    Great content as usual. The harvest gang will probably never have as good an experience as the time they have spent working for you, and will remember it long into their working career. Work is not a job when you love what you do.

    When I first started in the industry I was put under the tutelage of a chap called Tony Naylor. He used to deal with your father who he’d always shout “Pecky” down the phone when he answered. They used to do great business together….that was 30 yrs ago 😳🥲

    Thank you for the update James, I think an open day would be a really great idea, Its a real problem these days getting parts for anything, gone are the days that the dealers would stock loads of parts, just all down to price etc, thanks again James keep up the good work

    As someone has already said. Wardy's Waffle in the morning followed by you in the afternoon. makes great Sunday watching. I am stagger by AGCO and their replacement part issues. The unnecessary down time is frustrating beyond belief 😐. I would imagine John Deere would be jumping up and down trying to convince you how much better their part replacement set up is😉

    Your drivers, interest in the welfare of his cultivator comes across very well. It is application of horse power that’s effective. If only every driver cared in this way, the investment and maintenance of ground engaging tackle is horrendous compared with the tractor. Thanks for interesting vlog.

    Very Technical channel if your not into farming, but i understand most of what you say as i was farming for a decade 1979 -1989, sadly a lot of big estates round here have been sold off or broken-down from 10,000 acres to 5 000 or less , love farming and hope all UK farmers get all the support they can. PS , i have had this problem with parts from Germany not France and my argument was why not have a parts warehouse in UK, makes sense.

    1. Who’s is the toy tractor that was on the back seats in the box :)
    2. When job vacancies come available do you look for a certain amount of experience or would you take on a newbie to the industry/farm?
    3. Can I help during harvest 2025 on a chaser? And no I don’t have experience
    4. Where did you get the stainless steel draws from that are in your office?

    Thanks for the updates on the business, very informative, your telling it like it is and the way many of us from farming families are thinking, where is the food to feed our children and grand children coming from ?
    Getting food from abroad is not ideal when UK farmers are paid to produce nothing but what happens if the supply lines are cut. Farmers need to be paid for the production of food, shoppers need to pay more for food, supermarkets should not be calling the tune, sorry rant over.
    On the question of an open day, yes please, would willing travel to that.

    A little bit of doom and gloom in this one. Red Diesel- unfortunately that is the law that HM Govt changed. Even tractors should have their fuel changed if it was on agri going onto non agri work. There was a notice 75 that gave the can and cant's around rebated fuel. I don't know if that was updated. Let down with the parts supply as well. Quite surprised to hear this. The ole Terrano looked like the insides of a Piano at times. That was some hard looking soil!

    Can I ask why you run the big Volvo cabs when your needing to get maximum pay load, yes I know you have to look after the drivers but you could run the Volvo FM with the small fixed axle that would really give you maximum payload and if drivers don’t like them you could them more money to drive them because that’s what the working man wants.

    • @Pesmog
      @Pesmog 14 дней назад

      Look up a Horsch Joker. Its a different type of cultivator that uses discs. You would typically use it on land that needs a second cultivation to make lumpy soil into a finer tilth suitable for drilling with seed. It can also be used for first cultivations in some circumstances. Having two different methods of cultivation available gives farmers more options to allow for differing soil conditions and weather. 👍
