Malcolm on rhythm guitar is the unsung hero, what he is doing in the background puts him up there with the greatest
Nearly 200,000 people packed into this concert. There was actually some homes reporting property damage due to the ground shaking when the crowd was jumping. From what I read, it even registered on the richter scale as a small earthquake. Insane concert.
I believe it!!! What an audience!!
Actually were 220.000 souls in 3 concerts
8:13 You can look it up yourself. Just type in AC/DC in RUclips. It's not rocket science 🤣
Argentina, the best fans in the world!!!
👍
They are old they are hardcore, may not be the same band they once were, but that crowd tells you all you need to know about ACDC.
Nothing but respect.
I was in my teens in the late 70's now i'm 58, to this day when i listen to AC/DC so do my neighbors
Yep, same with my old man. About 6000w pushing 8 15s in the cabinets up front, 4 12s in two cabinets in the back, 6 mids, and 2 concert horns on the big cabinets up front w a few tweeters in the back all shoved into a 20x40 basement. Had to put plexi in the door to the garage, blew the glass out.
Used to be shelves full of vinyl and books of CDs, now just runs it with a computer with 100s of gigs of music he's put together, might be into terabytes by now. It's a few drives worth of data.
Same bro lol I’m 33 my horse even rocks. When they come on he has to run lol he gets fired up
"AC/DC" is an abbreviation meaning "alternating current/direct current" electricity. The brothers felt that this name symbolised the band's raw energy, power-driven performances of their music.
After Angus and Malcom's sister mentioned it to them!
Not sure if she mentioned it to them or not, but it was on her sewing machine and they liked the sound of it. She also suggested Angus wear the school uniform
In Australia they are known as Acca Dacca
@@boggy6694 yes their sister did suggest it, the original band members talk about it in this short documentary of the beginning of their career. ruclips.net/video/ia5j0IJvyS4/видео.html
@@bernadettelanders7306 Thank you so much for that link. Just watched the video and it was awesome. Wish it was longer. Frustrates the hell out of me when people say they aren’t an Aussie band because the majority of the current lineup weren’t born here. This explains perfectly why they are. Thanks again.
I’ve seen them twice. Best shows ever. The crowds are epic
I went to this concert in their hometown!!!
It was so gooooood I cried myself to sleep!!! Front row!!!
I've been watching that show again and again today.... that must have been one hell of a show!!!!!
LIAR
Liar
I thought a couple of the members were Scottish
@@duncanmillar9411 Original line-up was Australian (including Angus and Malcolm) - The line-up changed over time. The singer, Brian Johnson is English... comes from just up the road from me - Newcastle area. Bass player Cliff Williams is also English.
Drummer Phil Rudd is Australian.
Angus and Malcolm Young were born in Scotland - but the family emigrated to Australia in the 60s. They were naturalised as Australians when they were kids so were Australian when they formed the band.
I'm 57, it is the greatest generation of music out there, what a time to be alive, hands down! 👌💯🥴👏👏👏🙂🌟
"that boy at one with the guitar...." Hell yes !!!
Angus and his band mates are in their mid 50's when they were at River Plate. It is nice to see such a young crowd that enjoy their music.
The stunning thing for me is that Thunderstruck was released in 1990...and even then the band was already getting pretty old. So, to be able to sell out a stadium with this song two decades after that is extraordinary. And as for Highway To Hell, I mean that song was released in the 1970s (when the original lead vocalist was still alive), yet most kids have heard it somewhere.
So the two guitarists are brothers Angus (the madman that you love) and Malcolm Young, who formed the band. Malcom's nephew Stevie Young (64 years old) replaced him on rhythm guitar a few years ago, when Malcolm got ill and subsequently passed on. The fact that these okes were still releasing music and touring in 2020 is ridiculous.
1991..
Pura pasión argentina . El mejor publico del mundo
can you imagine performing on stage in front of that many souls OMG gotta be the best job in the world
This was their best concert!
They are the best 😍😍😍😍
4:24 It was about 200 thousand fans. They are about to bring that damn stadium down 🤣. There has been concerts held outdoors that had millions. Now that is crazy 🤣
AC/DC stands for alternative current and direct current.
The name was found by the elder sister of Young brothers. They were searching for a name. She was using the sewing machine when she saw AC/DC and told them what about use that name ? And they both like it .
Especially playing electric guitar !
"Let there be rock" live at River Plate has an amazing solo by Angus Young. You will absolutely love it
this live is so epic!
You’re absolutely correct saying AcDc are Australian, but this lead singer is Brian Johnson who is from Newcastle England.
Bro I worked security at a ACCA DACCA concert and their fans will shake the ground beneath you, surprised the stadium didn’t shake apart 🤟🤟
It's even more amazing when you appreciate that at the time of this concert Brian Johnson (singer) was 62 - Angus (Lead Guitar) was the 'baby' of the band at 54 - Bassist, Cliff was 60 - Rhythm guitar (Malcolm) 56, and drummer Phil Rudd was 55.
Then look at the crowd - pretty much all in their 20s and 30s.... Getting their boots rocked off by a bunch of old geezers...
