Flagship feels, (also feels like you're holding an iPhone because of the built) solid built, battery and power efficient, awesome cameras and screen display (the cameras here are into more natural shot both front and back) very smooth animations and stable video recording. This phone is not really for heavy gamers, but it can still handle it properly. It's a more well-balanced smartphone for everyday use and you'll be satisfied with this phone. It also goes with your style!

Hi Wade. I'm thinking of buying an A55 in the next days. My S7 Edge has an issue. It opens with a Samsung S7 edge greeting, it goes to the main menu but very soon shuts down. Reopens, a new Samsung S7 Edge greeting and then shuts down once again. I don't really know if it's a battery problem (battery warms up). Once it shuts down, it won't open again until the battery is completely drained and a new charge cycle begins so it opens and starts the same problem. I have to go to a technician to see what causes that and fix it. 7 years of use for S7 Edge came to an end? Soon I'll get to see what kind of issue is going on.
Since the A34 was admittedly better than the A54 of yesteryear, compare the A34 to the A55. Would be interesting to see if the Dimensity 1080 is even more powerful than the 1480, just like it was with the 1380 last year 👍
The dimensity was only really better because of temperatures and battery. In terms of raw performance, they were almost on par with each other. I would definitely say the A34 was "better" overall but not necessarily more powerful. Software updates also make a big difference when it comes to chipset performance and optimization, so it's possible that an A54 performs even better for gaming nowadays. Exynos 1480 should also be quite a bit faster than the Dimensity 1080 considering there's almost a 200k overall difference concerning Antutu scores. 540k on Dimensity 1080 vs 720k on Exynos 1480. But benchmark tests aren't always reliable. However, A55's chipset is a noticeable improvement in all areas over the A54 and the A34 according to a few videos I've seen from other YT channels like NL Tech and whatnot (take that with a grain of salt). Battery life is at least on par with the Dimensity 1080, if not superior by quite a decent margin and has no heating issues as far I'm concerned. Techmo, another YT channel, has done tests on this on his most recent videos regarding A55's battery.
Ngl this isnt true...I used both A54 and A34....exynos is mile better than dimensity 1080...only subpar in battery na gaming otherwise there is no way dimensity 1080 is better than ezynos 1380
The next a56 should replace the fe in America. Bring back the headphone jack, keep the micro sd slot, put a charger in the box the next a56 would fly of the shelves and if they ditch the s24fe wouldn’t eat into them sales next one up would be the base s model which would have more features like dex to justify the higher price
Man, I want the A55! I don't want to have to get the A35 in the US, because my A54 is basically an A35, and the S23 FE is a little too rxpensive for me, plus I like the A55 size better and the SD card slot. I want to upgrade to the A55, but Samsung killed that because of their greed and wanting me to buy an S23 FE. Why make it if they don't want to sell it to us?! I'm angry as a Samsung customer.
Samsung's current strategy of focusing on mid-range devices may be limiting their sales potential. By offering older flagship models, such as the S22 and S23 series, at more competitive prices, Samsung could attract more customers who are looking for a balance of affordability and performance. For example, the S22 could be priced at $349, the S22+ at $449, the S23 at $449, and the S23+ at $549. This would make these devices more accessible to a wider range of consumers and could help Samsung increase its market share. Additionally, offering longer software update support, such as the seven years of Android updates for the S24 series, would further enhance the value proposition of these older flagship models and encourage customers to choose Samsung over its competitors. In order to streamline our product line and enhance efficiency, it is recommended that we discontinue the production of the M and F series phones. Additionally, we should reduce the number of models in the A series, focusing primarily on the A0x, A1x, and potentially the A2x models. Eliminating the need for the A3x and A5x models will simplify our offerings and optimize resource allocation.
