Tom Papworth thanks for the great videos and sight-seeing trips you covered in Iloilo and the Guemaras Islands. It will be an interesting aspect of your work and effort if you could cover the Calinog River Dam after it's construction completion in the year 2023. This Water infrastructure i considered to be the biggest Dam outside of Luzon in the Visayas region. It took 50 years to have this Dam into reality fromit's conception!
The last cave you went to is in most people's night mares! Bats, spiders and the sound. Awesome vlog!!! So excited to visit iloilo and guimaras on march!
Jill Velasco - Haha. Caves are definitely not for everyone. I've talked to a few people about this place and they were quick to tell me that they wouldn't go inside! 🙅🏼♂️🦇 Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe.
Marcky Democrito - I thought the same thing! How hasn't anyone vlogged there before? Such an amazing place to explore - I'm glad I got to document the adventure and share my experience.
Hi Rom! Thank you for making this awesome video. Im a local of Dingle. Im glad that you visited our place. Its really a great place to check out. Not much tourist go there and its great that you made such a beautiful documentation of our place. Hope you can make more of this. Kudos! 😊
Today a new huge Jalaur River Dam is being built. The new Jalaur River DAM in Calinog will rpeplace this small Dingle Dam that provides water irrigation to rice farms that boost rice production. the new Jalaur River Dam will add another 38,000 hectars of water irrigation and 80,000 CUBIC Meters per day of Potable Water to the growing Towns and Cities in Iloilo province Plus a 6MW of electricity.
Henry Mercado - Thanks mate. Bulabog Putian National Park is a 'must see' when visiting Iloilo. It's truly a hidden gem of the island. Nister was an amazing tour guide - So in tune with nature and knowledgable.
nikki lastimoso - Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. That’s so cool that you know the guide - When you see him next please show him the video and pass on my regards 🙏🏼
Thanks for the comment! Visiting the caves was an awesome experience. The natural beauty of the National Park is breathtaking. I'm glad I got to share the experience with the world - Stay tuned for more adventures!
JAYSON GULA - Thank you for watching. I’m glad this video helped you prepare for your trip. Make sure you take your camera and document your experience - I’d love to see your adventure. Feel free to share this video with your friends. Have fun and enjoy the beautiful caves ✌🏼
We went there for our high school field trip back then. Part of our trip is tree planting and those milipedes you saw actually produces acid if you crush them and has hard outer skin thats why when we touched for the first time it feels weird. It was an exhausting trip going to the top of the mountain.
Frozen In Time - Sounds like an amazing school field trip. No doubt you were exhausted by the end of the day! We're there many people there when you visited? I couldn't believe that I was the only one there.
+Tom Papworth by the way, be careful when visiting remote areas, there are probably be rebel groups residing in those areas. I think you should bring a companion with you that knows where to go not go for your own safety. Thats a heads up from me😊😊😊
Wowwwwwwww Tom.. Thank you for Exploring Panay Island... I'm from there.. PASSI CITY... That was nice.. Going an extra mile touring the Bulabog Putian National Park... I have not been there... But I am thinking og heading there next time... Yayyy nice trip... Thank you 😍
Thanks for visiting my hometown! I used to visit those caves way back in '90s, since it's just a kilometer (or 2?) away from the place I lived before. Salute to you for featuring these awesome caves. 🙌
I felt like I was watching a travel show on tv with you as the host! great narration! I like this style of vlogging like your talking one on one to your viewers
mariebel andrio - The Jeepney ride was awesome. It's a mode of transport that everyone should try to experience when they visit the Philippines. You live in a beautiful part of the world 🌿👌🏼
Thank you so much for this video 😍💖 Been working here in Saudi for a year now and seeing this video just makes me feel so good to see my hometown and all the memories it gives me back home plus the tropical feels I really missed 🏡.Plus the airial view was just lit 👌 I'm so like Ohhemmggee!!! 📷📹It was just so awesome!!! ❤ looking forward going home this Jan. and visit bulabog putian again ^^. Lea Carbonilla - Thanks for watching. I'm glad my video brought a smile to your face. I really enjoyed my visit to your hometown - Such beautiful scenery and friendly people. Feel free to check out some of my other videos and don't forget to subscribe for future adventures ✌🏼
I'm amazed how you can understand Manong (local word for big brother) Nestor. Glad you enjoyed the park. I've been there once for a school trip and had so much fun. It's usually during the summer when the locals go for a hike there that's why you didn't meet anyone. I'm glad to see that you chose places not usually featured by other bloggers.
