I'm not a fan of Hardly Davidson for a multitude of reasons but I am a fan of the both of you. So good to see not only younger riders but women riding motorcycles is fantastic. Stay safe and keep having the fun you are obviously having and sharing with the world.

Gravel is intimidating at first, but you have more traction than you think. Sounds like a training/practice opportunity in the future. It’ll really come in handy when you moto camp much in the future. You were smart to “ride your own ride.” When you push things outside your comfort level is when things go bad.

FWIW, I’m fine with more touchy, feely motorcycle reviews. All the technical and stats stuff doesn’t mean much if you get on the bike, ride it and it doesn’t put a smile on your face. I think everyone who rides does it because the enjoy how it makes them feel.

Understanding that the front brake is your enemy is the first lesson in riding on gravel. Smooth acceleration, smooth braking, and no leaning should keep you upright.......until you put your foot down and it slides out from under you. Even a very experienced rider can get surprised on gravel.

Lali, This event should be a week long especially given lots of events for us guys run a week or two. You handled the Harley like a pro.
All bike Events are always too short I swear. Just make them longer and if people need to leave early or only want to pay for 3 days or whatever fine.

Those bells have an interesting history. USAAF bomber pilots stationed in Italy bought them, and wore them while flying combat missions, for luck. They are called "Capri bells," and are made on the island of Capri

Loved your video. You, Doodle and Jess are 3 of my favorite you-tubers. The Hawks Nest is my front yard. My wife and I could show y'all some great roads in the area. My wife would have been there, but her work schedule is rough right now.
Oh Hawks nest nice! Is it true that all the cops stake it out for riders on weekends? That was one reason we didn't go
@@AntiParallali they have been out there, but just to keep people within the speed limit. Too many accidents. Had one last week, 2 motorcycles collided. They can't stay on their own lane.
@@AntiParallali Weekends with good weather on Hawks Nest are very bad. Tons of sport bikes come out and treat it like they're on a race track plus lots of cars filled with sightseers clogging the place up. Always accidents and lots of cops on weekends.
It's fairly close for me and I go over to ride it during the week. It's almost always empty unless somebody's filming or doing a photo shoot for a bike or car advertisement. That's why the road there is always in such good shape compared to other roads in the area.

Okay I just wanted to say that I truly love your videos 📸 I am also subscribed to Doodle before I saw your vlogs. And I was always wondering who is Lali? Now I know who she was talking about. Just a kind word of advice. Do Not depend on your phone as a proper GPS system. Always have a dedicated motorcycle GPS. The reason being is because cell sites aren't the best in the suburban areas. We're as a dedicated GPS navigation system is. I have a daughter who also drives with her mother. And I gave them the same advice. And they were so thankful that I told them what I was mentioning for you to do. I found out the hard way about not having a real GPS navigation system. And I had to backtrack myself to find a major road in the sticks. Anyway good luck and keep up the good work 😊

That looks fun Lali. Glad you had a good time. Now with regards to the HD Sportster, would you really consider swapping Spicy Boy for that? I have ridden an MT07 and loved it. Never ridden an HD, and it would be very unlikely to appear on my shopping list even if I was rich. I know you have owned a couple of good "real" bikes, and have ridden HDs too. So honest opinion please. Am I wrong to be predudiced against Harleys? And I am asking from the point of view of someone of small build, and not very strong. (I am about 5'6" male aged 67 years, had a bike license for 51 years).
Oh no...not swapping. I LOVE the MT07. The Sporster S would be his cousin or something. "Spicy cuz' " would be his name, or something like that 😂. It's just a slightly different feel. You ever just feel the need to take a chill ride, and clear your head, stop somewhere in a park... that's what I think of with the Sporster S. MT07 is more "bike night, hypeeee, WOOO let's fking GOOOO!"

Great job Lady's!! And I know dropping a bike can be embarrassing, but, ITS HAPPENED TO ALL OF US AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER. I always get tickled when people say they never have dropped their bike, some tell the truth, and some lie and say they never have had a drop. Anyway, don't live in fear ya'll, like Jerry Palladino says, "learn the proper techniques and any bike can be handled with the ease of a childs toy". Be safe ya'll

If you want to turn your bike around in a narrow or tight area, just get off it and push it back and fourth until it is turned around.
I dropped my FZ-07 once now since I installed the crash bars. It was a cold wet Rainey day and I went down a steep grassy lane to get off the road and out of the wind to find a place to relive my bladder. I had the bike turned around and headed back uphill but some how dropped it just as I got it turned around The crash bars did their job for sure. Plus I am going to mount running lights on them.
Great video Lali, as always. Hoping that my wife can make it next year. Also, try the nightster and maybe a few others if you like the sportster S, never a bad decision to check out other options if you feel like a Harley may be in the future. Keep up the good work and stay awesome.
What a fun looking weekend... Glad more women ride and make friends at events like this, they look far more entertaining for newer bikers and far more inclusive for all bikes than most bigger events like Sturgis or Daytona

@@AntiParallali Both of you did (do) great. I must say that you two seem to posses a ton of courage. When I was a teenager - and about your height and size I found riding my cousin's KLR650 to be a scary and difficult thing to do.
You are both so petite, tiny and feminine. Seeing you saddle up on the rather big bikes that you do makes me respect you and it also amazes me.
Remember to always be safe and never allow yourself to feel too comfortable.

Great video.. I’m hoping to make it next year. The event is pretty much in my back yard soooo there is no reason not to... Hawks nest is a pretty ride but Jess is very right. Saturday is not the best day to be there.. when I go it’s usually during the week. They lowered the speed limit a couple years ago because to many people were getting hurt with all the cars and bikes going to fast and doing stupid shit up there. That’s also the reason there are so many cops on the weekend. I hope you and doodle enjoyed riding the roads that i am lucky enough to ride everyday. Hope to see you next year..

I'M KIDDING!!!!!! Everyone, including strong ass dudes has dropped a bike or three, and (coming from dude that's height challenged) it's MUCH better to be safe than sorry. Being an old-er guy, I think it's Freakin Awesome how many girls ride now and it's especially cool how many ride even if/when they're guy doesn't ride👍

I am not disappointed with you or Doodle, but I do hope you both will practice with heavier bikes and give yourselves the benefit of doubt. With your riding experience and friendship. pushing each other to overcome difficulties should be second nature. I know a thousand people (men) told you how to turn a bike around and drive up gravel. I would hope to see either of you doing a video on maneuvering on gravel and up new inclines. I have faith in you Ladies.
As for Babes Ride Out, Thank You! As I teach my Lady this summer to ride, I am hoping she wants to participate next year. Not just for the comradery, test rides and night life fun, but for the learning experience from all the Ladies that love to ride.

I grew up on the PA side of the river. You missed out not doing the hawks nest. It is really fun and on those HD you wouldn’t be doing much more than 35mph anyway