@Icydress301 not in terms of making so many phones that's the only one area they should not completly copy but some what copy get rid of the m and f series and upper a series phones, a0x a1x n a2x are already $200 for cheaper don't need the m and f phones, a3x and a5x could be replaced with selling s22/s23 brand new on there local for a reduced cost, we don't need the fe considering samsung phones go down in cost alot faster, unless they could release a lite model at the sametime as the flagship models because when you release the fe almost a year later the s23 for example already went down in price, releasing the s23 fe in Q1 of 2023 a month later at $599 would've been a much smarter choice, the whole point it it's supposed to be more affordable but what's the point when you could get the s23+ at reduced cost. Samsung needs to do better planning with the fe line or not release it at all. People get confused and if Samsung could clean up there line and get upper mid range terrorist merging with older flagship at reduced cost will reduce stereotypes of Samsung phones being laggy, people start comparing galaxy a series phone to an iPhone and say it's so much faster, if you could get those people's hand on a galaxy s22 that stereotype will end of android phones being so laggy. These are way too many midrange phones that could easily be reduced.
@@AGoogleUser223 in terms of removing stuff, the only aspect that I want Samsung to copy of apple is sell phones like the s22/s22+ and s23/s23+ but at a reduced cost, like a refurbished s22 could be found $250 or less so brand new should be $349, the s23 refurbished is around $400 so brand new should be $500, $399 for the s22+ and $599 for the s23+ they already don't sell the a3x and a5x in the US and that can eliminate the s23 fe, I understand they have to try selling the s23 fe but for future they should release the fe a month later with making it look more like the s series instead of the a series, the s23fe in appreance is so much like the galaxy a3x and a5x, I understand it has to look cheaper than the s23, the s21 fe is a perfect example of how an fe phone should look, since the s23 has symmetrical bezel the fe should've kept the chin of the s21 while having the s23 bezels on the other 3 edge, that chin will differentiate it from the s23 but it should look more premium than $300 phones.
I'll only upgrade my Galaxy A52s if the next-gen (A56) finally gets a telephoto camera. But for now, I'm still happy with my phone as it still performs pretty well and still works like new.
I had to choose between this A55 and a slightly used S23 for €460, i've got the S23 since it's far more value for money worthy and it's not bad at all, and yeah the A55 its great and bla bla but think about it, its a last year flagship with snapdragon, battery is absolutely great and yeah, all in all i would choose s23 over A55 anytime since i've tested A55 already
@@Sayedazann the thing is s22 is a shithole when we talk about battery and heating issues, i like the dimensions and the feel tho, tough you will keep it in a phone case anyways
@@Sayedazann S22? Really? With SG 8gen1 or Exynos 2200, both of them very bad at everything. The A55 won't overheat in 5 minutes of usage and will sustain max performance for hours.
That's my phone right now after terrible experiences with Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro. Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro dropped 60-70% on very light usage from morning to evening, but the A55 dropped only 10-12% on the same very light usage from morning to evening.
Gonna hang onto my A54 and see what the A56 will bring to the table. Love the new premium built but spec-wise, not worth the upgrade. Hopefully we get a new camera setup, telephoto instead of macro, bigger battery with 45w charging like the upcoming M55 or at least wireless charging next year with the A56. Would appreciate it Samsung drop that bizarre looking "Key Island" too!
Bought mine thru Samsung Australia 128g came with single sim with SD slot + ESim. Special deal with Samsung got $140 trade in on A52 and Galaxy Buds FE. AUD559
Nice try, but but; Those thick bezels are almost disturbing in 2024. For the price Sammy wants, now days you can get an open box S23fe, which has an optical zoom lens and a flagship SOC.
Does the A55 give full full control of flash in all camera shooting modes? Like do you have flash available in 50 mp resolution in low as well as bright lighting?
I'm thinking of either getting this phone or the a54.Honestly, wish there were more stable budget options, cause I don't trust what China is cooking with their tech lol
Are the viewing angles better on this one compared to last year's a54?😅 Cause my a54 has terrible viewing angles, tilting the screen ever so slightly gives it a blue/green cast. And does the screen appear grainy sometimes?
