  • Hi my name is lucia, welcome to my Allotment Journey. My 10 meter x 14 meter plot is based in Buckinghamshire, zone 7.
I am still very new to growing and only acquired my ( very over grown!) plot late 2022. This is my first full growing year on the plot.....not been the greatest weather wise.
    PLEASE SUBCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL.
Last week wasn't a great week for me on the plot. But I'm hoping this week is a better one going forward. And maybe this is a sign not to grow Tomatoes or salads!! LOL.

I did do that, lol for some reason there is one random plant the ants aren’t touching. Maybe they are saving that one

Looks like a fox has made his bed in the lettuce .Get some plastic forks Lucia and pop them with the tines face up in between the plants and pop peppermint oil on cotton wool in the beds . Everything else is growing .If you create a wigwam round any tomato plant and wrap a piece of cheap fleece round it it will at least give them a chance . Sorry your not feeling it this week xx

Not if you use soil conditioner to grow your tomatoes in, which is what killed the tomatoes in the wig-wam raised bed. Seeds sown directly into the soil conditioner will not grow either. Soil conditioner is supposed to added to soil or old multipurpose compost at a rate of 3:1it's not meant as a growing medium, tells you that on the bag it comes in
