I've rented one and I have to say, it's awesome. It's so loud though, I live in a small house and I still feel like I'm bothering my neighbors...that being said I really recommend it, it's a lot of fun.
@@thelewis2898 Oh my yes. I didn't realize how loud it would be. I just blew on the mouth piece alone and send my cats scrambling! LOL. Well, I don't feel too bad because some of my neighbors regularly serenade us with their BOOM cars at 10:30pm every night and nobody complains about that. But I hope my good neighbor next door(with whom I share a common wall : duplex) doesn't object to the random goose honking! I'm trying to keep it a secret until I can at least play a tiny bit but that may not be possible! I hope I can have fun with it like you suggest. BTW: I didn't know you could rent-a-sax! I just bought one from Walmart.
Hi Jeremy. I am an adult male 50+ years old who had never played a musical instrument or tried to learn anyrhing musical. 2 years ago I purchased your Beginner Series and started my journey. I am now fairly competent in reading sheet music. I have played in church a few times and played at my father's funeral last month. It's all thanks to your series (and exactly 5 sessions with a teacher to help prepare for 2 performances). Thanks Jeremy, thanks Sax Tuition. You have helped make my dream of playing the saxophone come true. I have a long way to go, but I have a sound (pardon the pun) foundation to build on. I highly recommend Sax Tuition Beginner Series.
WOW!! Your comment was so moving. That had to take so much heart to play for your father’s services. Please accept my condolences for such a profound loss. That was truly a memorable gift you gave to yourself and to him being able to play an instrument that has meant so much to you over the years. My lifelong dream has been to learn the saxophone. I am currently looking around for one myself. I wish you much success and continued reward in playing an incredible instrument. You’ve really encouraged me. Thank you for that. I’m so glad I found this channel. What a blessing. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Aaron I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to get back to your comment! That was such a beautiful story and I'm so glad the Beginner Series has been able to help you fulfil your saxophone dream, thank you for sharing. Make sure to stay in touch, I'd love to hear how you're going!
bruh I haven’t played in almost 5 years and couldn’t make a sound on this sax I just bought. Literally one sentence about cold air vs hot air fixed the problem lmao, thank you
My son struggles with concentration and has Dyslexia but he was absolutely glued to your Lesson 1. In lockdown it is so hard for him to find anything to get excited and proud about but the enthusiasm he brought to your lessons made my heart glow so thanks.
Man, I don't even own a Saxophone...lol..I don't even know how I got here from watching guitar tutorials, somehow I'm now subscribed and motivated to get one. All just because this guy has the definite energy of a Guru.
My son has a family of saxophone, 2 alto sax, 1 tenor and 1 soprano. My husband hired a soprano for me. You are right, its not easy to get soprano in tune but I think learning from scratch would help me. So, your lesson 1 is great. Thank you. I like your exercises. See you again.
Thank you for the inspiration. I dont own a sax yet and have never played any instrument but the sax calls to me. I sure hope I can learn. Thank you for your time good sir.
I played the clarinet in school and have wanted to play the saxophone ever since someone told me that it is easy to learn the sax because they are very similar. I am turning 50 soon and think it's time to cross it off my bucket list. I am not sure if I will get a used or new 🎷
I'm coming back to woodwinds after 3 years tomorrow. Played Clarinet for 4 years, switched to Trumpet and now I'm in college and I've fallen in love with the Tenor Sax sound (particularly from John Coltrane). I'm super excited, video explains everything great!
I played Tuba/Sousaphone from middle school to senior HS. But was always curious about the sax, but never had any opportunities to learn it. Here I am at 32 and about to purchase one. Thanks for the early lessons before I actually buy it.
58, thought I would buy a Sax, as you do. Three days in and your description on how to breathe into the mouth piece has made a massive difference. Just need to find an optimal position to hold the Sax and then I will be getting started. Many thanks.
I’m new to playing sax and found this first lesson so informative and easy to understand / follow. Thank you so much 🙏🏻💜 I’ve subscribed and look forward to learning more 🎷🎷🎷
I haven’t played my Sax in years! And not regularly since jr. high band… this lesson has inspired me to break it out! Thanks for the refresher! I’m sure to be back on the channel!
I’m so glad I ran across your video! My husband played some saxophone in high school but hasn’t played in many years, but I play piano by ear and have always wanted to learn sax, so I unburied his saxophone out of the basement and put it together, but I couldn’t even get a sound to come out other than blowing air 😂 I am laughing at all the things I did wrong after watching your video and look forward to trying again tomorrow to see if I can actually get a sound! That would be a good start lol
I have been playing clarinet for 2 yrs and wanted to make a change so this summer im switching my clarinet for sax and learning before school starts and be ready for band level 2
Thank goodness I clicked on your channel because I was looking to learn the Alto saxophone and was wondering where to begin. You teach so well, making everything look so doable. It's official, I love your channel and will begin my lessons today. I'll keep you posted on my progress. Thanks for sharing.
I'm just starting out playing the saxophone and I really appreciate your lessons, I also play the bass and guitar. I just retired and love and enjoy playing as many instruments as I can.
Best saxophone lesson, i fell in love wirh this instrument by listen to careless whisper by a saxophone, so i am learning some stuff before buying one 😁
A very detailed and informative tutorial video. I have always wanted to learn to play a brass instrument and the Sax hits the jackpot. Thanks a lot for the tutorial.
Thank you so much for these lessons. I love you. ❤ I’m trying to start today.. I’ve played piano and guitar in the past. Any help would be wonderful. Going to make some great videos! If I can figure this sax out! 😅
I don't own a saxophone 🎷 either but I'm going to get one. Especially now that I know theory arpeggios, triads on my guitar. I love the saxophone sound. Wish me luck! Great lessons!
Hi, I play Latin percussions since age 14. Am now 44, and sax has always interested me. I once’s picked it up by myself, but stopped because my sax leaked air. Now that I found this channel, I will try again. Thank you
Some asshole was asking me 100 Euro for 1 hour saxophone lessons. Your video is lightyears in front of that assholes 100 Euro worth or explanations lol. Took a huge dive and ordered a sax (Albeit, a very cheap one relatively.) as I've wanted to play for 22 years. I've played the clarinet for all that time, I was in the school band from years 3-11, so hopefully I can at the very least get a sound out of it pretty quickly! The fingering looks a bit less complicated than clarinet fingering too. They always told me it was easier to go from clarinet to sax than the other way around, so, I'm gonna put that to the test! 😅

Hello, just got an alto sax after 8 years of not playing! So excited I found your channel. Are there any apps that can turn any song or audio into sax sheet music? There is so much rare music I wanna play and lots of the apps don’t have it 😢
