I have regular sidewinder carried it on belt everyday for 7 years. Helmet mount works great for me.

Random Army thing, but the helmet band for your ACH is supposed to sit in that little gap for your NVG baseplate.

This was just a ACH. but I also have one on a chinisium high cut.

My PVS-14 illuminator is much brighter than the Sidewinder Compact II in infrared mode. The RWB colors are also pretty dim. Consider the Sidewinder Compact II a map light, nothing more. So I sent this toy back for a refund, and then I bought a REAL light.
