I love how for '24 there's a factory installed performance package with ZF Sachs Dampers, front and rear Brembo calipers, for only $1,500 extra on the premium model, and $2,000 on the base model (since they have to upgrade the base 17-in wheels to the premium 18-in wheels to fit the brembos). I found a minty genesis coupe bk2 with only 24000 miles on it. I bought it as soon as found it. I wanted a manual but as I let me ex borrow my motor as she doesn't have one this one with the 7sp auto was the better bet. It's so exciting to live in the same time as this car. I have a 76 Celica GT that I'm working on storing and a GR86 would look so good sitting in the garage right next to it. Love all I have for this car.
Truer words were never spoken. It is more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. Cornering speeds in this car that will have you laughing out loud with enjoyment would feel like parking lot speeds in a GT3 RS.
As always great review Joe! Some of your younger viewers probably had your reference to Campbell's um, um, good. As my reference to your Ipana smile putting this sportscar through it's paces!
For those of us who drove the great sports cars of the 20th century this looks and sounds like a worthy successor. If the tires are chirping on take off you don't need more horsepower. You don't need a 200mph engine if your average drive is less than 100mph. I can well imagine that this is daily driving fun for those who want the classic sports car experience.
Love this and all your reviews! I wish I ran into you when you were at the LA Auto Show! I'm trying to decide if I want a new GR86 or a used C7 Grand Sport for my fun, second car! I love them both but just not sure which one will make a better, fun, weekend car with the occasional grocery run (and road trip).
People don’t buy cars for driving experience anymore . The people that do buy Camaros and challengers . The fact is that most people are either buying reliable grocery getters , or buying a bmw just for the badge .
owned a blue 2013 brz manual, I love that car, I even upgraded it to a nicer exhaust, upgrade the tail lights, carbon fiber steering wheel, and a aluminum shift nob that is 1lbs heavy. absolutely loved it, sadly I had to give it up this week because it no longer has a place on where I am in life, I needed a more practical car as a man in my 30s living on my own in a city. And I've been thinking about it over and over, and finally did the sale. overall though, I still had a blast driving my Brz, loved it when I could take HARD turns and many cars couldn't keep up haha, now seeing these newer ones or expensive in my opinion. maaaaaybe ill get another one....but I feel like that experience is good enough. one day I will return and buy a rear wheel drive stick shift coupe
I was just curious, did you get Paint Protection Film put on your vehicle? I should be getting my GR86 in about two weeks and i still have to sit down with the salesman and talk packages etc for the car. Paint Protection Film is one of the options i know he will wanna ask me about, but i don't really know if it's worth the price.
I would definitely get the extra coating on the paint. I live in Florida and I wish that I had done extra coating on mine. You don’t have to get it done by the dealer . I would compare pricing.
There is one exactly like this one on my local Toyota dealer's lot. If someone other than me buys it first, know that the 50-gallons-worth-of-drool option package was supplied by yours truly.

What a time to be alive😂.
Naturally aspirated/Manual Trans. That car right there is made to LAST. great review
These will be remembered as the last ones.
Get a Camaro SS, Mustang GT, or Corvette, anything V8 will hold its value considering the borrowed time they are on.
@@joel6513American cars are shit and gas hungry.
Joe you could not be more right about this perfectly balanced little road-burner. Too much power would spoil the fun in my opinion.
I always have trouble getting out of the car. Not that I can't, but I just love those seats :)
I like what you did there!
I use to HATE the way the FRS looked, but this is so sleek! I would love to own this with this color.
These cars are great and the most bang for the buck out there. & you still don't see these on the roads that often.
People don’t buy cars for driving experience anymore . The people that do buy Camaros and challengers . The fact is that most people are either buying reliable grocery getters , or buying a bmw just for the badge .
Or maybe they are buying fuel economic commuter cars
I just ordered one - I'll be picking it up Monday - I'm very very happy = can't wait to "give it the beans" as Sarah-N-tuned likes to say !
That is so fantastic Charles!
I love the 86 but unfortunately I’m a bit too big. If I wasn’t it would definitely be on my list.
Do a review on the 23 kia forte GT , Test drove one of them in a manual and I will say it surprised the hell out me , great bang for your buck at 25k
What a blast of a car. It wears that color really good too.
Awesome car man i love it 💪💪
Joe you're Awesome my man keep up the good work 🙂👍👍
From that Sebring Orange Grand Sport to this Orange GR86 in a matter of minutes! Keep up the good work!
Love my 2022 premium mt. Eats corners for breakfast lunch dinner and a midnight snack
agreed driving experience means so much more for normal street driving that just 0-60
Love taking corners on my auto BRZ! Beautiful car worth every penny! Except markups😅
Thank you for the vid
This feels like a real drift car. Reminds me of my civic si.
Great review. You got a new subscriber.
This car is what the Supra should be. Even the front looks like a Supra. I would definitely buy this instead.
The new Supras are disappointing. Way too expensive and a little corny looking .
look up oil pressure dropping issue at the track
I like it cause I'm small person, but I've heard people talking about the con, which is the RTV
The RTV has been brought up but that is not as common as you think.
owned a blue 2013 brz manual, I love that car, I even upgraded it to a nicer exhaust, upgrade the tail lights, carbon fiber steering wheel, and a aluminum shift nob that is 1lbs heavy. absolutely loved it, sadly I had to give it up this week because it no longer has a place on where I am in life, I needed a more practical car as a man in my 30s living on my own in a city.
Why didn't it fit your needs any more as a single man in a city? It's small, light, 2.5 seats. Did you go bigger? Smaller?
I was just curious, did you get Paint Protection Film put on your vehicle? I should be getting my GR86 in about two weeks and i still have to sit down with the salesman and talk packages etc for the car. Paint Protection Film is one of the options i know he will wanna ask me about, but i don't really know if it's worth the price.
I would definitely get the extra coating on the paint. I live in Florida and I wish that I had done extra coating on mine. You don’t have to get it done by the dealer . I would compare pricing.
In the uk when this car came out all stock was sold out in 90 minutes I don't call that underrated
There is one exactly like this one on my local Toyota dealer's lot. If someone other than me buys it first, know that the 50-gallons-worth-of-drool option package was supplied by yours truly.
I really hope they ditch the boxer engine and put the 1.6L 3 cylinder turbo from the GR Corolla in to these soon.
The car would need to be redesigned for that engine. It is too tall to fit under the hood.
@@RaitisRides Interesting. They may be redesigning a version of the engine because the rumor was Toyota wasn't happy with Subaru after the issues with pushing these cars on track led to starving the engine of oil
@@DM72513it will be interesting to see what happenens

Does it have brembro brakes? What if you already know how to drive. What sports car would you buy?
Joe, just came here to say I appreciate you taking time from your busy schedule to like and comment on comments.
I don’t miss a new review and your videos have helped me make wise car buying decisions. Now, can you do something about these high interest rates?!
Yes. Vote for Trump.
Did I hear "leather condom" for the key fob? That's hilarious!
