The base 16gb ram upgrade will completely tank the aftermarket sale of the 8gb models. They never should have been so cheap and selling a base model with 8gb of ram in 2023/2024. I'm truly considering switching to PC.
This is a not the way some might see it, because people with the 8gb models are not running out to sell it based on what's new. They are going to keep this model until it is dead. Therefore, people just getting into a MacBook will get the perks of the 16gb model at a great price. Also, strange reason to leave a Mac for the under powered PC.
@@smartphoneconversations That is a valid point. You're right in the sense that people with the 8gb model aren't rushing to get the 16gb model and will wait till their machine is dead, but I think it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that I just bought my M3 a few months ago when I know the competition had been offering 16gb base ram for quite a while. If my workflow ever gets to the point where 16gb is needed I'll have to take a huge hit on my resell value. Just annoyed that Apple should and could have been putting a high base spec for the high cost of the laptops. I get where you're coming from though.
Oh I see your view, and yes I agree. That does hurt a little, I understand. But don't worry about it too much, and won't drop your Mac for a PC. 😆 You'll regret it, because the power you have is unmatched by nearly EVERY PC on the market.
Solid laptop great to travel with a large bright screen
Thinking about getting one of these for the large screen. Nice video.
The bigger screen is a game changer!

@@smartphoneconversations Good point. I should just focus on enjoying the Mac and forget the small stuff! Thanks man
i have the 13 inch m2, I want to get the 15 inch m3. is it too big for using in bed and carrying around compared to the 13 inch?
I'd say go into the store and check it out. I use it all the time in bed, and in a backpack...no issue to me. It's thin enough.
No issues with travelling or using it in bed.
Nice video