I bought the A54 a few days ago for about 40% less than the price of an A55, as the improvements seemed incremental. It sounds like I probably made the right choice. Having said that, coming from an A71, I was surprised at how thick and heavy these phones are! I feel like I am carrying a brick 😂 I am pleased with it other than that.
The funniest thing is: The Brazilian version come with a 15w charger and if I remember correctly support eSIM The versions available here in Brazil is: 8/128GB and 8/256GB In fact, in Brazil there is a costumer law that doesn't allow any product to not being selled without something that is important for the product to work, and the charger is included on this (and this is why iPhones are banned here). So yeah, almost every Samsung model come with a charger (Galaxy S and Galaxy Z come with a 25w charger)
Honestly, I’d be pretty content with the a15 if I could get one. Most of these phones are mostly alike, just a few upgrades here and there and fancy launches to advertise the phone. Hoping for a galaxy a15 😂
How is the band compatible with the u s bands since it is not being released in the us market. Will it work with all three carriers or will there missing bands?
Only works on tmobile, and even then it's missing some bands. So this is a ymmw situation. Stevelicious says he has no problems with it on tmobile and can get 5g.
In terms of camera and usage, they are very similar. If you care more about gaming performance, go for the S23fe. If you care more about battery life, go for the A55.
If they arent making it available for the US then whats the alternative gonna be? Is it gonna be the flagship S series at a discounted price or a totally completely new series? Would they make the FE cheaper?
Oh m g omg omg am soooo happy to see u did it review of a55 this phone i waiting ur review about this phone am confused between a54 vs a55 buy it or not but unfortunately its not launched in pakistan till now 😢
Biggest difference I see is the A54 had a metal ring around the front facing camera. It was very annoying and screamed "budget." Now with the A55 it appears to be gone and is a normal punchout camera. Very nice.
Im gonna switch back to Samsung after using my Xiaomi for more than four years. I really like everything about this phone so I think I made up my mind to buy this ine
Same here. Im definitely going with a samsung this time (A55 or S23). After almost 4 years of use, my redmi note 9 pro has now several problems with display, especially annoying is the ghost touch or whatever it's called.
You can select 2160p resolution, but the video itself isn’t being displayed or viewed in that resolution since the screen is 1080p and only shows so many pixels
A55 specs is catching up to my Pixel 7 when it comes to specs. I'm looking forward to when a midtier device outperforms a 3 year old "flagship" - possibly with the Galaxy A56

The galaxy s35 is a downgrade from the a34 considering they used the same exynos 1380 from the a54
A34 better than 54? Are you on drugs? In what universe? Maybe in your world.
Because iPhone is 75% of the US market
Honestly the design top and bottom doesn't look too big at all what are fans talking about😮
Really people act like they watch the bezel not the screen
The bezels seem too big !! ..
Does this phone have circle to search? And can you multitask on it like tik tok on top and fb on the bottom?
Multitask yes but no circle to search yet
Also changing the A series to J series is a more sensible option. A0x will become J3,
A1 and A2 series will become J5 and J7 series.
And lastly, Samsung is more looking like Apple
@@AGoogleUser223 in terms of removing stuff, the only aspect that I want Samsung to copy of apple is sell phones like the s22/s22+ and s23/s23+ but at a reduced cost, like a refurbished s22 could be found $250 or less so brand new should be $349, the s23 refurbished is around $400 so brand new should be $500, $399 for the s22+ and $599 for the s23+ they already don't sell the a3x and a5x in the US and that can eliminate the s23 fe, I understand they have to try selling the s23 fe but for future they should release the fe a month later with making it look more like the s series instead of the a series, the s23fe in appreance is so much like the galaxy a3x and a5x, I understand it has to look cheaper than the s23, the s21 fe is a perfect example of how an fe phone should look, since the s23 has symmetrical bezel the fe should've kept the chin of the s21 while having the s23 bezels on the other 3 edge, that chin will differentiate it from the s23 but it should look more premium than $300 phones.
i recently got my ice cold a55 and its really cool. definiteley prefer it over iphones
I'll only upgrade my Galaxy A52s if the next-gen (A56) finally gets a telephoto camera. But for now, I'm still happy with my phone as it still performs pretty well and still works like new.
