I love the sound of the old 911's. I don't think anything today can beat it. That graunchy, raspy, low-pitched, sonorous thrum of a flat-6 with a carburetor is one of the all-time greatest sounds. It's music.
This is not carburetors, this is Mechanical Fuel Injection, which sounds way more mean then carbs.

Some things are just so visceral that I can't help realize I'll live and die without experiencing them first hand. Having said that, being introduced to it while seeing and hearing is worth the heartache.

Brusco Cappuccino BMW E30 did it in 1986. Porsche did it in 1969. BWM is way behind, Porsche is ahead of the curve.

Sadly, although I love watching the live RM Auctions this particular member of staff appears to be unable to talk in a normal conversational manner. Echoes of Steve McLaren getting it wrong. I much prefer Max Girardo. "All finished, all done".

I Lv my 3.2. It’s been thrashed for 15 yrs and still strong.
No, mag case racing engines are good for 40 hrs race time, and then you throw the case away and start with a new one. Good luck getting 500k out of a mag case bottom end under any driving conditions. The later aluminum alloy cases were much more durable.
My 2.0 Mg case and transaxle fine after 50 years of giant killing.
I think this is all wrong I owned the acropolis winning 911 s reg number BPF 911 H which was featured in car and car conversation so this is a fake
