F16s are one solid piece of engineering. Love how it litraly LEAPS into the air off the runway, fantastic sound of the F110 in afterburn as it shreads the armosphere. Oh and the paint job is becoming her sleek body.
Wow! I love the P-51 Mustang in the shot at the start. Could you imagine that big bad F-16 Falcon rising to meet any WWII foe?! I bet that would have been something! :D Lovely!
At the beginning of the video- That P-51 in the foreground is the one that crashed at Duxford after a midair with a Skyraider. The pilot bailed out and survived.
@TheFr3sh1 Simple and easy as pie: Have you noticed those little "rockets" mounted onto the wing tips? They are smoke generators burning a low viscosity oil upon activation to create a huge amount of dense smoke. Such devices are used to do skywriting or also skytyping!
Agreed - funnily enough, it cropped up on a TV program about near-death accidents earlier in the year, and Rob Davies (P-51 pilot) confirmed that the A-1 was out of position during the break manoeuvre - whether it was officially his fault or not I don't know :)
It's the best F-16 vids I have so far pointing the outrageous growling power of the afterburner! The air show 2008 was less succesful than the one in 2006 because they have transmitted so much radio publicity. And, according to this, the entire area was much more crowded than two years before, so I didn't get a good view, and some nearly acceptable footage.
I don't know which is the most beatiful painting scheme. This one or the new one, whole in orange. I need to find this decal sheet in 1/72 scale. Thanks for the great video!
@PangeaSpreads The F-16 was designed from the start as a multi-role aircraft. It was a cheap piece of crap to throw at the Soviets. The concept is that heavier F-15's use more fuel and need another engine to have more power during dogfights; you can drop the same bomb with a single engine using less fuel. Thus we have the F-16, a fly-by-wire jet with 1 engine, meaning if you lose the engine, you can't manipulate the flight controls and thus crash. "High tech." -F-16 Crew Chief
The first announcement is in german the second in english. The first announcement is that the plane is an f-16 of the "konlijklijke luchtmacht" der niederlanden. In other words an f-16 of the dutch royal airforce.
@tonyt73 I just saw something special: When you pause the video at 0:05 you can see the handwriting saying "Big Beautiful Doll" on the right side of theP-51 Mustang's engine. Gees, I uploaded the the video three years ago and never noticed it!
@SupremeLevelEnt This is not fake dude, fighter jets have something called afterburners which is like a massive boost and consumes a lot more fuel. It is something pilots really only use on a high-g dogfight and taking off.
I live near L.A.F.B. in Va. see them all the time. Now the F-22 take off on the east west runway get a few thousand feet up and then make a 90 deg. turn to the right pointing the tail pipes at my house, A bit noisy but its the sound of freedom. D.
Nice Video!!!
@7722993 Thats WAAAAAAYYYYY too slow for the wings to burn off! A space shuttle can do it with ease, it is partially covered in a reinforced carbon-carbon shield. These orbiters travel at a speed of 17'400 mph when re-entering the earth's atmosphere at an angle of 40° causing the wings to literally glow red-hot!
Well, from the video I saw, it looked like it was more the Skyraider pilot's fault since he was coming from behind and broke the formation too close to the Mustang. So, hopefully his new P-51 doesn't meet the same fate.
Obviously the morons that are calling this fake have never seen, with their own eyes, what a F-16, or most any of the modern fighter-aircraft are capable of. Even knowing what they are capable of, and seeing these craft in flight, it is still amazing and 'almost' unbelievable what they are capable of. What the REAL limit to what these planes can do is not do to the limits of the plane... but to the physical limitations of the human body of the pilot.
@cryteeek Keep the following two important things in mind: #1: I appreciate helpful corrections when errors are detected! #2: I do NOT want any assault on my channel or else!
Just thaught i should put out there that they are not aloud to full afterburner the engine as when it breaks the sound barrier glass will be broken and ear drums will be blown.. just thaught i should tell you that and trust me... if that was full thrust you would not have been able to hold the camera like that
@PangeaSpreads I'd also like to point out that a 15 pilot can manipulate his flight controls manually; a fly-by-wire 16 can't. If the F-15 loses both engines, he may be able to glide to relative safety. When a 16 engine fails, it's going down. You get 3 seconds from the hydraulic pressure accumulators to move your flight controls (to steer away from houses and shit); after that, it's rigor mortis all the way into the ground. That's one reason why, as an F-16 mechanic, I say it's a piece of crap.
Pretty good filming considering the speeds, especially while zoomed in.

