Only a small section was bumby, the rest was good! Loved seeing all the beautiful landscapes throughout the island now we want to go back to explore them properly!
@@SusieinthePhilippines my family roots are from there, Makato, Aklan. Enjoy your stay and hope weather is fine in Boracay for it is now the Amihan wind.
They need to build a railway line that encircles the whole of Panay island along the coast. It would cover Roxas city Capiz, Iloilo city, Kalibo Aklan and San Jose de Buenavista Antique. That would be great for commerce and tourism for the island of Panay.
By the way , the hotel that you stayed in Iloilo City , Injap Tower , the owner is Edgar "Injap" Sia who happens to be the founder of Mang Inasal. The very 1st Mang Inasal is in Robinson's Carpark in De Leon Street , Iloilo City.
Susie, You are the Eva Gabor (Hungarian actress) of the Philippines and Your husband is Eddie Albert. Exploring Your own Green Acres. 🥂🍾🥐🥖🍫🧀 Green Acres was an American sitcom, from 1965 to 1971.

Fa-ahhhrm Living is the life for me!… No, NY is where I’d rather stay! …I just adore a penthouse view…Dahling I love you but give me Park Avenue.😝 Susie loves the city but nature more…so they are both the Eddie A character😉
Now I want to cook whole wheat pancakes. I hope your baby is safe with that bumpy road. I didn't know they have a different dialect in Aklan. You have such beautiful teeth. Do you go to a Dentist in Nueva Ecija to get teeth cleaning?
Enjoy your tour of Panay Island. By the way, when are you due, Susie? What does the ultra sound say? Boy or girl? Praying for a safe and pleasant delivery of your baby. God bless!
Even though I was born in Bacolod, until this video was released, I had no idea that Iloilo is just a quarter of the Panay Island and there are 3 other provinces in it. 😂 I thought that Aklan and Boracay were part of Iloilo somehow and Roxas was just another municipality of Iloilo. 🤷🏽♂️😂
Haha honestly I didn't know much about the area either before this trip! But turns out Panay Island is a whole "mini Philippines" with all different kinds of landscapes. Would love to go back to explore the less touristy parts next time! I learned that Antique even got beautiful mountains and rice terraces!
@@SusieinthePhilippines. Actually, Iloilo was the last Spanish capital in the Philippines because it was known as the Royal and Loyal City of Spain. Martín Delgado led the revolution on the island of Panay, and the last Spanish regime ended here before Iloilo officially joined the Philippines. Before this, Iloilo was part of a short-lived state called the Federal State of the Visayas, with Iloilo City as its capital. This state included not only Panay Island but also Negros and Cebu. Iloilo was once the second most important city in the Philippines, next to Manila, and was referred to as a second-tier city and the Queen City of the South. Before, the term “Visayas” originally referred only to Panay because the people of Panay came from the Sri Vijayan Empire and settled on the island. It is also believed that the name “Panay” came from the word Pannai, a city in Sumatra where their ancestors originated. During the Spanish era, the island was interchangeably called Panay or Visayas, as both referred to the same place. However, during the American period, the short-lived Federal State of the Visayas, which included Cebu and Negros, led to the broader use of the term “Visayas” to refer to a region or group of islands. Eventually, this designation was extended to include Bohol, Samar, and Leyte. Thus, while “Visayas” originally referred only to Panay, it later became a term for a region or group of islands.
