Hey man...been a huge fan since I was 16...the reason I learned how to play guitar. The lyrics and meaning behind this song are important to the history of the band. This was the follow-up album to DSOTM, which because of the huge success of it, the band felt huge pressure by the record company to put out another huge one...this spawned the WYWH album. The more I learn about the timeline of Pink Floyd, the more respect I have for what they all did for music. I love that there are so many people just finding them for the first time. In fact I am jealous cause I would love that experience again!! Cheers man.

Not being in time is one of the things that makes Gilmour's playing so unique. He slips in and out of the beat and changes up at weird times. That and all the "accidental" notes give a sound that is hard to replicate. It's almost like his playing is sloppy, but it works so well it's just so much more feel than theory.

I have been so fortunate to see Pink Floyd's Darkside of the Moon Tour/San Francisco, Animals Tour/Oakland & recently David Gilmour/Hollywood Bowl. It has warmed this old dudes heart to watch your journey discovering Pink Floyd. Trust me, make On the Turning Away your next discovery. Rock on D. Mont!

Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin set the quality bar sky high. So many other bands aspired to create music of the same quality and that is why the 70’s decade produced so many amazing bands and amazing songs.

Bro, don't worry about nobody talking about bobbing your head. We all have our own way of enjoying our music. You do you - nothing else matters.

My grandma bought me my very first Floyd album in 1969. She was the coolest grandma. She also bought me CCR’s first album. She changed my life in so many ways.

This must be a re-mastered version, there were a couple differences, especially the ending. Glad you're enjoying these.

D.Mont, i love how much you love Floyd. i honestly know some people that don't like them. i still can not fathom how that's even possible. in my opinion, they never did a bad album.