you wouldn't say it's boring if u have seen one take off on person.......it is truly amazing!!!
Nice Vid ! Its great having people post videos without a crappy music overtop of it.The sound of the engine is music to my ears.
wow,the Take off and,the in side loop was very impressive!
I would donate a kidney to go on just that one ride. That is absolutely incredible!!!
I love the way they make your whole body shake on the ground while take off at full thrust.
Wow! I love the P-51 Mustang in the shot at the start. Could you imagine that big bad F-16 Falcon rising to meet any WWII foe?! I bet that would have been something! :D Lovely!
*whew* Was getting dizzy with all those loop-d'-loops. There's no end to my love of watching jets.
Gasp...Big Beautiful Doll is sitting there in the beginning. I miss that P-51 - the best paint scheme ever.
At the beginning of the video- That P-51 in the foreground is the one that crashed at Duxford after a midair with a Skyraider. The pilot bailed out and survived.
I love that paint scheme.
Nice video. I like the sound of fighterjets. (volume > up) Favorited.
Woah P51 at the beginning :D My favorite plane.
@TheFr3sh1 Simple and easy as pie: Have you noticed those little "rockets" mounted onto the wing tips? They are smoke generators burning a low viscosity oil upon activation to create a huge amount of dense smoke. Such devices are used to do skywriting or also skytyping!
I really liked that livery

Confirm! I was c-a at that time on his homebase(Volkel), and i confirm that the t-o is FULL AB/reheat!!
That's Ralph Aarts, callsign Sheik. The best dutch pilot there is. great vid man, only a bit short though.
@boondocksbob i totally agree..the raptor is huge! even tho it doesnt seem like it and the pratt & whitney f119 engines give you one hell of a roar
Holy shit F-16's are amazing pieces of machinery.
You guys that a saying its this and that... you have to admit it IS a hell of an aircraft.. in the right hands its deadly as hell!
@SupremeLevelEnt Au contraire, mon chère! 100% GENUINE!!!
By the way: Cameras NEVER lie!!!

At first sight I thought even the missle at the wingtip was turned on to provide extra thrust...LOL
F16s are amazing I love them (and f22)
I don't know which is the most beatiful painting scheme. This one or the new one, whole in orange. I need to find this decal sheet in 1/72 scale. Thanks for the great video!
Done way before you advertised me to do so!
Although that guy's apparently got a new P-51 now - he lives only a couple of miles from me :)

