I was just diagnosed with early Alz so am reading and watching all I can find. What a shocker to have face personally, but also finding experts who can help me.

To find the link for the memory exercises that I referred to during this talk, you may search on Google by typing: "Moussavi Brain exercises"; usually the first page found is the right one. RUclips does not let me to post the link in the comment here!

I cared for Rose who had dementia. It was the most challenging time of my life as she reverted back to WWII when she was a teenager (this is in The Inspired Caregiver book). Her mental health was like swiss cheese: one moment she was seemingly fine, the next she fell down a hole and didn't know the year, where she was, etc. She screamed at me for not informing me that her mother just passed away (her mother passed away 10 years previous, and SHE attended her memorial). The Inspired Caregiver was written for the health of the caregiver. It has a caregiver pledge to repeat daily along with affirmations and good tips. As far as I am concerned, we all need to eat food that is excellent for the brain.
Zahra is funny! I love her in-love joke! Great tips! When Rose and I were driving, and Rose thought we were in Hawaii when we were really in California, I went along with it. It is much easier than arguing with her. Alzheimer's patients can get embarrassed and verbally abuse you. Dr. Zahra Moussavi, I hope you find a cure for Alzheimer's soon! Thank you for a wonderful TED Talk.

*So sad, but anyone who has looked after a loved one with dementia will know how hard it is physically and mentally. My heart goes out to anyone/everyone affected by Alzheimer/Dementia. A huge shout out to any caregiver doing this alone! I feel your journey. I feel your pain because I've been there. My mom was also diagnosed in her 60s. Feeling absolutely shattered, heartbroken and drained , working with different physicians across the country with little or no improvement. I was exhausted and overwhelmed to look any further. Crying a lot through frustration, anger and despair, But today with the help of Homeocure Worldwide Natural Medicine, my mother is completely healthy and well again. I think we only need more support and sunlight to overcome this dreadful disease. Search for support regardless and don't stop until you get it. With Homeocure Worldwide treatment, there is hope, don't give up! contact them on their youtube channel for more info*

Hi Zahra, thanks so much for your Ted Talk, very wonderful and it gives hope to the Alzheimer patients, I did the test on the brain memory, I did not get a perfect score, what does that mean?

Hi Catriona, please first let me know what memory test you took, and your age. It may mean nothing really. There is not one test that can determine a decline for sure. We run several parallel and independent tests to identify a brain function decline.
