    Can you elaborate on the following,
    Why cant the Ma3 Wing run Mode 2? Will there ever be that option?

    I can't get two MA3 onpc's that are on the same network to connect to each other. Is there something I have to do in order to get two computers to talk to each other?

    I use a lof or Resolume Arena for video mapping led fixtures, is there an option as it was in gma2 to input art-net channels to gma3? If so can u please give me some clues? I already tried hard:)

      @MALightingInt  4 года назад

      You can use an Art-Net Input in grandMA3 as well as in grandMA2. This is all done in the Art-Net menu.
      Please have a look at the respective manual chapter, you can find here: help2.malighting.com/Page/grandMA3/dmx_ethernet_artnet/en/1.0/art-net
      If you have further questions about this, just contact your local distributor or the MA support directly via support@malighting.com. We are very happy to help you.

    i succesfully connect to the 2 port node to the onPC software.Both sections are green but the network node section says "connected" but not "slave". I am currently trying to get a fixture to respond to the program but without success

      @MALightingInt  Год назад

      Connected is correct. This was renamed at one point, we wanted to get rid of the word slave. The best would be to contact our local support to see why your fixtures do not respond. So we can help you in the most efficient way. 👍

    I'd like to use MA3 with an older tablet PC I have but it refuses to run because of the requirements. I can tell by running it on other machines and monitoring resource usage that needing 4 cores just to run the software is absolutely preposterous. Is there any way to bypass the requirement wall?

    • @MALightingInt
      @MALightingInt  2 года назад

      Sorry to hear that the software is not running on your tablet. So in general we distinguish between minimum and recommended requirements. If you hit the minimum requirements you will get a warning that you do not hit the recommended but you can still run the software. But if the software even does not start, it means that some specifications do not match. This might be the graphics as well....so it is not necessarily based on the processor. Unfortunately there is no way to come accross this.
      Don´t know if this helps, but maybe you can use this tablet at least with the webremote. So you could use it to control the onPC software, because you have the full amount of features available there via your web-browser.

    My default IP address on my Grand MA3 2 Port Node is something like: "10.01.02." and I am unable to change it. Is this a problem? Also, on Software Version 1.6 I noticed that once connected, it the line item no longer reads "Global Master" and "Slave". Instead my Node is listed as "Connected". Is this normal for normal operation?

    • @MALightingInt
      @MALightingInt  2 года назад

      Hi James, did you make sure to deactivate DHCP on the ethernet interface of the Node? And yes, "Connected" is normal - we changed the naming from Slave to Connected.

      @@MALightingInt thank you.
      I just realized my Node is a 2Port Node and not an OnPC 2Port Node.
      Will that be an issue?
      My setup is:
      PC (Desktop Computer) > Ethernet Cable > 2 Port Node > DMX Cable > Lights
      I read that I might need a different model of MA Node (more specifically the “OnPC 2 Port Node”).

      Hi Adam, could you maybe provide some screenshots with your network settings to our local support? www.malighting.com/training-support/support-request/
      Then we can figure out what is going wrong here.

    Can i use the command wing with my New Macbook Pro with a USB Dongle?

    • @MALightingInt
      @MALightingInt  4 года назад

      Yes, you can use the command wing on your Macbook.
      MAC Books have USB-C Ports with different Bandwidth. We recommend to use the right front one. Also we recommend to use original Apple USB-adapters.
      Please also have a look at this thread in the MA Forum: forum.malighting.com/thread/3682-usb-c-adapters-for-macbook-pro-models/

    This video is very helpful and I thank you for uploading it. Yet I am incredibly disgusted with the whole software design / ux! The big device costs 65 k €. And I have to close and reopen a window to refresh its content? WTF!?! The button to turn on the connection is designed so big that you could see it from the moon without glasses. Why can’t you just build in a refresh button? Sadly the overall quality of the software is just like that and gives beginners a very hard time. Everything is unintuitive and as cryptic as possible - on purpose (software as well as the according manuals)! Very poor performance. I admit that I have to come here because I’m forced to work with these devices. For myself I would NEVER get any MA products ever (and will surely not recommend them to anyone).

      Hi, thanks a lot for your feedback and sorry to hear that you are not completely happy with the software. The refresh problem should be fixed meanwhile😉Regarding the other points we would love to hear your concerns. If you get in contact with your local distributor we can arrange a talk and see where we can improve or maybe help already. We always appreciate any feedback and are happy to support.
