I am in depression since i came back from thailand to UK. I will go there and live stress free rest of my life next year.

we live in a rat race in the 'west'. I am happy for you that it is still possible to enjoy life in a relaxed environment like Thailand. I'm secretly jealous of that😊. You have worked a lifetime so you deserve it. I still have 20 years of work ahead of me, I'm curious whether it will still work out😓

I love Pattaya and Thailand and not for the girls, I travel there with my wife , we’re 59 and 56, been married 38 years , been travelling to Thailand since 2005, my wife is retired I still work. We come over for a couple of months Xmas New year time until mid February travel around a bit but always do some time in Patts. We love entertainment, music and the people their fantastic, what a place 🍺🍺🍺🍺🙏

I'm at an age where It's nice to have the 'adult entertainment' side available but it's not a major part of the whole package.
Weather, food, costs, people having fun & smiling, ease of travel in the region, not getting wound up by 'our' f*ckwit politicians etc etc are all just as important for me to be trying to get my ducks in a row to make the move.

Nice interview Webby my wife and I met you in Sevens in Jomtien a few weeks ago.I totally agree with what you said about when you move here,as you do have a bit of a panic on when you do a one way ticket.You think to yourself what the fxxk am I doing.I just had word with myself and told myself just execute your plan and get on with it.We are into our fourth month here and you do spend a bit getting your condo into shape but settles down and you can live really well here.We love Jomtien nice balanced pace of life and everything you want is here.My daughter and my teenage grandchildren are coming for 3 weeks at Christmas.I will have to keep my 15 year old grandson on a leash lol.Enjoy and hope to see you out and about soon 🍻👍

Well done fellas. I wish I did that at 57. I just didn’t know about it. I do know, I have the income to do it, no ties here in U.K. , I live alone but I’m 70 yrs old!! Buggered now! No one could have an easier move than me. Get rid of my accumulated junk, and go! Sorted! I am dependant now on my monthly prescription haul from my local pharmacy, I am gutted! Look after yourselves fellas and enjoy yourselves and for Pete’s sake, stay there! Thanks for the vid.

After 17 years of visiting Pattaya I've only ever spent one night in Jomtien. It was very quiet and underdeveloped back then, but I understand the draw for somewhere a little less frantic than Pattaya. But I know Pattaya like the back of my hand and totally enjoy it, but could I live there? Yes I'd move tomorrow if I could, but I'd not rule out Jomtien either 🤔

Looked into this there are condos that allow small dogs and it's not to expensive or to many hassles to get a dog to Thailand but it's a very big hassle and very expensive to get a dog back to Australia anyway if you can't handle the heat and humidity which believe it or not a lot return home at about the 5 year mark
I said the same till I got sick and couldn't afford the exorbitant hospital bills and had to move back to the UK with the good old NHS.
That's the only way I'll go home
I guarantee that the majority of guys who come to live in Pattaya will return to UK for one reason or another. Mostly lack of money, or loss of money, or relationship issues. I had nearly 20 years but had to return after my job disappeared because of COVID. So i fully understand people saying i will never go home but you need real discipline to stay the course and even then it's difficult. But great channel, i like the honesty and i wish everyone luck who's giving life a go in the city of dreams.

Loved the video… No mention of how amazing the women are in Thailand. Stop making excuses on why you can’t go to Thailand, make an excuse to go and live life. Sensible stuff indeed. Money - For someone on holiday you’ll be using cash. Get a small zip up wallet and a money clip. Because back home you have become weaned off cash. So easy to drop it or allow someone to get you flustered.
Take out only what you need
An ATM costs around £4.50 per transaction. Wise is excellent, get your card delivered before you leave
For cash, always TT Exchange, look for the yellow booths. Enjoy 🙂.
Great video. I started going pattaya in 2005 the glory days it was crazy back then. I have been going thailand ever since i was lucky to hook up with a stunning thai lady in the uk for the last 14 years. I still travel back to thailand shes easy with that. My take on pattaya is its No 1 in thailand, and i have been everywhere in thailand.. The only downside is the beach isn't great. it's dirty and polluted. I wouldn't swim in there. Plus, it is not a healthy place to live tbh. That's the only downside. A close second in hua hin, it's just a bit quiter than pattaya but its a beautiful laid back area. But pattaya for me ha!