Malcolm and Angus Young. Their sister seen AC DC on the back of her sewing machine. And that's where their name come from.
There's not a single empty seat in that house.
South Amercian rock fans are next level.
Acdc has always brought it amazing concert and electric crowd
the sister of the guitarist take that name from a vacuum cleaner, i swear this is the real story, bryan johnson(the singer) said that in a interview. That's so crazy !
The amount of talent and energy you have to have to get 100k people to jump up and down and sing your song (not even in their native language) is fking INSANE!!!
Phil Rudd is a machine on Drums ... 😎
Después de ese recital los vecinos del barrio denuncian que las casas se empezaron a romper las paredes por los movimientos que había en el estadio
🎤🎸🎛🎼🎼🎼🎼🎵🎵🎵🎵🎶🎶🎶🎶👍
Angus is 60 or over but they released another album last year🔥🔥🔥🎶🎶🎶👏👏👏 TRUE LEGENDS 🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏👏👏🙋♀️
Will be a sad day when these guys say no more. True legends of rock music
The beginning of this is my number 1 song that always gets me hyped...it never fails to get me so hyped
Fun fact the lead 🎸 and rhythm 🎸 are brothers and co-founders of the band
I was just watching TNT at River Plate about 2 hours ago. Also this was my sons first CD
I've been to a lot of concerts and AC DC in Phoenix is my favorite.
AC / DC are the first four cords of the first song they wrote as a band with the original singer.
There are a lot of theories about the name, but in interviews the band have stated they read, "AC/DC" on an electrical appliance and thought name was cool.
Best video of Thunderstruck
Of any reaction.
Same. The sounds clean Better then any live version
here in australia, acdc is the bread and butter of rock bands. everyone knows acdc
love your energy my guy,
Acdc is history about Angus an his sister sawing machine's letters on the machine and Angus is a malcolm's brother who's playing the guitar. The both brother, which is a the writer of most of the songs.
Tapped the microphone icon on the phone, asked the question. AC DC concert at the River Plate, how many people were there,? Answer 200,000.. have you checked out AC DC "It's a long way to the top, if you want to rock and roll"
With the original Singer Bon Scott (R.I.P. Bon) live on Australian TV..
That will blow your mind..
Rod Stewart holds the record for the largest crowd at an outdoor concert. 3.5. Million in attendance. Argentina. On the beach.
The guy in the blue is angus young, the guy in grey shirrt playing the bass is his brother malcolm... they are the founders of the band...
This was the song they used in the movie Battleship when they were prepping the battleship Missouri to go to war.
AC/DC stand for alternate current and direct current. It’s the way electricity comes into your home in North America and Europe.
If you watch the original Thunderstruck video, you will see unique and legendary camera work that impressively catches the essence of Angus Young on the lead guitar. AWESOME video!! 🎥⚡🎸🎤🔊🎼
Maybe so, but you won't see the unique and legendary argentinian crowd work that impressively catches the very essence of been alive.
Ac/dc means alternating current and or direct current where you could say the energy/ power side is about the band .Been to a few ac/dc concerts around the world all full of energy. Yes the band was formed in Sydney Australia but Angus young lead guitarist Malcom young rhythm guitarist (rip) both from Glasgow Scotland but moved to Sydney when they where kids. Brian Johnson signer was from Newcastle England, bass guitarist cliff Williams was from London England and the drummer was from Melbourne Australia.
I love how the Aussies call them “
Acca Dacca”!
"Bruh that's like 5 millions people 😳!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is Ac Dc greats from Cuba
Love some AC/DC. Crowds were great. Check out Metallica in Moscow. 1.6 million+ people.
dont forget ac dc were there too
As a young man I had tickets for AC/DCs Stiff Upper Lip tour... I didn`t have much money back then, but when a friend offered me 1,000 bucks for my ticket I declined. Never regreted it for one split second. Seen them a second time. And I`m going if an opportunity for a third time arises.
Angus thought it would be cool to write a song using the cords ACDC and wrote the song High Voltage. I'm sure everyone has told you ACDC is about electrical currents.
they love there metal ✌️👍🏴
Ac Dc stands for power ac currency dc currency all power. Thats what they have on stage
Hahaha..."some form of guitar...base and electric....f. It!". I feel u.
malcom saw a sewing machine with AC/DC written in it, so he said ``How about AC/DC for the bands name, that sounds good``
Loved your reaction to one of my fave bands x Because I happen to come by your channel..I subbed x
Queen with Freddie Mercury, could draw a crowd like that and they still do today with Adam Lambert. Don't wait to learn an instrument. The basics come fairly quickly, but the gold comes with lots of playing and time. Go for it!
Angus and Malcolm Young actually born in Scotland and moved to Australia, Brian Johnson the singer is English from Newcastle
Acdc is the power supply
Australian royalty
Love your reaction
You will never know the energy on that gig. Believe me. And of course the consecuences the day after..
I grew up on ac/dc, it makes me wonder how people exist these days that don’t know it…
Great choice. The music video version of this song has over a billion views on RUclips!