Would you recommend this one or the Nothing 2a?
Had an s9+ in Lilac purple back in the day it was an awesome color lol.
Those days😢
Esim standard offer here in Thailand so check which model you buy to get dual Sim, Esim and storage slot options. Very handy 😊
Even comparing the S22 to the A55, the S series still reigns supreme with its superior performance and speed.
The Samsung Galaxy A55 is literally S24 FE but earlier
S23 FE is a lot better than A55 though
@@thepapnmapn6733not really
Is this phone head and shoulders better than a S20 FE? I've been using that for the past 3 years.
I would say so, yes
I'm using s2o fe for 5 years. Now I'm going to upgrade to this phone
@@SofiaSayang Bought a S23 Ultra last month. It was about time.
@@keithpalacios9417 good for u.
A54 and A55 are solid.
Mr. TechDaily is it worth it to buy a55 or should I wait to a56?
Id say wait for the a56 and if you dont like that one you could just buy this and it will be cheaper
Bought mine thru Samsung Australia 128g came with single sim with SD slot + ESim. Special deal with Samsung got $140 trade in on A52 and Galaxy Buds FE. AUD559
Thanks for that because now I get the information I want to buy one for me👏👏
Glad you enjoyed the video! I hope you're able to buy one soon!
does the phone support 5G?
Nice try, but but; Those thick bezels are almost disturbing in 2024. For the price Sammy wants, now days you can get an open box S23fe, which has an optical zoom lens and a flagship SOC.
Does the A55 give full full control of flash in all camera shooting modes? Like do you have flash available in 50 mp resolution in low as well as bright lighting?
is it worth it to change from my A73?
I'm thinking of either getting this phone or the a54.Honestly, wish there were more stable budget options, cause I don't trust what China is cooking with their tech lol
Get this . A54 heats too much
Same
Get a54 ❤
That bump on the pwr and vol controls......My God, anything to make a budget phone NOT look premium right Samsung?
Are the viewing angles better on this one compared to last year's a54?😅 Cause my a54 has terrible viewing angles, tilting the screen ever so slightly gives it a blue/green cast. And does the screen appear grainy sometimes?
I bought the A54 a few days ago for about 40% less than the price of an A55, as the improvements seemed incremental. It sounds like I probably made the right choice. Having said that, coming from an A71, I was surprised at how thick and heavy these phones are! I feel like I am carrying a brick 😂 I am pleased with it other than that.
You are, at this moment, better value is 54.
I have an A52, and im thinking about buying a new phone. Should i get the A55 5G or something else (i want only samsung nothing else)
The funniest thing is: The Brazilian version come with a 15w charger and if I remember correctly support eSIM
The versions available here in Brazil is: 8/128GB and 8/256GB
In fact, in Brazil there is a costumer law that doesn't allow any product to not being selled without something that is important for the product to work, and the charger is included on this (and this is why iPhones are banned here). So yeah, almost every Samsung model come with a charger (Galaxy S and Galaxy Z come with a 25w charger)
Has there been any over heat issues with this phone yet ?
Does this phone has HDMI output thru USB C?
no it doesn't have
@@Fearless-Hyena oohhh bumer, well keep saving for a Samsung phine with HDMI output
i am confused between redmi note 13 pro+ and samsung a55 witch one i should buy?
A55 is better in every way except charging speed.
Honestly, I’d be pretty content with the a15 if I could get one. Most of these phones are mostly alike, just a few upgrades here and there and fancy launches to advertise the phone.
