option. Thank you for reminding me of their laid back attitude! I’m not as patient 😉
Awesome story and experience! Lot's to gather from this for new expats
Lojas is my type of place. When I move there, I plan to perfect my Spanish, eat what they eat, and basically leave my US customs behind. My wife is Venezuelan and will enjoy a place where we can assimilate into the culture
She is such a happy person, who would argue with that.
I live in Ecuador 25 years. I love it.
Sometimes someday I might learn spanish
Quito is the same super nice people, generous
Thank you kindly for this, I'm literally about to move to Loja, I've been searching and searching for some insight and this is exactly what I needed at exactly the right time.
+Jack Janner Glad it helped! If you haven't already, grab a free booklet on moving abroad at: www.ExpatKingdom.com - Best of luck on your move and keep me posted!

Love Loja….such a beautiful clean city.
❤ She seems like a wonderful genuine woman
What a story! About the kidnapping. Mom knows best! I'm glad you were safe.
Hope you stay in Loja. Congrats in your lifestyle. My envy and sympathy to you.
This young Lady has learned that you don't go to a country and expect the locals to adopt, it is you that has to adopt..
One would think people who move to the states would think the same way.
the main reason she had such a positive experience in Lojas is she speaks the language. Speaking the language is key
You bet Ana - glad you enjoyed it!
Glad I found your channel! Mrs. Fouts has great advice. I will check out both websites.

Bruce Couch II Thanks!
Expat Kingdom Your welcome...im trying to find the best airline route to Loja... can you help?
Bruce Couch II I am checking with Lily for you... stay tuned.
Expat Kingdom thank you so much
Bruce Couch II Hi Bruce! Sorry for the delay in my response...I just got back from a conference. You can fly directly to the Loja airport from Quito or Guayaquil (and I've used Delta and American Airlines to fly from the U.S. to Ecuador--they were both fine). Guayaquil has cheaper flights to Loja than Quito does, especially if you avoid flying on Sundays and Wednesdays. I recommend looking at www.google.com/flights to check for flights to and from Loja (airport code: LOH).
and if you find Bad people. ARE FROM OTHER COUNTRY, BUT NOT FROM LOJA
Yes mostly Venezuelans Colombians or from Peru
Where is Bucha Bomba?
I agree with your comment..I migrated to the USA when I was 15 years old, I most say, it was difficult to learn English but I did it.
It is Vilcabamba, 40 minutes south of Loja.
excuse me but your information at 75% capital gains taxes is Completely WRONG!!!!! please verify your information before you give this type of information. aside to that the video is cool
I believe that immigrants to the US should do the same, learn English.
