I recently watched uxwbill's video about an Aztec Labs 2320 Sound/Modem Card playing the well-known audio file "Onestop.mid", where I got the crazy idea to compare the difference by lining up his and a modern version of the synthesizer output on each stereo channel. Totally surprizing that no sync drift occured, and it doesn't sound that bad at all.

*whew* Was getting dizzy with all those loop-d'-loops. There's no end to my love of watching jets.
The drive pulley on the motor has a slight spherical surface which "centers" the belt by its own tension, a technique commonly used on other appliances where flat belt drives are used for noiseless operation. The axle diff only provides its natural flat cylindrical surface providing the necessary grip to support the belt. That's how I keep the whole assembly "on track"!
What I had in mind for building this transmission setup was a nearly noiseless operation! And it was only a just-for-fun project. Worth trying it out, though.
You can see it simply catches the outside of the stock diff. Also I dont think that is a belt, but a slick tire :-p I dont realy see advantage of this system because you cannot regulate your teeth count this way. But I like people messing aroun with this kind of ideas :-)
