For those retiring in Ecuador for its cheap cost of living....don't just go and live there and enjoy the things your country can't offer...but also help our country. In anyway. Help its people help its environment.
Cuenca, Ecuador is one of our favorite retirement destinations due to its low cost of living, beautiful Spanish colonial architecture, and affordable health care. We will be covering it in full detail at our upcoming Live and Invest in Ecuador Conference! More info here: www.liveandinvestoverseas.com/cmd.php?ad=678395
My friends just rented a completely modernized beautiful view apartment in Cuenca for 375.00 a month!!!! I live in Loja Province and pay 200 a month for a gigantic 3 BR 3 bath house with 3 acres of Garden with fruit trees and vegetable garden.. Your quotes are ridiculous.. the people that pay this much for housing in Ecuador are definitely NOT getting the real deal but are getting Gringo gouged..Food for two should also not cost 200 bucks a month.. Buy local and dont shop at Super Maxi.. dont eat out all the time .. One can easily live in ecuador for a 1000.00 a month .. Ecuador should NEVER be a purely economic decision.. EC is a land of magical and spiritual wonders tradition and history.. if you dont speak any spanish.. please don't go!! Too many Gringos over there already who do not speak the language and who are being very rude to the locals.. Ecuador is a land of plenty .. but it is also a sacred Earth and if you cant respect the people and the Land.. Do NOT go to Ecuador..
It is NOT the lowest cost of Living country in the Americas!!! Bolivia and Guatemala a lot cheaper.. also Peru.. But the housing costs are very low in EC.. I just found a 115 year old Quinta with 4 BR and 2 baths for 300 a month all inclusive in Cuenca !!!!
