- In this episode of Let’s Talk, Melissa Kruger, Jackie Hill Perry, and Jasmine Holmes talk about how they fight against discontentment and envy. Because we live in a fallen world, we have to face the fact that life often won't be what we expect or desire. But it takes discernment to know the difference between just dealing with life's imperfections and sinful discontentment. Melissa shares a change in her own thinking that transformed this battle: "What shifted is I recognized I have a heart problem, not a circumstance problem. So, that changes how I fight the battle. I realize, I'm going to be fighting this battle with discontentment my whole life, but I fight it differently."

WOW! I just got it, my discontentment comes from entitlement, not fully trusting God with my life and not seeing beyond this present world. Lord forgive me and please give me another view of You so I can please you in ALL that I do, stop walking around feeling sorry for myself and so that I can be about Your business and not mine. Thank you Ladies for this wonderful and truthful conversation 💕
My heart resonated with nearly every single statement / nugget these women shared. I'm trusting that the Lord is working this discontentment, and pride-like spirit, out of me but I need to depend on every ounce of His mercy and grace to let him do so... with all thanksgiving!!
