BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Good video! i just replaced the oil cooler housing and did spark plugs, plus one coil pack for good measure in this exact vehicle/engine. Those 2 bolts behind the throttle body on that back bracket were a PAIN! I left the farthest one off. Its my own personal vehicle and if 10 bolts can't keep that upper intake cover tight, screw the vehicle! LMAO. I left it off so I won't cry when i have to do spark plugs again or get to those rockers (If ever). Oh and people, buy the good aluminum cooler housing if you ever replace. Those plastic ones are crap!
Thanks for the video, but after seeing all this maybe I will need to lock for a reliable workshop to take care of the problem, I don't think I will be able to do it myself!
I was unable to remove the passenger side valve cover. There's a transmission fill tube behind it that doesn't allow for enough clearance to pull the valve cover off. I have a 2011 GC if that makes a difference.
Thank for making this video. One question. Do you really need to take the intake if you just need to do the right side? I didn't catch that from the video. One minute you are taking right side valve cover off the other minute you struggle to remove the intake. Let me know thanks
Had a bad engine noise and found all cams and many lifters in poor condition. Replaced all Cams and lifters and ended up with a rod noise from scorred piston walls. Ended up replacing the engine. Doe anyone need a deal on 4 cams and 24 barely used lifters.
Nice walk through. Much appreciated since I'll be tacking this in the next few weeks.
The brutal honesty of taking hours working through removal of parts. Real!
This will be my experience. 58k 2015 jgc.
This video saved me $3000 from a dealership!
Thank you 🙏🏼

This issue seems to be so prevalent that i’m shocked that chrysler won’t cover a repair recall.

Which oil cooler housing did you buy?

So I just watched a video where they didn't remove the cam, just one bad rocker. Do you HAVE to remove the cam for this job?
Great video, besides the valve cover gasket, is there any other mandatory gasket or seals that I have to replace when putting back the valve cover?
Replace the 6 air intake gaskets. They will leak over time causing lose of power due to a vacuums leak.

Great video , do you have the parts number of the parts you purchase from the dealership?

You should not work on this pentastar v6 if u don't know that is a PCV. YOU ARE Scary.
You have NO idea what ur doing. Scarey that u are a mechanic. Cam didn't have to come out
Well you're not born a mechanic and he looks very young ,heck he just proud he help his girlfriend
That’s right, can didn’t have to take the cam out “if” he was certain the back of the cam was where the bad rocker was.
