    1. Can please tell me how often do over seed in the fall? Only once? Or twice?
    2. What is the best month to over seed in Fall? We do get know in November-December I’m in Oregon, Klamath Falls high desert.
    3. How long do you wait before I mow lawn after over seed in the fall?
Thank you, answer to my questions would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏼😊

      @@hedhntress1 thanks for watching!
Once should be good. Best time to overseed is beginning of Fall. Now is a great time. Don’t mow until your new grass is about 2-3 weeks post germination.

Yep it’s a pain. Pulled out all summer long. Now I’m spraying a good killer on and see what happens

I have birds eating my seed every time I overseed. Any advice?

BB gun 😂 jk. You can rent a compost/pete moss spreader from Home Depot or tool rental company for about $30. Cover the seed with a light coating of compost or Pete moss. Should keep them away from the seed

Do you suggest dethatching every single year?

I do at least once per year. But usually fall and Spring. But yeah once per year is probably more than enough.

Is it too late to do this now? In Utah

@@sbdc83 you want to look up the average first frost date in your area. See how long it takes your seed to germinate, then add about 30 days to that. If you’re close to that frost date you’ll be good. If not, then it’s probably too late.