+connie grace rafol - Wow! I actually didn't know the meaning of the word 'Nestor'. That's just how he introduced himself (it makes a lot of sense now) - Thank you for explaining this! I also think the wet weather was putting people off visiting the National Park, however I was surprised to see no foreign tourists there. They seem to be everywhere else regardless of the season.
+Tom Papworth you got it right. His name is Nestor but as a local I would call him Manong Nestor (big brother Nestor) as a sign of respect to someone older. :) Yes, the weather is a huge factor. It's slippery and muddy. Most tourist wouldn't want to get dirty. lol Glad you didn't let the weather ruin your trip! Weather was horrible last January and only cleared at the end of Feb.
It's a pity more people don't explore what Iloilo has to offer before rushing off to Boracay. I'm so glad I spent some time looking around and finding these hidden gems!
Tom Papworth Tom you should visit my hometown in the North, San Rafael, Iloilo...its a town sitting in a plateau on top of the mountain rangés, zigzag roads, fresh air, just relaxing and I always feel at home. Many locals don't even know that town exist but believe me many of us landed in the US and many went back to retire. I will never trade my quiet, peaceful abode in the mountain to the mountains of Colorado and the plains of America. Thanks for visiting our islands and hometown...and yes Iloilo is underrated when it comes to tourism, Cebu is a propaganda...Iloilo is the last strongholds of the Spanish Colony and American influence. You must have seen so many mansions and old historical houses and church there. Don't forget to explore the whole Panay islands, including Antique, Capiz, Gigantes islands and Sorsogon islands, and yes many more islands that many of us locals never even explored...
My town Passi city is closed to Mount Puti-an between the town of San Enrique and Dingle town. at the back of our house in Passi City you will have a clear and vissible view odf Mount Puti-an. This mountain made of white limestone rocks show it's white limestone rock color as those mountai rocks surfacesees , vegetation and tress does no grow there. In the early years of the 50's the Town of Passi gets it's potable water supplies from Puti-an mountain spring and pipe down 25 kilometers from mount Puti-an spring ali the way to Passi Town.
robotech - Thanks for watching. I actually explored Guimaras Island the day before I visited these caves. Check out my channel for the video and feel free to subscribe for future adventures. No matter how long the flight takes, trust me when I say the Philippines is definitely worth the travel! 🏝🙌🏼
Hey Tom, while your in Iloilo province you should try to see the Gigante Islands in the town of Carlis. Very cool islands, white sand beaches and a secret lagoon surrounded by cliffs and seldom have foreign tourist except for a few locals.
Thanks for the suggestions! My favourite thing about these videos is the conversations I get to have with the viewers. I'm getting so many awesome ideas for my next Philippines trip! Cheers mate.
Believe it or not I never been to Dingle, and yes awesome caves, never knew it exist. You should checked out our first inhabitants of that island, Aetas in Nagpana, Barotac Viejo...missionaries are helping them out. Its the town North of Iloilo.
Yes especially in small towns ... so naturally beautiful ! Enjoy exploring sir👍👍👍 i want to send a beautiful pic of a beach ive been last october but cant send the pic here😑
I'm from Iloilo and I used to read Dingle like you did. My cousins laughed at me so I exactly know how it feels. I sounded more foolish since I'm a local. lol great video, btw.
connie grace rafol - Haha! I knew I couldn't be the only person to make that mistake. When I first told the guy at the Jeepney Terminal that I was going to "Dingle" he had no idea what I was talking about. When I showed him a map, he laughed and said: "I think you mean 'Ding-lee' 😳😂 Thanks for commenting. I'm glad you enjoyed my video - Don't forget to check out my channel and feel free to subscribe ✌🏼

It is just sad to see some vandals on some cave walls, plus the authorities there are not strict when it comes to protecting the species that lives there especially the tarantulas which are often subject to poaching. Some people are not disciplined enough to live and explore nature peacefully without damaging its resources.
Bulabog puti-an was more cooler now men
I’ll have to come back soon and check it out again. Thanks for watching ✌🏼
No problem it has cement pathways now so you can climb the mountain not using to much energy
huge spiders
They were pretty big but, considering the size of some of the spiders we have in Australia, I wasn't too scared - Haha. Thanks for watching 🕷👌
