I was apparently the first customer in the UK to take delivery of the Electrified G80, and having owned the car for some 17 months, I am pleased to say its the best car ive owned, and this comes after twenty years of various Jaguar's and seven yeays owning a Maserati Ghibli.
Having looked at the video, unlike others who have commented, i think the revised cabin is a step forward bringing it in line with other newer Genesis models, as well as sorting out some ergonomic issues with the current model. The wood trim (and yes its real wood they use) looks as though its been repositioned and redesigned - the wood on the dash appears to now run above the dash vents, and on the centre console it looks tidier.
Of course the big changes are the new screen and steering wheel, which just makes it look more up to date, and in line with current designs.
Exterior changes seem minimal with just redisgned bumper mouldings.
Here in the UK, the brand is relatively unknown, with the biggest seller being the GV60, this coupled with the quite brilliant exterior design, means my E G80 continues to attract no end of positive attention, with most thinking its some kind of Bentley, which given thats where the stylists at Genesis used to work is probably no surprise!

Like with the GV80, I find the current 2023 G80 to look a lot better. This refresh I feel is a step backwards, both interior-wise and exterior-wise but I'm not surprised. This seems to be a trend with Hyundai/Kia products where the redesigns are very cutting edge and amazing and then all the subsequent refreshes look to tone it down a notch or cut costs in a creative way to save for the next following redesign.

As a Luxury dedicated vehicle, the LS is still the best Lexus you could get. It executes luxury better than any other vehicle in their lineup. Massaging front and rear seats (LX lacks). Power rear shades (LX lacks). A panoramic roof (LX lacks). 24” HUD, (LX has the old system). Available Lexus Teammate (LX Lacks).
Step inside a LS equipped with the Executive package and compare the Kiriko glass or hand pleated origami to the LX’s interior. The LS Transmission was corrected in 2019. The LS is also RWD, goes faster (4.6s), gets better gas mileage (3mpg better than the G80), and costs $10k less! So what is better about the G80? Is it just because it is a newer design? Don’t bring up “looks” because they’re subjective. And in my opinion, the LS has a much better interior layout and materials than the G80 (which in fact the facelift made it worse). The way I see it, Genesis can’t make a car in 2023 that is better than a 6yr old Lexus! Shame on you and Genesis for not being able to make a car better than the one you guys criticize about.

I am really shocked how bitter Lexus fans actually are. I've driven many cars from many brands but Lexus fans seem to be the most defensive drivers on earth. Look at these comments, how rude Lexus fans get once you critizise the brand for its ancient products. Even when their new models come out, they are already outdated.
Lexus had their prime time from 89 to 2017 then it went downhill after. Look at the IS or GS from the early to mid 2000s, their cars were elegant and simple designed. Like Jeremy Clarkson said about the LFA, it looks as fresh as a freshly picked berry in the woods. This was Lexus. Now their designs are a desparate attempt to gain attention, completely ignoring what makes a car actually elegant. Lines after lines, no elegance whatsoever. Cancelling RWD products for Camrys isnt gonna help either. The G80 is so good that even biased German car magazines let it win against the Audi A6. This says more than enough. Everybody tearing down Genesis for their ride comfort simply has never driven one.