I have the feeling that you two are over 50 but still young in your mind. Maybe you didn't party much in your 20-40 and you have the feeling you have to catch up.
I am over 50 as well and have spend most of my life (until 40) in parties discos and even if sometimes i like to have party in Pattaya as well, I don't really need it anymore and sometimes need it more quiet and (sorry) smarter.
Sure things are different if you live there instead of just making 2 weeks of holiday but I actually changed my mind from when i was young with the idea to go retire there to now where I am ready example to accept a job for 1 years with possibility to extend it.
Anyway, it is strange that you want to party but get a gf. Why stay with one when you could have all??

About the "just go", well, i was just chatting on a famous thai dating site and seeing what the women told me, the idea to cancel my trip crossed my mind. Maybe i should not play dating sites and "just go" even if i know it will not be much better than in the dating site.

I've lived here 4 years now I would never say never go back uk, you certainly will if you have a health issue, I'm covered with AXA, but not fully insured because of age over 65 you will get most things covered except cancer related issues, so yeah great life here but my tip is don't live like a tourist, healthy lifestyle and exercise, enjoy !!

I don't think you made a mistake in your first 5 months not wanting to know people. Better to take things at your own pace rather than trying to force things as otherwise you'll end up meeting all sorts that you'll probably regret down the line. Looks like you've found your feet in your own time which is the perfect approach IMO. Good content as always taff!!

I am 50 this year, planning to retire at 57. I am booked in to visit in Oct/Nov for 5 weeks for a retirement 'tester' to see if its something I would like to do once i finally get to retire.

Can you gamble online in Thailand and are there any bookmakers online where you could have a flutter on the horses or football.. All you need would be a big screen to watch the racing have a we bet online as a pass-time it could bring in customers for the bars.I did at one time think about settling in thailand but never had enough but things can go wrong if you have the money thats fine but you can be ripped of by those who will charge you more when you need help. I am now over 65yrs and would be happy to live in a warm climate in Europe.

Pattaya is a great place but I think you get bored and don’t take up enough activities to fill up your time hence the drinking. After your health scare I thought you would calm it down a bit but then again old habits die hard. Truth hurts I suppose and you never know tomorrow.
True don't hurt at all mate, I'm just being honest, firstly I don't want to keep talking about a poor guy who is dying it's called respect, my home country is Wales where I gave family and a house and everything else, if I want to come back to the UK I will with my head held up high and say I had a great few years, I still fill tax returns in for the UK and pay my way not like half the UK anything I should be sorry about, it's funny how so many people judge people they don't know

UK isn’t great to live in and Thailand is wonderful in terms of food, weather, sports and social life. Just don’t diss and cut complete ties off where you are from as one day you may need their resources and it may not be your choice if and when you do. You are the one that says I shouldn’t drink because of my health and then portray or go out on huge benders. You had a serious health issue last year when you fainted and could have died and where did you end up going for help in recovery? I don’t think you stayed in Thailand for the whole of your recovery

Well I'd never sell my house but Steve and a lot do sell everything what you need to think about the interest on your money if you sell your house should be enough and dip into your money as,and when, thing is it's,hard to say because we are all different hope that helps

@@bikerforever68 My brother lived in Jomtien for three years. He rented his house out in England and had a pension. He told me his budget was £1900 a month. I visited him and he had a great apartment with pool/gym and all that stuff available. He lived there not holidaying so had one big party day a week with all the trappings that nearby Pattaya provides. Rest of week he was sensible, ate out every day, few beers but nothing crazy. Everyone is different but he had a great life there. He's in Indonesia now.
I have a good private pension which I don’t intend to touch until I’m 65, the house profit will see me through comfortably to that point.
You never know when your life will be ended after 60 years old. Referee might whistle any minute. Dont delay your dreams, specially after 60 . I will sell my flat and go to pattaya to live 1700 pounds a months for 20 years. ( who knows i will make it till 80 years old ? )