Angus yung is all natural no drugs on stage thats his natural way. He is just naturally wired
They were born in Scotland and moved to Australia as kids and that’s where they grew up. The whole Young family are/were musicians. Angus Young is on lead guitar and Malcolm on rhythm guitar. Malcolm was the brains, founding member, and main song writer of AC/DC music. Bon Scott died early on and Brian Johnson had big shoes to fill but he did it and did it great. I’ll post a link to a popular song by their older brother.
Here’s the link to Angus and Malcom’s older brother George Young with the band he founded called The Easybeats. George is on rhythm guitar.
ruclips.net/video/dnqxbdnzlhw/видео.html
I highly recommend "The Jack" from this same concert! You ain't never seen anything like it!
Great reaction!
A whole lotta Rosie, Hells Bells, The Jack all from River Plate
Sean Tyler, AC - DC Changing and Constanting Electric Energy for Capacity and Battaries..
This song was inspired by a trip to Texas, home of Stevie Ray Vaughan!
ac/dc.....means power
Acdc best band ever
I'm pretty sure they got there name off power boxes in Sydney they use to say ACDC I've remembered seeing it on a ACDC doco
I saw Michael Jackson live History tour, and ACDC live many times.
Equally incredible crowds. GnRs were similar
If you really want to experience AC/DC's energy you seriously need to watch Jailbreak Live in Donington video. It's something you will never forget.
Or Let there be Rock. Especially when Chris was beating the hell out of the drums.
ARGENTINA ❤
You have to check out let there be rock from this same concert the guitarist Angus does a 15 minute solo on the guitar it’s wild how good he is
Or the jack for the extra performance😜
@@jacobedmunds8609 yeah both just as impressive makes it pretty easy to give him a list of there good songs when they have never made a bad song I’m from from Perth, Australia im only 31 I been lucky enough to see them twice in concert, my parents used to listen to
AC/DC and now I love them, they have a quality no matter how long ago they actually came out they always sound just as good
Great reaction hombre!!!!! I think you are a closeted head banger my friend!!!!!! You love rap but rock and roll 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸is in your blood!!!!! ACDC is definitely best tasted live!!!! If you got the chops do the song “Let There Be Rock” from the same River Plate concert. Angus does damn near 16 minutes of kicking ass guitar work and a solo in the air. Talk about being one with the guitar like SRV!!!!! Granted it is a longer video than most to get by the censors but the time flys and it’s probably his greatest performance kicking ass of all time. You won’t be disappointed!!!! Just saying!!!! So says Austin Tx. 🎸🎸🎸🎸😍😍😍🥳🥳😎🍸
Hells bells 👌👍
If you haven't, more than likely someone told you, try the crowd with Metallica Moscow 91, Enter Sandman, Over a million people
Queen in Rio had a massive crowd
AC/DC or AC-DC can refer to any device that runs on alternating current (AC) and/or direct current (DC), two types of mains power. (there is an informal meaning to it too lol - bisexual)
Colette too bad that co-opted it for bisexual, they don't know anything. AC would be bisexual. and DC is straight. but it is what is is. took me a few momnents when I was studding Electronics. but yeh AC/DC the informal meaning did stuck.
Shut up. I'm an electrician. Shut up
And if I remember rightly, when they were looking for a name for the band, somebody saw a label on a vacuum cleaner that had the acronym AC/DC, and the rest is history
imagine HAVING TO SIT THRU A MOVIE WITH THIS MOTOR MOUTH...
These dudes are old as fuck by this performance... they were so much younger when they originally recorded and performed this tune. And, they continued to tear the roof off stadium gigs like this for 20+ years after this gig...
Angus young lead guitar for ac/dc old and still plays like he did 40 years ago.
Here is a list that you should try (in any order):
-Let There be Rock - official video or Live at Apollo Theatre - (with Bon)
-Whole Lotta Rosie (Live at River Plate) - (With Brian)
-TNT (Live at River Plate) - (with Brian)
-Riff Raff Live at Apollo Theatre - (with Bon)
- The Jack Live at River Plate - (with Brian)
- Its a Long Way to The Top (If you wanna Rock n Roll) - (with Bon)
-For Thouse About to Rock - Live at River Plate (is The Last song from the concert)
Ac/DC = electric
AC/DC are the 2 types of electricity lol (alternating current/direct current) Back in the Thomas Edison/Nikola Tesla days it was a battle to see which type would reign supreme. Basically this band electric AF 😉🤘🏻
🐐
never heard this song before?? alteranting curent
The dude in the frame at 6:46 looks possessed lol. I like the sound of Brian Johnson better than Bon Scott but a masterpiece they did but we're never credited for is the Powerage album which featured Scott as the front man. Look up Gone Shootin (from Powerage) live with Brian Johnson singing. He did a damn great job on that Scott era track.
You need to watch them do The Jack from this same concert. It will bring a smile to your face.
Angus Young on the black guitar. His brother Malcom on the yellow guitar.
200000+++
It stands for active current ,direct current
it’s not about money about these guys.. they love what they do…