GOD i LOVE that SOUND!!!!!
Truly AMAZING!!!!! To Soling 2005 they can do a lot more than then that!!!!!!!
Well there goes $10,000 in gas
Solo Turk. Turkish aerobatic Pilot. Soon the Turkish Stars will convert from the F-5 to the F-16. and this will be the Star of the show.
So fast friction on wings caused them to burn like cigars !
@MrVolcanoes22 No, you heard "Königliche Luftmacht" in german, which means "Royal Air Force".
You can see F-18C shooting at Axalp swiss air show.
@SupremeLevelEnt This is not fake dude, fighter jets have something called afterburners which is like a massive boost and consumes a lot more fuel. It is something pilots really only use on a high-g dogfight and taking off.
awesome pilot and cool paint man. i would love some info on this guy and his team
Generally they do have afterburners a full chaff when taking off !!
Just imagine, they put two of those engines in the F15.
If you ever look at the sky during the day and see two lines going well into the sky, well i guess thats what these f jets do.
Some fine American engineering right there...
I live near L.A.F.B. in Va. see them all the time. Now the F-22 take off on the east west runway get a few thousand feet up and then make a 90 deg. turn to the right pointing the tail pipes at my house, A bit noisy but its the sound of freedom. D.
what is the paint scheme on that, it's stunning the Dutch are best when it comes to making an F16 spectaculer
@MapleLeafAce it depends on how much light there is
so glad the dutch are using those planes in air shows. thats what they are made for. air shows. nuetral air shows.
That feeling when a sonic boom hits you straight in the chest
Nice Video!!!
I thought the MISSLES on the wings were pishing the vehicle instead of the afterburner
that is intense!
It can also blend.
Thanks!
See, this is why the fly-by-wire and auto-pilot were invented. Cause pretty soon, you'd wind up grabbing the wrong joystick.
Wow. 900,000 views. And I met you playing minecraft xD
@Bandicoot803
... and the Malboro Man
there is an engine.. with wings.. that happens to shoot rockets.. be amazed that we can even do that..
haha Davies is being nice about it. If it were me at the stick I'd be flipping him the bird the whole time I parachute to the ground.
Score one for General Dynamics.
takeoff checklist: "V1...Rotat-nevermind, were already at 1000ft."

@iraaado Sorry for that, it was not easy keeping the beast within the frame while it tore everybody's eardrums to shrapnel.
Were you expecting it to fire a few rounds of ammo?
@SupremeLevelEnt you just cant hold the camera as still as he can
@hellcatdave1 It's an F-16.
Great plane
what a sexy jet. I wish they'd let us paint ours all cool
sorry but no that was not afterburners on full, it is mearly a unrestricted climb followed by areobatics.
f16 of Holland! yeaaah
the best!
@wa51mmm1 I wish I knew who flew this plane that day...
@Bandicoot803 before it was swatted out of the sky by a Skyraider about a month ago... :(
@Bandicoot803 Are you positive this is a F-16?
It looks more like a F-2A Viper..
I see no afterburner.
Didn't really expect to unless it was an old runway they didn't want anymore.
Well, from the video I saw, it looked like it was more the Skyraider pilot's fault since he was coming from behind and broke the formation too close to the Mustang. So, hopefully his new P-51 doesn't meet the same fate.
is there any point to afterburners? besides the fact they look cool?
Does the F-16 have the most thrust of any aircraft that has ONE afterburner?
I don't think it was on afterburner on takeoff. If it was, there would have been a massive flame at the back.
@razanet16 Count with 700 litres per minute! The oil companies approve that!
@hellcatdave1 Pretty sure it's a F-16!
@OmnipotentTechnique7 Yep! German and English!
Hey, is 2021.

@reindenaab Very cool thanks!
That's a lot of thrust.
@Bandicoot803 I think you need to appreciate sarcasm!
@cryteeek Keep the following two important things in mind:
#1: I appreciate helpful corrections when errors are detected!
#2: I do NOT want any assault on my channel or else!
Thatttttt is just some sweet shit right there! WOW!
Just thaught i should put out there that they are not aloud to full afterburner the engine as when it breaks the sound barrier glass will be broken and ear drums will be blown.. just thaught i should tell you that

Keep your kidneys, they last a lifetime while a ride on an F-16 is a short-time matter!
@SupremeLevelEnt how the hell do you even get fake out of this
look at the wings flex from 0:38 - 0:46
see that shit 35 times a day everyday lol not bad
My cat climbs like that if you put vinegar on it's ass
@Pringles352 u don't like F-16 ...u out of u mind !! ??
is it really nessesary

@SupremeLevelEnt and how is this supposed to be fake ? i dont get it, its an F16 doing maneuvers ?
After hearing that shit night and day for a year in Korea I can't believe I watched this.
@Bandicoot803 Okay, well it's hard to tell the difference...