Hoping for a galaxy a15 😂
Will the A55 work on Verizon's system ?
How is the band compatible with the u s bands since it is not being released in the us market. Will it work with all three carriers or will there missing bands?
Only works on tmobile, and even then it's missing some bands.
So this is a ymmw situation. Stevelicious says he has no problems with it on tmobile and can get 5g.
Can you use a headset with cable? Without I am not interested
should i upgrade for the a53 to a55 cause a53 is becoming laggy and overheating alot battery is bad
Yes
Hello, I think you do have an esim on the phone. We do in the UK, not sure about the US though?
to clarify a mistake at 5:27, the phone actually does have e-SIM support.
Should i upgrade from Samsung A34?
I'm new to Samsung. In your opinion, is the A55 better than the S23 FE? I'm purchasing for my grandson. Thanks in advance!
In terms of camera and usage, they are very similar. If you care more about gaming performance, go for the S23fe. If you care more about battery life, go for the A55.
my most awaited Samsung review, is it worth it to buy it from a51 to a55?
DEFINITELY
If they arent making it available for the US then whats the alternative gonna be? Is it gonna be the flagship S series at a discounted price or a totally completely new series? Would they make the FE cheaper?
Most likely an S24 FE will be introduced..
I think they will create regular sales on S23 FE for 400-450 in the US like they did on Black Friday.
... maybe its the A35.
They will probally raise the A35 price so the S24FE will look like the best bang for buck.
I've been waiting for you to review the A55 since it got released, I think I'm now ready for an upgrade from the A34
Why upgrade though? Don't fall into hype and just save the money lol
Please reply,
I have googles office 30w brick.
Can I charge A55 with it. When I buy.
About damn time
Should i update my samsung A71 to this?
Yes
Oh m g omg omg am soooo happy to see u did it review of a55 this phone i waiting ur review about this phone am confused between a54 vs a55 buy it or not but unfortunately its not launched in pakistan till now 😢
I REALLY dig the changes of the A55’s frames. Making them all metal as well??! Oh Sammy (Smasnug) ((I mean Samsung)) girl you spoil us so!
In minute 05:28 you mentioned that is doesn't have eSIM. Could you please check and correct this info as I know that A55 comes with the esim Option.
Biggest difference I see is the A54 had a metal ring around the front facing camera. It was very annoying and screamed "budget." Now with the A55 it appears to be gone and is a normal punchout camera. Very nice.
I noticed that as well! Nice little change
@_Minos an update. I bought the A55 and I'm really satisfied. You should definitely get it.
@@g3ven59 Tnx for the recommendation, you made it easier now for me 🙏🏻
£289 in the UK at the moment..fantastic.
Can i ask if has adapter included?
5:30 Wrong! The A55 Does have an ESIM! SMH.
The phone definitely feels big in the hand. Also the bezels aren't uniform all the way around.
How is the virtual proximity sensor on this A55?
Samsung could work on the thick bezels.
Would you consider comparing to the a52 5g for people like me that didnt upgrade to a a53/a54
i might not get the a55 but i love the lilac colours
Can you watch RUclips videos in 4K on the app with this phone?
There's no point. The screen resolution is 1080x2340. That's not even enough for 1440p resolution
You can select 2160p resolution, but the video itself isn’t being displayed or viewed in that resolution since the screen is 1080p and only shows so many pixels
The bitrate will be a lot better even though the pixels won’t show
love this phone super success❤❤❤
One plus 7t was the one and only true Macro lense tech worthy. I kept mine for this reason. Lol.
Pls compare A52/A52s and A55
A55 is better
Awesome! 💜
But ive been told by a salesperson that this phone supports esim. Is that true?
Great video and great phone
no esim? there's esim support for it atleast in indonesia
It wasn’t showing on mine, but I see a lot of people mentioning this. Need to investigate
