Thankfully so, he nailed it perfectly. I listened to Roger's and David's attempts from one of the "making of" videos and they just didn't fit, which was weird because they can sing well on other songs.
And if you go listen to some of Roy's other songs, you got to wonder how he sounded so appropriate on this one. It must have been a hell of a recording session
By the time David Gilmour came on board, their sound, while still psychedelic, became more progressive. They really were at the forefront of the progressive sound even though they themselves weren’t a progressive band.
you're a goddamn treat, man! I was in 4th grade when I heard Pink Floyd for the first time. I was the new kid in school and I was invited to a soon-to-be best friend's house. His dad was playing Have a Cigar on their record player. Hooked forever.
Love the iconic shot of Jordan with the game winning shot against the Jazz! Pink Floyd is the Michael Jordan of Rock. There will never be another like them. Unique in their brilliance.
Glad you really like Floyd homie!! That makes me happy, im sure all of us are really happy to see you grow a love for them, ill subscribe, let's get him to that tattoo guys!!!

Yes, every fucking album. I found Pink Floyd when Meddle was released, Echoes and a hit of Orange Sunshine was my introduction. It’s been a long wonderful trip. I as blessed to be almost 70 (3 weeks away) and to have lived an amazing life. Annie
Wish you were here probably some of the best transitions you will hear. That's what you get for not listening to the whole album . But you know that already. :). Pink Floyd = Lifes Soundtrack
The first time I bought "Wish you were here" and listened to that song I thought there was something wrong and took the album back to the shop. I think I was 15. The guy in the shop just shrugged his shoulders and said, "There's nothing wrong with it; that's just Pink Floyd". Excellent memory!
This is great watching you discover Pink Floyd. Glad you caught on that each album is like a journey and should be listened to in full front to back. Next video- start one track one on “The Wall” and listen to the first 3 or 4 tracks. Then next vid do the next 3-4 until you finish it. Might want to pop some shrooms while listening too?!?! Love it..
I love your reactions. You should seriously listen to the entire dark side of the moon song by song reaction by reaction you're going to be so blown away as well as any other Pink Floyd album because it's kind of a story.
This song was my introduction to PF, suuuuch a classic! I had the lyrics memorized that night from listening to it on repeat 😆 You’ll love Be Careful With That Ax Eugene when you’re in the mood for something psychedelic
You know how they do. They rip you right out of this and drop you right into the intro of 'Wish You Were Here' title track... One of their most iconic songs.
Like other Pink Floyd albums when you end the song it begins with another real quick the driving around in the car thing after this song was pretty cool keep rocking
I actually prefer starting over and I am glad that ya do that. It shows that, beyond the reaction, you want to appreciate it and that you want us viewers to also appreciate it as it is intended. I enjoy your reactions too!
Thank you for doing the good work & spreading the gospel of Pink Floyd! My fav for 40+ years. Others simply cannot compare. "Oh, by the way, which one's Pink?"
Been listening to Pink Floyd since about 1970, on Indo it's what i think of the back round music of life, the lyrics are amazing and their concerts were always epic especially Animals and the Wall.
I seen him live twice blew my mind both times seeing them live sounded exactly like the album it was nuts and I'm glad and very fortunate I'm one of the few that got to see them.
I love watching you get into pink floyd! I’ve listened to then since 1970, again and again through the years. Their music never gets old. Ones to react to: Echoes, One of These Days.
Just found your channel mate, and ngl I'm really enjoying your content dude. You should totally do reactions to the full albums of these guys. Of course split them up via multiple uploads but it would be awesome to see!
Hey man...been a huge fan since I was 16...the reason I learned how to play guitar. The lyrics and meaning behind this song are important to the history of the band. This was the follow-up album to DSOTM, which because of the huge success of it, the band felt huge pressure by the record company to put out another huge one...this spawned the WYWH album. The more I learn about the timeline of Pink Floyd, the more respect I have for what they all did for music. I love that there are so many people just finding them for the first time. In fact I am jealous cause I would love that experience again!! Cheers man.
Not being in time is one of the things that makes Gilmour's playing so unique. He slips in and out of the beat and changes up at weird times. That and all the "accidental" notes give a sound that is hard to replicate. It's almost like his playing is sloppy, but it works so well it's just so much more feel than theory.
The only thing I will say to you bobbing your head and having your whole soul captivated and moved in a way it has never been before! I’ll say one thing Fuck Yeah and bro I’ve never had so much fun and found so much enjoyment in watching someone become a Pink Floyd fan and just feel the music! Welcome! And it’s really amazing to see! I’ve been listening to this for over 20 years and I still groove to it and get goosebumps still to this day! Love it! Keep Jamming!
This song really needs to be listened to back-to-back with WELCOME TO THE MACHINE. A beautiful duet of songs about the band's disenfranchisement with the music industry.
My parents use pink floyd for lullaby when I was baby I love watch someone listen it for the 1st time enjoy prog rock . Alan Parsons project , supertramp are in the same vibe
We gotta get you that tattoo done bro! I grew up listening to pink floyd and I love them. Good to see a new generation reflecting on good olskool music and appreciating it as I did when I first heard it👍😎
back in the days of CDs, that had a pause in the track, I went and remastered my own pink floyd collection, removing all the pauses. I also inserted "when the tigers broke free" in to the wall, where it is in the movie.
The reason all these songs have abrupt endings is because they transition into the next song so fluidly the radio stations had to come up with different ways to end the song, hence a lot just drone or fade.
This is the version that has extra 4 bars of guitar solo - which was how the record album I had was - but all other media has not had that. Yup, and crazy ending goes abruptly into "Wish You Were Here"
For new fans of Pink Floyd I explain the band to them like this: I point to my ears and say, “This, is Pink”. Then I point to my eyes and say, “This? This is Floyd”. Lastly, I point to where I hope my brain is and tell them, “Here is where you combine the two and really experience Pink Floyd”. After see and listening to a few videos they too get it.😎👍

U got it right
They're dissing the record company saying that they have control and just sit back smoking their cigars and don't even know "which one's Pink".
Someone understands..
No not the END.. THE ALBUM DOESN'T STOP
The "which one is pink" is reference to when a record producer who was interested in signing em asked em backstage, "which one of you is pink?"
I didn't know that! Thanks
I always saw the line “ which ones pink “ as a way of showing that they don’t even know the names of the people in the band
Listen to the great gig in the sky the vocals are out of this world on it.
Roy Harper is guest vocalist on this track.
And so many Floyd fans DO NOT know this. Crazy.
Watch the doc who's pink? It's on prime very good
@@cpmf2112 Seems hard to believe. It sounds like the song is designed for Roger Waters' voice. I've never heard him try though...
For being a "psychedelic" rock band, Pink Floyd sure could come up with some FUNKY bass lines.
My favorite bass intro riff. Want it put on a 1 minute loop.
By the time David Gilmour came on board, their sound, while still psychedelic, became more progressive. They really were at the forefront of the progressive sound even though they themselves weren’t a progressive band.
Roger waters man...
This is one of my favorite PF songs!
the bass line on the outré on Sheep is right out of the Disco Playbook..
as FUNKY as it gets
